Abstract

Abstract         The  aimed of this research was to knowed how the effectiveness of cooperative learning model type think-talk-write (TTW) on linear function materials in class XI SMK Mandiri Pontianak. The method used is  a pre- experimental research  conducted using post test only design, while the subject are 20 the students of class XI SMK Mandiri Pontianak.   The result of the data analysis showed that is the ability of teachers to manage learning was in good category an average score of 3.4, student activity during the learning process as a whole is very active with the average percentage of 81.12%, student learning result was complete with an  average value of  90.15% and student response during the learning  was in very good  category with the average percentage of 81.17%. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that application of cooperatif learning model type think-talk-write (TTW) was effective in teaching a linear function material in class  XI SMK Mandiri Pontianak.         Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model, Cooperative Learning Type TTW

Abstract

                         AbstractThis research aimed to know the effect of guided discovery learning model assisted by student’s worksheet on mathematical conceptual understanding in pythagorean theorem. This research method was pre-experimental and research design was One Shot Case Study. The subject of this research was students of 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Suti Semarang, Bengkayang. The sample of this research was VIII A which amounted to 30 people. The data collected were analyzed using One Sample T tets (α = 5%). Based on data analysis result, obtained t .  The result of data analysis using One Sample T test showed that there was no positive effect on  mathematical conceptual understanding ability that have been given by guided discovery learning model assited by student worksheet. The conclusion was guided discovery learning model assisted by student worksheet couldn’t be used to increase students’ mathematical conceptual understanding ability in students of 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Suti Semarang, Bengkayang.Keywords: Guided Discovery Learning, Mathematical Conceptual Understanding, Pythagorean Theorem, Student Worksheet

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to explain the improvement of conceptual understanding of students through the learning of manipulative material in the matter of integers at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak academic year 2017/2018. The research method used is Single Subject Research (SSR) method with A-B-A-B design. The subjects of this research are students of class VII E Junior High School 8 Pontianak, amounting to 5 students. Data collection techniques used were measurement techniques. The data collection tools used test. The results of data analysis from this research indicate that there is an improvement of conceptual understanding of students through the learning of manipulative material in the material of addition operation and reduction of integer with each phase a conceptual understanding test of 1 session was obtained by baseline phase 1 with an average percentage of 24.54%, treatment phase 1 with an average percentage of 69.09%, baseline phase 2 with a percentage of 72.72% and phase treatment 2 with a percentage of 90%. Keywords:  Conceptual Understanding, Manipulative Material

Abstract

This study aims to develop a product for developing a mathematics learning blog on material in junior high school. The research method used in this research is the research and development method. Research and development are the process of developing a new product or improving an existing product. The data collection tools include a material expert validation questionnaire, a media expert validation questionnaire, and a student response questionnaire. From the results of material expert validation, an average score of 75 was obtained with a good category, the results of media expert validation obtained an average score of 75 with a good category, then the response questionnaire was obtained, namely a positive response with a percentage of 96.18% and a negative response with a percentage of 3.82 %. Based on the data obtained, it can be obtained that the blog development product is as expected and in accordance with the needs and curriculum. The responses that have been submitted to students get a very good response.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the stages of the traditional marriage tradition of the Dayak Kalis tribe in Nanga Danau village, Kalis sub-district, Kapuas Hulu district, and to find out of what mathematical activities are include in the implementation of the stages of the traditional wedding tradition. The form of research used is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects in this study consisted of three subjects, the first being the traditional chief at the hamlet level, the second subject at the village level, and the third being an elder traditional leader. Data collection techniques used are interview, documentation, and observation techniques. The data collection tools used were interview guides, observation guidelines, cellphone cameras and voice recorders. The result and analysis of the data obtained from this study are (1) At the stage of the Situtukang Baba’ and Paseset activities there is an activity to explain. (2) At the stage of Baru-Baru there are activities to explain, determine location, and count. And the mathematical concepts contained in it are the concepts of counting, the concept of logic, the concept of multiplication, and the concept of multiples.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui Adat Dayak Kanayatn sebagai aspek matematis dalam pernikahan yang berkaitan dengan kajian etnomatematika, sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika disekolah, serta aspek matematis yang terdapat dalam tradisi pernikahan. Tujuh subjek dalam penelitian yaitu: 1 ahli patone’, 1 pembantu patone’, subjek pelaksana: 1 perias, 2 orang tua pria,  2 orang tua  wanita. Objek penelitian yaitu Tradisi Pernikahan Masyarakat Dayak Kanayatn di Kecamatan Toho, Kabupaten Mempawah. Penelitian berjenis deskriptif kualitatif. Data hasil wawancara subjek penelitian, kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Dayak Kanayatn Kecamatan Toho, Kabupaten Mempawah. Kemudian dikaji aspek matematisnya berdasarkan 6 aktivitas dasar matematis. Satu aspek matematis yang dominan, yaitu membilang. Aspek membilang nampak ketika Patone’ melakukan nyangahatn, yang bertujuan memohon kepada Jubata agar turut campur dalam Pernikahan. Patone’ mengawali aktivitas  membilang: asa’, dwa, talu, ampat, lima, anam, tujuh.  Angka tujuh adalah angka paling  tinggi bermakna kegenapan.Kata kunci: Kajian Etnomatematika, Tradisi Pernikahan, Masyarakat Dayak Kanayatn

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan etnomatematika dalam kain tenun libau dan implementasikan corak kain tenun kedalam pembuatan LKPD berbasis budaya di kelas VII SMP. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kurangnya minat peserta didik terhadap kebudayaan yang ada serta pembelajaran di sekolah yang masih minim dalam mengaitkan pembelajaran matematika dengan budaya lokal. Etnomatematika dalam penelitian ini merupakan gabungan antara kebudayaan lokal dengan konsep matematika. Penggabungan kebudayaan lokal dan pelajaran matematika di sekolah akan membuat kegiatan belajar menjadi menarik dan bervariasi. Penggabungan ini diharapkan menarik minat maupun perhatian peserta didik dan dapat membantu memahami pelajaran matematika dengan baik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi dengan subjek penelitiannya yaitu perempuan suku Dayak De’sa yang membuat kain tenun. Teknik  pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi terhadap dokumentasi objek penelitian dan komunikasi langsung berupa wawancara. Alat-alat yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data yaitu kamera, rekaman, pedoman wawancara dan pedoman observasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan memilah data yang sejenis lalu melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kain Tenun Corak Libau memiliki konsep etnomatematika pada proses membuat kain tenun maupun dalam motif yang dibuat. Bentuk corak libau yang ada pada kain tenun tersebut diintegrasikan kedalam pembuatan LKPD berbasis budaya materi segitiga dan segiempat untuk peserta didik di sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

There is a relationship between cultural activities and education; this education applies to all subjects, one of which is mathematics. The relationship between mathematics and culture is called ethnomathematics. One of the cultural activities that has a relationship with mathematics is the traditional wedding tradition. Traditional wedding traditions are often carried out every year, and many people are interested in attending and witnessing the traditional wedding tradition taking place. Unbeknownst to the public, they have witnessed some mathematical activity. Many people still think that mathematics is something foreign and difficult, even though they just don't realize that so far every activity they have done has mathematics in it. In order to raise awareness of the role of mathematics in everyday life, a study of ethnomathematical activities and mathematical ideas embedded in the Dayak Kebahan traditional wedding ritual has been conducted. This study employed an ethnographic approach and a qualitative research methodology. by observing and interviewing two people as research subjects to get research results that are in accordance with the existing problem formulation. The results of the research show that there are ethnomathematical activities and mathematical concepts in the traditional Dayak Kebahan wedding tradition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggali teori matematika maupun aktivitas etnomatematika yang ada pada pelaksanaan ritual adat nimang padi suku dayak kanayat’n di Kecamatan Toho. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek dari penelitian ini merupakan 3 orang narasumber yang mengerti atau mengetahui tentang ritual adat nimang padi suku dayak kanayat’n. berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi didapat 6 aktivitas etnomatematika yang terkandung dalam ritual adat tersebut yakni; 1) aktivitas membilang/menghitung; 2) aktivitas mengukur; 3) aktivitas mendesain; 4) aktivitas penentuan lokasi; 5) aktivitas bermain; dan 6) aktivitas menjelaskan, serta memuat konsep bangun datar dan bangun ruang.

Abstract

Mathematics that is done in everyday life which functions to facilitate work, transactions and so on is called ethnomathematics. This study aims to describe ethnomathematics in goods distribution activities carried out by online traders. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The number of research subjects was 4 online traders consisting of 2 agents and 2 resellers. The research location is in Sungai Kelambu Village, Tebas District, Sambas Regency. The research was carried out on March 20 and March 25, 2022. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. The research procedure was carried out in 4 stages, namely the pre-research stage, data collection, data analysis and report preparation. The research instruments were observation sheets, interview guides, and documentation. The results of the study show that there is ethnomathematics in the distribution of goods carried out by online traders. The ethnomathematical activities in the distribution of goods can be seen in the materials on measurement, assemblage, number arithmetic operations, comparisons, least common multiples (KPK), and social arithmetic.
