Abstract

Science process skills are one of the indicators to know the level of achievement of physics teaching goals. This research examines the influence of guided inquiry models through virtual laboratories on students' science process skills. The research was a quasi-experiment conducted at the senior high school in Mataram, Lombok. The samples were class XI students, as many as 58 people divided into two sample groups: experimental and control groups. The guided inquiry model through the virtual laboratory was applied to the experimental group and the conventional model for the control group. The instrument used was a performance sheet. A t-test was used to analyze the effect of learning model on science process skill. The results of this study found that the achievement of science process skills for the experimental group was higher than the control group. The guided inquiry models through virtual laboratory have a significant effect on science process skills, especially on skills: hypothesizing, practicing, and communicating. These findings contribute significantly to the current knowledge about the effectiveness of guided inquiry models through virtual laboratories to improve students' science process skills in physics teaching.

Abstract

[Title: The Effect of a Talking Stick Learning Model on Student Learning Activities]. A fun learning environment, active and meaningful for students need to be created by applying active learning model for students that learning model talking stick. This type of research is quasi-experimental. This research aimed to know there is or no effect of talking stick learning model toward students learning activeness. This research implemented in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Mataram in academic year 2015/2016 from March to April 2016. The technique of sample using cluster random sampling, in order to obtain first-class VIII I totalling 30 students as an experimental class and class VIII E totalling 30 students as the control class. The results of this research are students’ activeness learning showed by using the instrument is activeness of student learning questionnaire. Based on data analysis showed that t-test was 8.28 and t- table was 2.000 (df = 58). So, t-test > t-table (8.28 > 2.000). This means that there is an effect of talking stick learning model toward students learning activeness.

Abstract

E-learning is learning process through electronic media, especially internet. E-learning enables learners to learn or possess science no matter when and where. The goal of this study was to develop Moodle in problem-based learning in order to improve learners’ critical thinking skills. . The study was a research and development (R&D) study conducted in four stages, i.e. preliminary study, developing design, testing Moodle as media for problem-based learning, and result dissemination. Subjects of this study were students of physic education program of Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education of IKIP Mataram who enrolled in Wave course. Data on critical thinking skills is collected through tests, where tests have been validated by experts. The results of the study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills. Moreover, students gave positive response towards the use of Moodle developed as media in problem-based learning.

Abstract

Assessment is an essential part of learning. The success of a lesson can be known from the results of the assessment carried out both in aspects of the process and product. Some problems related to conventional assessments have to find the right solution. One of them is through the use of computer technology in assessment, which can be used both online and offline in a model better known as e-assessment. The final goal of this research is to produce an e-assessment model that is oriented to the thinking ability of the physics teacher candidates. This research includes development research, using the DDD-E model, namely: decide, design, develop, and evaluate. This article discusses the responses of students and lecturers to the models that have been developed. Respondents gave a positive response to the development of this model. Student responses are at intervals of 86% to 94%, with excellent categories. This model has the opportunity to continue to be developed for evaluation effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Implementasi kurikulum 2013 di berbagai sekolah, khususnya pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kabupaten Sumbawa, belum terdistribusi secara merata. Sebagian sekolah masih menggunakan kurikulum 2006 sebagai acuan rencana pembelajaran. Salah satu aspek penting dalam kurikulum 2013 adalah penggunaan pendekatan scientific (ilmiah) yang meliputi proses mengamati, menanyakan, menalar, mencoba, dan membentuk jejaring. Namun didalam penerapannya, perangkat kurikulum 2013 masih belum dilengkapi dengan lembar kerja scientific yang dapat digunakan oleh siswa untuk mengkonstruksi pengalaman belajarnya secara tertulis menggunakan kaidah-kaidah scientific (ilmiah), meliputi mengamati, bertanya, menyelidiki, menganalisis, dan menyimpulkan. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran inovatif bagi guru di Kabupaten Sumbawa adalah untuk melatih para guru SMP dari berbagai bidang studi agar mampu menyusun rencana pedoman pembelajaran (RPP) menggunakan kurikulum 2013 yang dilengkapi dengan perangkat media lembar kerja scientific dan instrumentasi penilaian digital menggunakan software Test Analysis Program (TAP). Sebelum digunakan dalam pelatihan, perangkat yang telah disediakan terlebih dahulu divalidasi oleh Pakar terkait bidang perangkat yang dikembangkan. Perangkat yang telah direvisi sesuai arahan validator selanjutnya digandakan sebagai perangkat penunjang kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Alas Barat diikuti oleh 40 guru peserta yang berasal dari 5 sekolah di Kecamatan Alas dan Kecamatan Alas Barat, Kabupaten Sumbawa, yaitu SMPN 1 Alas Barat, SMPN 2 Alas Barat, SMPN 3 Alas Barat, SMPN 1 Alas, dan SMPN 2 Alas. Kemajuan pelaksanaan kegiatan hingga laporan ini dibuat telah mencapai 85% mengacu pada proposal yang telah disusun sebelumnya. Harapan dari para guru peserta dan mitra adalah agar kegiatan serupa dapat dilanjutkan pada tahun-tahun mendatang.

Abstract

Kota Mataram merupakan ibu kota Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, memiliki letak yang sangat strategis sebagai pusat pemerintahan, pendidikan, perdagangan, industri, dan jasa. Saat ini, Mataram sedang dikembangkan oleh Pemerintah Daerah setempat untuk menjadi kota pariwisata. Keadaan topografi dan curah hujan yang cukup baik di wilayah ini memberikan potensi ketersediaan air resapan tanah yang memadai untuk dikembangkannya budidaya perikanan darat dan pembenihan beberapa varietas tanaman untuk memperindah tampilan kota. Sembalun merupakan salah satu lingkungan yang berada di Kota Mataram. Salah satu potensi lingkungan yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah ketersediaan air tanah dan curah matahari untuk pengembangan kebun perikanan dan tumbuhan atau botanical garden fishery. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sistem solar cell atau sel surya sangat dimungkinkan untuk dilakukan instalasi hibrid antara perikanan dan pertanian secara berkesinambungan dalam area model. Alur pekerjaan dibagi kedalam tiga bagian besar, yaitu persiapan, pembekalan, dan pelaksanaan. Pada tahap persiapan meliputi: verifikasi mahasiswa peserta KKN-PPM sebanyak 30 orang sesuai prosedur di LPPM IKIP Mataram, sosialisasi program kepada masyarakat, dan survei lokasi instalasi solar cell garden fishery. Pada tahap pembekalan mahasiswa diberikan pemahaman tentang teknik identifikasi potensi lokal, etika komunikasi dan manajemen konflik, wiring diagram atau diagram pengkawatan, ilmu konstruksi dasar, serta strategi penyusunan program dan evaluasi mengacu standar JKEM yaitu 144 jam/mahasiswa. Pembekalan mahasiswa dilaksanakan oleh LPPM IKIP Mataram bermitra dengan pakar dalam bidang terkait. Sedangkan tahap pelaksanaan meliputi: (1) analisa titik lokasi instalasi dengan mengamati potensi air tanah, lintasan curah matahari, dan faktor keamanan atau safety; (2) analisa dan pemilihan biota air dan tanaman yang cocok dengan lingkungan; (3) survei spesifikasi material penunjang konstruksi melalui studi literatur, observasi, dan eksperimen; (4) instalasi solar cell garden fishery, meliputi instalasi sumur bor, instalasi kolam, dan instalasi solar cell; (5) menyusun laporan kegiatan serta publikasi melalui jurnal pengabdian masyarakat Lumbung Inovasi IKIP Mataram. Kegiatan KKN-PPM ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan, sejak tanggal 1 Juni hingga 31 Agustus 2016. Hingga artikel ini ditulis, program KKN-PPM telah tuntas 85%. Tahapan lanjutan yang belum diselesaikan adalah pelepasan ikan dan agenda wisata kuliner produk ikan oleh ibu-ibu PKK di lokasi instalasi solar cell garden fishery.

Abstract

Perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, telah meliburkan kegiatan pembelajaran tatap muka dan meminta dosen untuk melakukan aktivitas belajar dari rumah secara daring. Aturan tentang kewajiban hadir dalam perkuliahan minimal 75 % dan kehadiran memiliki bobot nilai 20%. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan dalam mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan aplikasi tanda tangan digital dan memanfaatkan aplikasi yang dimiliki google yaitu google drive yang dapat difungsikan untuk mengisi kehadiran online. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah ingin membuat presensi yang mudah dan transparan bagi mahasiswa. Jumlah peserta dalam pelatihan adalah 20 mahasiswa pendidikan teknologi informasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan yakni metode diskusi dan metode latihan. Materi yang akan disampaikan, antara lain: a) cara menginstal TTDigital; b) cara mengoprasian TTDigital; c) cara mengisi absen online. Hasil dari pelatihan ini yakni memperlihatkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu membuat TTDigital untuk mengisi presensi online yakni terbukti dengan hasil tanda tangan mahasiswa pada link drive yang saya kirim, apabila terdapat mahasiswa dengan kosong TTDigital berarti mahasiswa tersebut tidak mengikuti perkuliahan. Sehingga, pelatihan ini membantu mahasiswa dalam pengisian kehadiran dan membantu dosen dalam melihat dan merekapitulasi kehadiran mahasiswa. Digital Signature Training in Online Lectures to Reduce Attendance Manipulation Abstract Most universities in Indonesia have closed face-to-face learning activities and asked lecturers to carry out learning activities from home online. The rules regarding the obligation to attend lectures are at least 75% and attendance has a score of 20%. One way that can be done to overcome this is by using a digital signature application and utilizing an application owned by Google, namely Google Drive, which can be used to fill online presence. The purpose of this training is to create an easy and transparent presence for students. The number of participants in the training was 20 students of information technology education. The methods used in the training are the discussion method and the training method. The materials to be delivered include: a) how to install TTDigital; b) how to operate TTDigital; c) how to fill in online timesheet. The results of this training showed that 100% of the students attended the lecture, which was proven by having 16 TTDigital which were filled online and if there were students with blank TTDigital, it meant that the student was not taking the lecture. So, this training helps students in filling in attendance and helps lecturers to see and recapitulate student attendance.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk pelatihan, transfer teknologi, dan penyuluhan tentang pembuatan batako ringan dari limbah pengolahan emas kepada mitra. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang, Mataram. Dalam pengabdian ini siswa dan guru akan: 1) dijelaskan tentang bahaya limbah pengolahan emas serta bagaimana proses penanganannya sehingga menjadi ramah lingkungan; 2) dilatih/praktik bagaimana proses pembuatan batako ringan dari limbah pengolahan emas, sehingga menghasilkan batako ringan; 3) dilatih memvariasikan filler/penguat pada batako ringan dengan menggunakan bahan/material yang selama ini kurang dimanfaatkan sehingga batoko menjadi semakin kuat dan ringan. Luaran dari pengabdian ini yaitu bertambahnya ilmu siswa dan guru tentang pengelolaan limbah dan batako ringan hasil buatan sisw adan guru.Training of Making Lightweight Brick from Traditional Gold Processing Waste in Students of MA Intishor Tanjung KarangAbstractThe purpose of this service is to training, transfer technology, and knowledge about making lightweight brick from gold processing waste to partners. This devotion was carried out at MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang, Mataram. In this service students and teachers will: 1) learn about the dangers of gold processing and how the handling process becomes a friendly environment; 2) lightweight concrete building / processing process from gold processing waste, producing light brick; 3) Frying varies the filler / reinforcement on lightweight brick by using materials that have been underutilized so the brick becomes stronger and lighter. The output of this service is the increasing knowledge of students and teachers about the management of waste and light brick made by students and teachers.

Abstract

Blended learning is basically a combination or mixture found in learning practice. Blended learning is a further development of the e-learning method, namely learning methods that combine e-learning systems with conventional or face-to-face methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the models and learning devices both in terms of content and model constructs, as well as to find out student responses to the model developed. The model developed was validated through a forum mechanism, namely, focus group discussion (FGD) which was followed by researchers and experts. The suggestions and improvements generated from the validation activities were then followed up to revise the Inquiry Collaborative Tutorial-based blended learning model. Inquiry Collaborative Tutorial-based blended learning model and learning devices developed in this study have met valid criteria in content and construct. Valid content because there are elements of need and novelty, as well as valid constructs because there is consistency between parts of the model and there is relevance between the models developed with learning theories that underlie it. In general, the average student responds positively to the blended learning model based on the Inquiry Collaborative Tutorial. The model applied is considered to provide opportunities for students to actively participate.
