Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Knowing the influence of planting distance on the growth and yield of potato crops (Solanum tuberosum L.). 2) Know the effect of the size of seed bulbs on the growth and yield of potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L.). 3) Know the interaction between planting distance and the size of seed bulbs to the growth and yield of potato crops (Solanum tuberosum L.). Hypothesis: 1) Planting distance has a real influence on the growth and yield of potato crops (Solanum tuberosum L.). 2) The size of seed bulbs has a real influence on the growth and yield of potato crops (Solanum tuberosum L.). 3) There is an interaction between the influence of planting distance and the size of seed bulbs on the growth and yield of potato crops (Solanum tuberosum L.).This study uses a Factorial RandomIzed Group Design (RAK) with 2 factors, namely planting distance (J) as much as 4 levels of treatment and the size of seed bulbs (U) as many as 3 levels of treatment with 3 repeats. If the results of the F test show a noticeable effect then the analysis continues Duncan's Multiple Distance Test (DMRT) at a distance of 5%. Conclusion:1) The treatment of planting distance does not affect all observations on potato plants. 2) The treatment of seed bulb size + 30 gr (U3) has the best results, namely on the height parameters of the plant, the number of main stems, the number of branches, the number of bulbs per plant, the number of bulbs per plot, the weight of bulbs per plot, wet brangkasan per plant, wet brangkasan per plot, dry brangkasan per plant, dry brangkasan per plot. 3) The interaction between the treatment of planting distance and the treatment of seed bulb size does not affect all observations on potato plants.Keywords: printed normally, written alphabetically

Abstract

Oyster mushroom is a type of wood fungus that originally grew naturally on tree trunks that had undergone weathering in forest areas. To increase the production of white oyster mushrooms, have to added nutrients from outside in the form of mood boosters as a supporting ingredient for growing media. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is various mood booster: rice washing water, coconut water, and sugar water. The second factor is mood booster dose: 0 ml / baglog, 50 ml / baglog, 100 ml / baglog and 150 ml / baglog. Based on the results, it can be concluded as follows: (1) The treatment of various mood booster rice water has effective in providing the best results on the parameters of the number of hoods and fruit weight, (2) Mood booster dose treatment of 100ml/baglog gave the best effects on the parameters of mycelium fulfillment time, pinhead emergence time, fruit weight, and the number of white oyster mushroom hoods, (3) there was an interaction between the rice water mood booster and the 100 ml/baglog mood booster dose against all parameters. Abstract

Pengelolaan limbah organik, seperti limbah kulit bawang merah dan sisa sayuran, merupakan tantangan yang dihadapi masyarakat Kecamatan Kanigaran, Kota Probolinggo. Pemanfaatan limbah organik menjadi produk bermanfaat, seperti pupuk organik cair (POC) dan bokashi padat, belum optimal akibat rendahnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan Tim Penggerak PKK dalam mengolah limbah organik menjadi pupuk yang ramah lingkungan. Program terdiri atas penyuluhan tentang pentingnya pengelolaan limbah, demonstrasi pembuatan POC dari limbah kulit bawang merah, pembuatan bokashi padat dengan sisa sayuran, serta pengaplikasian pupuk pada tanaman. Sebelum pelatihan, hanya 33% peserta yang memiliki keterampilan dasar dalam pengelolaan limbah, namun angka ini meningkat menjadi 86% setelah pelatihan. Peserta mampu mempraktikkan pembuatan pupuk secara mandiri dan memahami manfaat serta aplikasinya dalam mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta secara signifikan dan tingginya minat untuk menerapkan teknik yang dipelajari dalam skala rumah tangga maupun komunitas. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong terciptanya pertanian berkelanjutan sekaligus mengurangi dampak negatif limbah organik terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diselenggarakan dengan maksud untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan biochar pada tanah dibawah tegakan bambu terhadap peningkatan seraoan unsur hara pada jaringan tanaman sawi. Interaksi antara empat jenis biochar dan dua varietas tanaman sawi dieksplorasi dalam sebuah penelitian yang diselenggarakan di Desa Jrebeng Wetan, Kedopok, pada periode Januari–April 2024. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada ketinggian +7 Mdpl dengan kondisi suhu 26°–32°C dan curah hujan 1800 mm/tahun ini menerapkan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan empat ulangan. Mengacu pada temuan penelitian dapat dinyatakan bahwa pengaruh perlakuan macam biochar dibawah tegakan bambu tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi. Perlakuan macam biochar pada tanah dibawah tegakan bambu memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap akumulasi unsur hara pada jaringan tanaman sawi. Terjadi interaksi antara pemberian macam biochar pada tanah dibawah tegakan bambu dan tanaman sawi terhadap akumulasi unsur hara. Kata kunci: Biochar, Tanah Bawah Tegakan Bambu, Tanaman Sawi.

Abstract

The phenomenon of silver men has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. The direct application of metallic paint to the body and the nature of their activities are major factors contributing to potential lead expsure. Elevated blood lead levels can disrupt hematopoiesis, leading to various blood abnormalities, including the presence of basophilic stippling. Basophilic stippling is a distinctive marker indicative of heavy metal toxicity, particularly lead poisoning. This study aims to examine the correlation between blood lead levels and the presence of basophilic stippling in the blood of silver men in Purbalingga Regency and Purwokerto Sub-district. This study employed an observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of blood specimens from 14 silver men, selected using accidental sampling. Blood samples (3 mL) were collected from the respondents arms into EDTA tubes. Blood lead levels were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS), while basophilic stippling was examined through Giemsa-stained blood smears observed under a microscope. The collected data were analyzed using Pearsons correlation test. The Pearson correlation test yielded a p-value of 0.045 (p 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.542, indicating a strong positive correlation. There is a strong correlation between blood lead levels andthe presence of basophilic stippling in silver men. An increase in blood lead levels is accompanied by the occurrence of basophilic stippling, highlighting the potential toxic effects of lead exposure in this population.

Abstract

Mackerel tuna (Euthynnus affinis) is one of the most popular foods in the community since it is affordable and has complete nutritional content. It is a frozen fish food product so the storage period of which is relatively short. In addition, it is possible to add formalin on which. Formalin is a substance that is prohibited from being used due to its dangerous effects. The content of saponin compounds found in red onions (Allium cepa L) can be used to reduce formalin levels. This study aimed to determine the effect of variations in the soaking time of red onion extract on the formalin level in mackerel tuna and the optimal soaking time for reducing formalin levels. This study used an experimental method with a posttest control group design. The treatment was given by soaking red onion extract at a concentration of 10% in mackerel tuna containing formalin with variations in soaking time of 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours which were tested quantitatively using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. Then, the data were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA statistical parametric test and a post hoc test using Duncan's test (DMRT). The decrease of the formalin levels by soaking the onion extract for 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours was 10.61%, 41%, and 73%, respectively. The result showed that there was an effect of the soaking time of red onion extract on formalin levels (p-value 0.05), and the optimal time of soaking onion extract to reduce the formalin content of the samples was 3 hours.

Abstract

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, tasteless, and odorless gas, but in high concentrations in the blood, it can cause death. One of the CO2 can come from cigarette smoke. When cigarette smoke is inhaled, the affinity of CO with the blood is stronger than for oxygen, and this will increase the carboxyhemoglobin (HbCO) in the blood. Passive smokers who are often near active smokers will inhale cigarette smoke. This study aims to compare HbCO levels in the blood between active and passive smokers of Bulupitu terminal workers, Banyumas Regency. This was an analytical observational study with six active and six passive smokers who are terminal workers. All active and passive smokers samples had HbCO concentrations above the normal HbCO threshold of 3.5%. The measurement results showed the average HbCO level of smokers was 5.87%. Determining differences in HbCO levels in the blood of active and passive smokers was conducted using the Independent Test (p-value = 0.370). This value shows no significant difference in blood HbCO levels in active and passive smokers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui strategi guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial siswa SMP Negeri 21 Makassar. Jenis penelitian merupakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian mengembangkan keterampilan sosial siswa IPS. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Prosedur analisis data, meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa strategi yang digunakan guru untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, meliputi penggunaan Kurikulum 2013, metode pembelajaran (Diskusi Kelompok), pemberian nasihat dan pemahaman, dan penerapan aturan dalam pembelajaran sebagai batasan dalam perilaku siswa. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial siswa, meliputi pengaruh teknologi, kepribadian atau karakter siswa yang bervariasi, dan interaksi keluarga. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi guru untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial siswa telah dilaksanakan dengan baik, namun ada kendala yang membatasi kemampuan sosial siswa untuk melakukannya. Namun, ada solusi yang diterapkan untuk kepentingan menjaga keterampilan sosial siswa yang baik.

Abstract

Asam urat merupakan senyawa kimia hasil akhir dari metabolisme purin dalam tubuh. Wanita mengalami hiperurisemia meningkat pada wanita setelah menopause, karena mengalami penurunan hormon estrogen. Daun sirsak mengandung flavonoid yang bersifat sebagai antioksidan yang dapat mengurangi terbentuknya asam urat. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis pengaruh pemberian air rebusan daun sirsak terhadap kadar asam urat pada wanita usia di atas 45 tahun di Desa Besuki. Penelitian berjenis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pre-experimental design tipe one group pretest – posttest. 14 responden mengkonsumsi air rebusan daun sirsak sebanyak satu gelas sehari selama 2 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan kadar asam urat setelah pemberian air rebusan daun sirsak, dengan rerata kadar asam urat sebelum diberi perlakuan 6,0714±1,06946 mg/dL sedangkan rerata kadar asam urat setelah diberi perlakuan 5,4071±1,36971 mg/dL. Rerata nilai perbedaan kadar asam urat sebelum dan sesudah diberi perlakuan sebesar 0,6429±0,72707 mg/dL.

Abstract

One of the body's organs, the kidney serves a vital purpose in the excretory and secretory systems. Excretion is the removal of waste products from the body's metabolism, and secretion is the release of chemicals and hormones that are involved in the metabolism of the body. Kidney failure is a condition brought on by kidney damage and is further broken down into acute and chronic forms. Long-lasting kidney damage carries a higher risk to one's health. Hemodialysis is a type of dialysis that helps the kidneys perform their normal functions by removing waste and toxic substances that build up in the blood. This study is analytical observational with a cross-sectional design and a sample of patients with chronic kidney failure at RSUD (Regional Public Hospital) dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga. Non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method was the sampling technique used. This study compared the urea levels in patients with chronic kidney failure before and after hemodialysis. According to the results of the study, there is a significant difference between urea levels before and after hemodialysis, which had a p-value of 0.003 (sig 0.05).
