Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the cow’s milk powder to increased serum levels of High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) of white male rat model with diabetes mellitus type 2. The design of this study was a post-test control group study conducted in 30 male rats which randomly divided into five groups. Negative control group was the group of rats which fed normally, the positive control group was induced by streptozotocin (STZ) without given cow’s milk, group P1, P2, P3 were given a normal diet and cow’s milk 0.9; 1.8, and 2.7 g orally every day. The results of this study were the levels of HDL in K(-)=44.22 mg/dl, K(+)=47.45 mg/dl, P1=56.56 mg/dl, P2=51.82 mg/dl, and P3=59.45 mg/dl. The conclusion was the milk powder was not significantly increase levels of HDL (p>0.05). More longer intervention was suggested for further research to get more significant of HDL level on type 2 diabetes mellitus.Keywords: HDL serum level, high fat diet, milk powder, streptozotocinABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh pemberian susu sapi bubuk terhadap peningkatan kadar serum High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) berjenis kelamin jantan model diabetes melitus (DM) tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian post test control group dengan 30 ekor tikus dibagi secara acak menjadi lima kelompok. Kelompok K(-) adalah tikus yang diberi pakan normal, kelompok K(+) diinduksi dengan streptozotocin (STZ) tanpa diberi susu, kelompok P1 sampai P3 diberi diet normal dan susu 0,9; 1,8, dan 2,7 g secara oral setiap hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar HDL pada K(-)=44,22 mg/dl, K(+)=47,45 mg/dl, P1=56,56 mg/dl, P2=51,82 mg/dl, dan P3=59,45 mg/dl. Susu sapi bubuk mampu meningkatkan kadar HDL tikus model DM tipe 2 akan tetapi tidak signifikan (p>0,05). Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut dengan waktu lama penelitian yang berbeda sehingga bisa berdampak yang lebih signifikan untuk kadar HDL pada DM tipe 2.Kata kunci: diet tinggi lemak, kadar HDL serum, streptozotocin, susu sapi bubuk

Abstract

Abstrak Kurangnya alokasi dana di Posyandu Cempaka, Kelurahan Pabuaran, masih menjadi kendala yang belum terselesaikan, khususnya untuk mendukung Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT). Masalah ini mengakibatkan PMT yang disediakan bagi anak-anak kurang bervariasi, baik dari segi jenis makanan serta kandungannya, meskipun variasi makanan bergizi sangat penting untuk mereka. Program ini dirancang sebagai alternatif solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan tujuan agar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kader posyandu dan kemandirian ekonomi posyandu serta memperbaiki kualitas dan variasi PMT yang diberikan, sehingga anak-anak dapat menerima asupan makanan yang lebih bergizi. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan sasaran yaitu 5 Kader Posyandu Cempaka, Kelurahan Pabuaran. Rangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan pada saat pelaksanaan meliputi pembuatan yogurt, pendampingan proses produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, pelatihan menentukan harga pokok penjualan (HPP), serta pembukuan sederhana. Tahap pemantauan dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali, yaitu pemantauan dua kali saat produksi pembuatan yogurt dan satu kali saat penjualan. Hasil kegiatan ini meningkatkan keterampilan kader secara mandiri membuat yogurt tanpa bantuan fasilitator, menghitung harga pokok penjualan, dan menggunakan label kemasan. Berdasarkan hasil monitoring, yogurt tidak diminati oleh konsumen sehingga kader Posyandu Cempaka memilih untuk tidak melanjutkan produksi yogurt.Kata kunci: Ekonomi Kreatif, Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT), Posyandu.

Abstract

Abstrak Desa Rawa Panjang merupakan wilayah dengan pengetahuan yang kurang tentang pentingnya ASI eksklusif, yang berdampak pada tingginya risiko stunting dan gangguan perkembangan bayi. ASI eksklusif adalah pemberian ASI tanpa tambahan makanan atau minuman lain pada bayi usia 0-6 bulan, yang berperan penting untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi optimal bagi tumbuh kembangnya. Kegiatan Pemberdayan Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan kader Posyandu tentang ASI eksklusif melalui edukasi gizi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus dengan melibatkan 22 kader dari Desa Rawa Panjang. Sesi edukasi disampaikan melalui ceramah, didukung media leaflet dan presentasi PowerPoint yang memuat manfaat ASI eksklusif, pentingnya Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD), serta panduan pemberian makan bayi. Sesi tanya jawab melengkapi edukasi, diikuti pre test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan kader posyandu mencapai 13%. Pengetahuan kader mencapai kategori pengetahuan "baik" setelah edukasi. Program ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pemberian ASI eksklusif di Desa Rawa Panjang, membantu menurunkan angka stunting, dan meningkatkan kesehatan bayi.Kata kunci: ASI Eksklusif, Edukasi Gizi, Pengetahuan.

Abstract

Hemoglobin levels are a parameter that measures respiratory pigment in red blood cells. A decrease in hemoglobin levels can lead to anemia. Factors contributing to hemoglobin levels include inadequate nutrient intake, particularly iron and protein, as well as the effect of inhibitors on iron absorption such as calcium. This study aims to assess the intake of energy, protein, iron, and calcium in relation to hemoglobin levels among pregnant women. This research employs a Cross-Sectional study design. The sample consisted of 55 pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data collection on energy, protein, iron, and calcium intake was done using the SQ-FFQ questionnaire, while hemoglobin levels were measured using an Hb meter (EasyTouch GCHb), and data were analyzed using Spearman’s Rank Correlation test. The results showed that pregnant women had adequate energy intake (41.8%), excess protein intake (40%), adequate iron intake (89.1%), and adequate calcium intake (80%). Abnormal hemoglobin levels were observed in the third trimester of pregnancy (16.3%), whereas normal hemoglobin levels were found in the second trimester (34.5%). Statistical tests revealed no significant relationship between energy intake (p = 0.223), protein (p = 0.201), iron (p = 0.327), and calcium (p = 0.641) with hemoglobin levels. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between energy, protein, iron, and calcium intake and hemoglobin levels among pregnant women in Parung Panjang District, Bogor Regency. Pregnant women should regularly consume calcium supplements and iron tablets to meet their iron and calcium needs, which can help prevent anemia.

Abstract

Aloe vera and Rome Beauty apples have antioxidants, one of which is quercetin, to reduce the risk of cancer and inflammation, but they are less popular as functional foods because their flavors are less desirable. This study aims to determine the acceptability and analyze the nutritional content of aloe vera jelly combined with Rome Beauty apples. This study used an experimental design. The panelists used in this study were 30 people who were semi-trained panelists. The results of the hedonic test on color parameters showed there was a significant difference (p<0.05). The results of the Exponential Comparison Method (MPE) showed that A3 agar was the selected formula. The results of the nutritional content of the selected formula (A3) per 80 gram were energy 64 kcal, protein 1.66 g, fat 0.85 g, carbohydrate 12.32 g, water content 64.89 g, and ash content 0.27 g. The results of the quantitative test showed that the IC50 value of selected formula (A3) was 43,440 ppm and quercetin level 1498.4 mg/80g. It can be concluded that the selected formula has the potential to be a healthy snack to reduce cancer if it is supported by the consumption of other foods that are high in antioxidants.Keywords – Agar, Apple, Aloe Vera, Quercetin

Abstract

Children under two years old are a critical period in child development, characterized by rapid growth and development. One nutritional issue, stunting, can arise from inappropriate feeding practices and leads to impaired brain development, intelligence, physical growth, and metabolic function. To address this, we implemented Emotional Demonstration education on baby and child feeding schedules for young mothers. This study aimed to analyze the impact of Emotional Demonstration education on mothers’ knowledge and attitudes regarding toddler feeding practices at Dahlia Posyandu, Pabuaran Village, Bogor Regency. A Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-Test Post-Test design was employed involving 32 young women from the Bojonggede Community Health Center. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results indicate a significant improvement in mothers’ knowledge following Emotional Demonstration education. However, no significant change was observed in their attitudes. In conclusion, Emotional Demonstration education effectively enhances maternal knowledge about baby and child feeding schedules but does not influence their attitudes

Abstract

Stunting adalah gangguan tumbuh kembang yang dialami anak akibat gizi buruk, infeksi berulang, dan stimulasi psikososial yang tidak memadai. Stunting menjadi salah satu tantangan serius di wilayah Puskesmas Bojonggede, Kabupaten Bogor. Stunting bisa disebabkan oleh belum tercukupinya kebutuhan Air Susu Ibu (ASI) dan praktik pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) yang belum tepat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan Ibu Baduta terkait pemberian ASI dan MPASI. Responden yang terlibat adalah ibu yang mempunyai anak dengan usia dibawah dua tahun yang tinggal di Kelurahan Pabuaran, Bojonggede, Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan gizi menggunakan media Emotional Demonstration (EMO-DEMO) yang dikembangkan oleh The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) dengan modul “ASI Saja Cukup” dan ”Jadwal Makan Bayi dan Anak”. Pengetahuan responden didapatkan dari hasil pre-test dan pos-test. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu Baduta sebelum penyuluhan paling banyak adalah kategori cukup sebesar 16 orang (51,6%), kemudian setelah penyuluhan paling banyak menjadi kategori baik yaitu sebanyak 20 orang (64,5%). Setelah dilakukan uji beda menggunakan wilcoxon karena data tidak berdistribusi nomal, didapatkan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000 (p<0,005) yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan.
