Abstract

This study aims to identify community religious traditions and opportunities for radicalization in inland and coastal communities of East Java. The method uses mixed methods and a qualitative model to describe the community’s religious traditions and the potential for radicalization. Meanwhile, data was collected by semi-open interviews with 110 informants, analyzed using a flow model and calculated using descriptive statistics. According to the study’s findings, East Java’s religious practices in both inland and coastal communities are manifested in the traditions of aqīdah, muā‘malah, and worship rituals. Traditions of aqidah are carried out with the understanding ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah that was developed by Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah. Mu‘āmalah (social) tradition is based on the teachings of Kiai, teachers, and parents and is based on local wisdom. Ritual worship follows the understanding of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah, which means performing mah}d}ah worship in a disciplined fashion: prayer, zakat, fasting during Ramadan and performing hajj for those who can afford it. Additionally, the map shows the chance of being radical and moderate in both the inland and coastal communities in East Java; the chance of radicalism is 21.60%, of being uncertain is 13.13%, and of being moderate is 65.28%.

Abstract

The da’wah method uses casual sharing discussions, lectures, inspirational stories, and brainstorming. The YouTube media is packaged with live streaming and live events and posting da'wah content, which contains themes of youth, morals, and relationships for the strawberry generation. The effects on the strawberry generation can be cognitive and affective, but further investigation is needed regarding the behavioral effects of the strawberry generation. In this way, the study can contribute to developing preaching approaches that are always required to be dynamic. Abstract

The problems of people with disabilities are part of the global humanitarian problem. People with disabilities have limitations in social communication with the surrounding environment. The aim of this research is to explain inclusive communication for people with disabilities in creating harmony in social life. The research used a literature review type by reviewing 50 research articles on disability. The research results found that there are three categories of disabilities, namely physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities. Physical disabilities include congenital paralysis, amputation, or similar. Sensory disabilities include blindness, deafness, and inability to speak. Intellectual disabilities include autism or syndrome, depression, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia. These limitations that people with disabilities have give rise to social pressure, inequality and even social discrimination. Inclusive communication plays a role in bridging the gap between people with disabilities and their social environment. Inclusive communication brings equality in social communication and supports the point of view of people with disabilities. Inclusive communication maintains self-openness for people with disabilities with empathy without prejudice, tolerance without intervention, and respect without degrading them.
