Abstract

Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemahaman konsep ips siswa terhadap materi keragaman suku bangsa di kelas IV SD Negeri 136 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data yang dikumpulkan peneliti yaitu observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian melalui observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan pada guru dan siswa dan dokumentasi hasil lembar kerja siswa di SD Negeri 136 Palembang dilihat dari hasil lembar kerja siswa kelas IV  mengenai pemahaman konsep IPS materi keragaman suku bangsa terdapat 3 kategori yaitu sangat baik, baik dan cukup. Dari 26 siswa terdapat 5 siswa termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik 19,23%, 12 siswa termasuk kategori baik 46,15% dan 9 siswa termasuk dalam kategori cukup 34,61%. Dapat diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata tingkat pemahaman konsep IPS sebesar 76,73%. Dengan demikian nilai rata-rata tersebut terdapat pada interval 76-85% yang termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

The pandemic has affected many aspects of our lives including education and that has caused the Government to provide alternative teaching methods and make recommendations for online learning. Since smartphones and laptops using the internet are the only tools for learning, students are increasingly playing online games and being exposed to English vocabulary. This research aimed at identifying and analyzing whether students' participation in online games and vocabulary mastery simultaneously correlate with their learning motivation. This research is a quantitative research with a correlation design. The research was conducted at SMPN I Koba, Central Bangka, Bangka Belitung, with 93 students as respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire with a Likert scale on the online games questionnaire and learning motivation and the Guttman scale on the vocabulary mastery questionnaire. The prerequisite test uses the normality test, homogeneity test, and linearity test. Analysis using correlation analysis of r-Product moment and multiple regression analysis. The research results have shown that there is a correlation between students’ participation in online games and vocabulary mastery simultaneously with learning motivation.

Abstract

The current research aims to determine the significant influence of discovery learning (DL) and reading interest on comprehending students’ text at SMPN 1 Sembawang. This study selected 64 ninth-grade students from SMPN 1 Sembawa as samples using a two-stage random sampling technique. The quantitative factorial design method was applied in this investigation. The data was acquired via a questionnaire and a test: paired Sample t-test, Independent Sample t-test, and Two Ways ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The result showed that the discovery learning method significantly influenced ninth-grade students’ reading comprehension. Second, there was a significant influence of students’ reading interest toward ninth-grade students’ reading comprehension of folktales. Third, the student’s reading comprehension exam substantially impacted the DL and interest in reading. The result suggested that the discovery learning method and reading interest significantly impacted students’ reading comprehension. The study implies that the DLM helped pupils improve their reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of a self-made reading assessment strategy in enhancing the reading comprehension skills and reading interest of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 20 Palembang. The research follows an action research design, with two implementation cycles. In the first cycle, the strategy is integrated into reading instruction, and learning objectives are established. The second cycle focuses on implementing the strategy and guiding students in using self-made assessment tools. The results show a positive impact on students’ reading comprehension achievement, with a significant increase in the percentage of students meeting the passing grade from the first cycle to the second cycle. Additionally, the study reveals a noteworthy improvement in students’ reading interests. The implementation of the self-made reading assessment strategy enhances student engagement, motivation, and enthusiasm for reading. The use of self-made assessment tools encourages students to explore additional reading materials, leading to increased reading interest and knowledge acquisition. These findings contribute to the field of education by highlighting the effectiveness of the self-made reading assessment strategy in improving students’ reading abilities and fostering their interest in reading. The study emphasizes the importance of ongoing reflection and refinement in instructional approaches to sustain and enhance students’ reading skills.

Abstract

The aim in the study is to comprehend and determine how students’ anxiety and ability to use grammar influence their English achievement in the X-grade at three schools in the districts of Semendawai Barat and Cempaka, OKU East regency. For this study, ex post facto design was applied. At SMA N 1 Cempaka, SMA N 2 Semendawai West, and SMA N 1 Semendawai West, this research was carried out. The 96 participants from 3 different schools made up the sample. In this study, several data testing methods were employed, including normality tests, multicollinearity tests, heteroscedasticity tests, linearity tests, autocorrelation tests, correlation studies of the r-product moment, simple regression analyses, and double regression analyses. The findings of this study demonstrated that: 1) grammar proficiency significantly influences English success; 2) The achievement of students in English has been considerably impacted by students’ worry; and 3) Although only by 10.8%, grammatical proficiency and anxiety together have a considerable impact on English learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman dan motivasi untuk belajar siswa kelas 8 Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 36 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Populasi penelitian ini terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas 8 yang berjumlah 327 siswa. Enam puluh empat siswa menjadi sampel, yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai tingkat motivasi belajar siswa, digunakan metode penyebaran kuesioner. Sementara itu, tes pilihan ganda digunakan untuk menguji berbagai aspek membaca dan mengukur kemampuan pemahaman siswa. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode analisis korelasi langsung. Dengan mempertimbangkan estimasi koefisien korelasi pada tingkat signifikansi 5%. Karena r yang diperoleh > r tabel atau 0,576>0,246, maka disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi efektif sebesar 0,576 dan kontribusi yang positif dan substansial sebesar 33,2% antara motivasi belajar dengan kemampuan membaca pemahaman.

Abstract

Despite the benefits technology brings to English learning at school, few teachers were still taking advantage of it. Not only was the iPad was a learning medium with short and medium-term used, it also serves as a device that helps improved student education. The objective of the research is to identify the types of the English teachers attitude towards iPad in teaching and learning processes. However, a descriptive qualitative study was conducted to investigate the attitude of English teachers towards iPad in teaching and learning process at IT Harapan Mulya Junior in Palembang. Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data. Data analysis was processed in the form of reduction data, display data, and conclusion drawing and verification data. The results showed that the English teachers provided 90 utterances consisting of 31 cognitive attitudes, 26 conative attitudes, 24 affective attitudes, and 9 evaluative attitudes. Cognitive attitudes was most often exhibited by the teachers. While the lowest was the evaluative attitude.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini kemampuan berfikir kreatif siswa masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Pembelajaran cooperative script dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Kampung Sawit 6. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode pendekatan Eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sebanya 14 siswa. Sampel yang di ambil dari penelitian ini adalah semua siswa siswi kelas V yang berjumlah 14 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian yang dilakukan tentang penerapan metode pembelajaran Cooperative Script terhadap berbagai materi, khususnya menganalisis dampak kalor terhadap perubahan suhu dan perubahan wujud benda dalam kehidupan sehari-hari terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kampung Sawit 6, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran cooperative script memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Studi ini telah menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata posttest secara signifikan lebih tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan hasil rata-rata pretest, dengan rata-rata hasil akhir pada 72,14 dan hasil awal pada 90.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi permasalahan terkait kurangnya keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran, yangdisebabkan oleh metode pengajaran yang monoton serta keterbatasan dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran.Keberhasilan media pembelajaran, khususnya dalam membangkitkan minat belajar matematika siswa, menjadi tujuanutama penelitian ini. Media yang dikembangkan adalah kartu domino, yang diimplementasikan dengan menggunakanmodel pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Intrumen penelitian yangdigunakan yaitu lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, angket validasi dan angket respon siswa. Penelitian dilakukanterhadap siswa kelas III B SD Negeri 33 Palembang. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kartu domino yangdikembangkan sangat valid dan praktis, dengan nilai kevalidan rata-rata 90,42% dari 6 aspek yang dinilai oleh 3validator, serta hasil uji coba menunjukkan tingkat praktis yang tinggi: 93,88% untuk uji coba one to one dan 91,6%untuk uji coba small group, dengan total keseluruhan uji coba mencapai 92,74%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkanbahwa pengembangan media kartu domino untuk pembelajaran matematika ini efektif dalam aspek validitas danpraktisnya.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the students’ writing skill and their activeness through collaborative writing technique (CWT). The subject were 25 students of phase E at SMA Insan Cendikia Sriwijaya Palembang in academic year 2023/2024. Data collection technique used writing test and observation. This study is classroom action research (CAR) which was conducted into three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages; planning, action, observation and reflection. The result in Cycle I, the average score is 68.08 with the classical achievement 52%. In Cycle II, the average score is 79.44 with the classical achievement 76%. The last, Cycle III has 87.24 average score with 92% as the classical achievement. Those increasement obtained the success criteria of this study. In conclusion, the implementation of CWT could improve the phase E students’ writing skill at SMA Insan Cendikia Sriwijaya Palembang.
