Abstract

The use of organic fertilizers anticipates the negative impact of using inorganic fertilizers on the environment. Research on the use of rice washing water mixed with Trichoderma sp fungus as organic fertilizer to increase the growth of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum) aims to determine the utilization of rice washing water mixed with Trichoderma sp fungus  as organic fertilizer to increase the growth of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum). The study used 4 different concentrations of treatment and as a control only used sterile distilled water. Based on the results of the study that the different treatments gave different results. The control treatment gave the lowest yield on tomato plant growth which included plant height and number of leaves compared to the treatment with rice washing water mixed with Trichoderma sp. The application of rice washing water mixed with Trichoderma sp fungus was proven to increase the growth of tomato plants.

Abstract

This dedication activity was carried out in Pusri Junior High School (SMP Pusri) of Palembang and PGRI Palembang University in May - July 2019. Pusri Junior High School plans to send representatives of its students to participate in the Olimpiade Penelitian Siswa Indonesia (OPSI) in 2019 organized by the Directorate of Junior High School Ministry of Education and Culture Development. But the school experienced problems in terms of research assistance and writing of research results in the form of scientific work / scientific articles. This is due to the lack of equipment owned by schools and the lack of teacher's ability in writing scientific papers. The object of devotion is the Pusri Junior High School students participating in the “Pengembangan Diri (PD)” activities of 3 people (1 group). The mentoring activities are focused on research assistance until data and analysis are obtained as well as writing research results in the form of scientific articles. The dedication activity ended after the creation of scientific papers in accordance with the provisions of OPSI 2019 and Pusri Junior High School student representatives can register to be OPSI 2019 participants. The mentoring process can be completed on time and the Pusri Junior High School student representatives can register as 2019 OPSI participants in August 2019 and the difficulties of the school can be resolved.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat kebisingan yang disebabkan oleh kendaraan bermotor di Jalan Sukarela Kota Palembang Sumatera Selatan dan Membandingkan tingkat kebisingan dengan Nilai Ambang Batas (NAB) kebisingan. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pengukuran langsung di lapangan menggunakan Sound Level Meter. Pengukuran dilakukan pada satu titik yang sama selama tiga hari yaitu pada waktu pagi, siang, dan sore hari. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kebisingan di area ini pada pagi hari yaitu 73,38 dB(A), 74,87 dB(A), dan 69,70 dB(A). Tingkat kebisingan pada siang hari yaitu 69,48 dB(A) 69,16 dB(A), dan 70,78 dB(A). Sedangkan hasil pengukuran pada sore hari yaitu 69,70 dB(A), 69,03 dB(A), dan 70,73 dB(A). Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa lokasi pengukuran tingkat kebisingan di Jalan Sukarela Kota Palembang Sumatera Selatan berada di atas Nilai Ambang Batas Kebisingan (NAB) yang ditetapkan pemerintah sesuai peraturan menteri lingkungan hidup no 48 tahun 1996 yaitu 65 dB(A).

Abstract

Research on the diversity of fish species in Padang River, Sirah Pulau Padang, Ogan Komering Ilir district of South Sumatra province has been conducted from August to September 2017. The research was conducted using field survey method based on the catch of fishermen. The aim of this research is to understand the diversity of fish species found in Padang river. The fish obtained were identified in the Integrated Biology Laboratory of Universitas PGRI Palembang. Identification and classification results of fish species were 20 species, 3 ordo, 11 familia and 17 genus. Keywords : Diversity,  Padang river,  species, fish ABSTRAK Penelitian keanekaragaman spesies  ikan di Sungai Padang kecamatan Sirah Pulau Padang kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir provinsi Sumatera Selatan telah dilakukan  bulan Agustus-September 2017. Abstract

The Tuba Root Toxicity Test (Derris eliptica) study on Tilapia Seed Mortality (Oreochromis sp.) Aims to determine the concentration of tubal root extract causing 50% mortality of test animals (LC50) and mid-time (LT50) mortality of tilapia seeds. The study was conducted in March s.d in May 2017 at the integrated PGRI Zoological Laboratory of Palembang University. Toxicity test using bioassay with 8 hours exposure time. The tested concentrations were 0.26%, 0.34%, 0.44%, 0.57%, 0.74% and 0.95% were applied for 8 hours. The results of the concentration of 1 hour LC50 tube root extract were 0,549%, 2 hours 0,653%, 3 hours 0,437%, 4 hours 0,307%, 5 hours 0,228%, 6 hours 0,142%, 7 hours 0,142% and 8 hours Of 0.142%. Mid-time (LT50) tuba root extract, LT50 0.26% for 4.619 minutes, LT50 0.34% for 4.075 minutes, LT50 0.44% for 2.393 minutes, LT50 0.57% for 1.561 minutes, LT50 0.74 % For 1,102 minutes, and LT50 0.95% did not show the probit results of the SPSS application, since the whole test animal had died. ABSTRAK Penelitian Uji Toksisitas Akar Tuba (Derris eliptica) terhadap Mortalitas Benih Ikan Nila (Oreochromis sp.) bertujuan untuk mengetahui  konsentrasi ekstrak akar tuba yang menyebabkan kematian 50% hewan uji (LC50)  dan waktu tengahan  (LT50) kematian benih ikan nila. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret s.d bulan Mei 2017 bertempat di Laboratorium Zoologi terpadu Universitas PGRI Palembang. Uji toksisitas mengunakan metode bioassay dengan waktu pendedahan selama 8 jam. Konsentrasi yang diujikan 0,26%, 0,34%, 0,44%, 0,57%, 0,74% dan 0,95% yang diaplikasikan selam 8 jam. Hasil konsentrasi ekstrak akar tuba LC50 1 jam sebesar 0,549%, 2 jam 0,653%, 3 jam 0,437%, 4 jam sebesar 0,307%, 5 jam sebesar 0,228%, 6 jam sebesar 0,142%, 7 jam sebesar 0,142% dan 8 jam sebesar 0,142%. Waktu tengahan (LT50) ekstrak akar tuba, yaitu LT50 0,26% selama 4,619 menit, LT50 0,34% selama 4,075 menit, LT50 0,44% selama 2,393 menit, LT50 0,57% selama 1,561 menit, LT50 0,74%  selama 1,102  menit, dan LT50 0,95% tidak menunjukan hasil probit dari aplikasi SPSS, dikarenakan keseluruhan hewan uji telah mengalami kematian. Kata kunci: toksisitas, akar tuba, nila, LC50, LT50.

Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch has been carried out on the types of birds found in the swamp reclamation area of Palembang city. The purpose of the study was to observe and determine the species of birds found in the former swampy swampy area of Jakabaring Palembang. Sampling was carried out from August to September 2020 using a purposive sampling method by exploring modified locations according to Pranotoet al., (2015) and MacKinnon et al., (2010). The collection was carried out by walking along the research area and determining the places frequented by birds. Birds encountered were identified based on morphological and sound characteristics. The results of the study found 7 orders, 15 families and 26 species. Of the 26 species of birds found, there were 19 bush birds and 7 species of swamp birds.Keywords: Birds, Reclamation, Swamp, species, Jakabaring. ABSTRAKTelah dilakukanpenelitianmengenaiJenisburung yang dijumpai pada areal reklamasirawakota Palembang. Abstract

Research on the Order of Diptera on Melon Plant (Cucumis melo L.) was conducted in April - May 2022.”The purpose of the study was to examine the interest of insects in melon plants to various colors in the agrotorism of the Kenten Laut melon garden. This study uses a purposive sampling method, namely by color traps using 4 colors, namely, yellow, green,blue, and red. Observation parameters include the number of insects contained in each trap, color and type of head, mouth apparatus, limbs, antennae, and wings. The results obtained 70 insects fromthe order Diptera. The types of insects found were, Bactrocera dorsalis., Lucilia sp.,”Hermetia illucens, Musca domestica., the insects collected had different morphological types.

Abstract

Ikan konsumsi memiliki harga yang tinggi jika dijual dalam keadaan hidup, namun masalah transportasi menjadi faktor pembatas, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan upaya dalam meminimalkan kematian menggunakan teknik anestesi pada ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih (Plumeria alba L) yang efektif sebagai bahan sedatif alami terhadap benih ikan bawal air tawar (Colossoma macropomum L). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan satu kontrol yaitu P0 (0 mg/L), P1 (4 mg/L), P2 (5 mg/L), P3 (6 mg/L), P4 (7 mg/L) dan P5 (8 mg/L), masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan pengulang sebanyak 3 kali. Data pengamatan meliputi lama pulih sadar ikan, kecepatan pingsan, kelangsungan hidup dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian diperoleh konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih antar perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap lama pulih sadar dan kecepatan pingsan sedangkan konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih antar perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P < 0,05) terhadap kelangsungan hidup benih ikan bawal. Konsentrasi ekstrak bunga kamboja putih yang paling efektif untuk teknik sedatif terhadap benih ikan bawal adalah 8 mg/L dengan keefektifan waktu memingsankan yaitu 11 menit 53 detik, waktu lama pulih sadar yaitu 3 menit 32 detik serta kelangsungan hidup setelah pemeliharaan selama 3 hari mencapai 86,67%.   Consumtion type of fish have a high price when sold alive, but transportation problems are a limiting factor, therefore it is necessary to make efforts to minimize mortality using anesthetic techniques for fish. This study aims to determine the concentration of white frangipani flower (Plumeria alba L) extract which is effective as a natural sedative against freshwater pomfret seeds (Colossoma macropomum L). This study used a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and one control, namely P0 (0 mg / L), P1 (4 mg / L), P2 (5 mg / L), P3 (6 mg / L), P4 (7 mg / L) and P5 (8 mg / L), each treatment was repeated 3 times. Observational data include the length of conscious recovery of fish, fainting speed, survival and water quality. The results obtained the concentration of white frangipani flower extract between treatments had a real effect (P > 0.05) on the length of recovery of consciousness and fainting speed while the concentration of white frangipani flower extract between treatments did not have a real effect (P < 0.05) on the survival of pomfret seeds. The most effective concentration of white frangipani flower extract for sedative techniques against pomfret seeds is 8 mg / L with an effective recovery time of 11 minutes 53 seconds, a long recovery time of consciousness of 3 minutes 32 seconds and survival after maintenance for 3 days reaches 86.67%.

Abstract

Research on the morphology of insects attracted to color traps was carried out in April-June 2023, aiming to study the interest of insects to color and their morphology in red chili plantations, Pedu Village, Jejawi Sub-district, OKI District. This study used a survey method. Sampling by purposive sampling. The color traps used are red, yellow, green and blue. The observation parameter is the number of trapped insect species. Many insects are housed both in the number of species and in the number of individuals of each species. The results of the study found 11 insect species namely, Bactrocera dorsalis, Epilachna sp, Periplanetta americana, Bemisia tabaci, Nezara viridula, Valanga nigriconis, Odontomachus sp., Musca domestica, Agelastica alni, Oxya chinensis, Polistes sp. scattered in red 8 species, yellow 8 species, green 8 species, and blue 1 species. Mouth morphology types include chewing, sucking, piercing-sucking, biting-sucking, and biting-chewing. Head morphology types include hypognathus, prognathus, and opistrorincus types. Antenna morphology types include filiform, clavate, pectinate, aristale, and geniculate types. Wing morphology types include membrane, elytra, halter, and tegmina types. The morphological types of insect violations include cursorial, saltatorial, raptatorial, and natatorial types. 81% of pests, 9% of saprophagus and 9% of pollinators get the role of insects.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Research on the growth patterns and eating habits of bearded fish (Esomus metallicus) in the Ogan River was carried out in April-May 2024. This research aims to study the growth patterns of bearded fish and analyze the types of food of bearded fish that live in the Ogan River, Palembang City. The research uses a survey method. Sampling was carried out at 3 stations. Station I is around water vegetation or is a natural habitat for fish, station II is around residential areas and station III is around a rubber factory. The fish obtained were taken as samples from 5 individuals each from each station. Each fish was measured for total length and weight. The sample was then dissected, the stomach was taken. The contents of the stomach are examined to see the composition of the types of food, and measure the total volume of food eaten and the volume of each type of food to determine the largest type of food (Index of Preponderance). The research results showed that the composition of the jangut fish's food was phytoplankton (44.39%), leaf debris (27.26%), zooplankton (0.26%) and unidentified (28.07%). The growth pattern of beard fish is negative allometric or growth in length is faster than growth in weight. Keywords: Esomus metallicus, Index of Preponderance, allometric
