Abstract

Teh (Camellia sinensis L.) kaya akan senyawa bioaktif polifenol yang didominasi oleh katekin. Hal ini menjadikan teh memiliki manfaat untuk kesehatan diantaranya sebagai antioksidan dan antikolesterol. Teh putih diperoleh dari daun teh yang mengalami proses minimal dan umumnya tidak melalui fermentasi, sehingga teh putih memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan efek penurun kolesterol yang lebih unggul dibandingkan jenis teh lainnya. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengevaluasi aktivitas antioksidan pada sampel teh putih celup merek A, B, dan C berdasarkan parameter IC50 melalui uji DPPH dan aktivitas antikolesterol berdasarkan parameter EC50 melalui pengujian Liebermann - Burchard serta menentukan suhu dan waktu penyeduhan optimal penyeduhan untuk sampel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketiga sampel teh putih celup memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dengan nilai IC50 berkisar antara 75,30 hingga 96,50 ppm serta aktivitas antikolesterol dengan nilai EC50 antara 110,49 hingga 123,40 ppm.  Sampel teh celup merek A yang diseduh pada suhu 95℃ selama 9 menit menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan dan antikolesterol tertinggi dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 75,30 ± 1,86 ppm dibandingkan terhadap IC50 baku kuersetin 4,02 ppm dan EC50 sebesar 110,49 ± 0,66 ppm. Analisis statistik repeated ANOVA menunjukkan nilai p.Sig<0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan variasi suhu penyeduhan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap aktivitas antioksidan dan antikolesterol. Suhu penyeduhan optimum adalah pada suhu 95℃ selama 9 menit..

Abstract

Gingivitis is an oral health disease characterized by inflammation of the gingival tissue that appears reddish. One way to prevent and treat gingivitis is to use mouthwash. Green tea herbal mouthwash is used to treat gingivitis. Green tea is known to have antimicrobial activity that causes gingivitis. The increase in public knowledge about green tea mouthwash increased by 41%. This shows public understanding of the benefits of green tea mouthwash for preventing gingivitis and the economic value of green tea herbal mouthwash products.

Abstract

Penyebaran rumput laut di Indonesia berada hampir diseluruh penjuru tanah air, namun produksi dan perdagangan rumput laut Indonesia sampai saat ini didominasi oleh genus Gracilaria dari kelas Rhodopyceae sebagai penghasil agar. Beberapa penelitian telah dilakukan dan menunjukan aktivitas dari Gracilaria. Tujuan review artikel ini adalah memberikan informasi tentang aktivitas farmakologi genus Gracilaria, dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur dari beberapa penelitian mengenai aktivitas dari Gracilaria. Beberapa spesies dari genus ini, berpotensi untuk aktivitas antioksidan, antibakteri, terapi adjuvans pada penyakit peridontal, antidiabetes, antiobesitas, antikolesterol, antiosteoklas, hepatoprotektor, antikanker, homeostatis, antikoagulan, antiulcer, dan imunostimulan.

Abstract

Three types of doping drugs, morphine, heroin, and codeine were analyzed qualitatively in urine using GCMS: HP5MS column containing a nonpolar substance, phenylmethyl siloxane, with a temperature range of 90-250ºC and a rate of increase of 10ºC/minute. Diethyl ether was used to extract morphine, codeine, and heroin. The extractions were performed at pH 8, the organic phase was evaporated, followed by derivatization. Morphine and its derivatives were treated with a solution of N-methyl-N-trimethylsilyl-trifluoroacetamide and N-methyl-bis-trifluoroacetamide. The results of the gas chromatographic analysis showed that the retention times of morphine, heroin, and codeine the retention times were 8.01, 7.32, 6.21 minutes, while those of their derivatives were 8.10, 8.10, 7.95 minutes respectively. The identification of each drug using mass spectrometry revealed that their mass spectra were identical to the standard. The mass spectra of the derivatives: morphine-TMS and codeine-TMS showed a resemblance index of 93% respectively compound to the standard, with a detection limit of 2 ug/ml.

Abstract

Fulfilling nutritional intake can be done by utilizing TOGA plants. TOGA plants have high nutritional content to support the fulfillment of daily nutritional needs. The aim of community service related to TOGA plants is to increase community understanding and access to nutritional sources needed to prevent high levels of malnutrition. The method used is Participatory Action and Learning and evaluated using pre-test and post-test methods. There was an increase in knowledge scores at the end of the training, namely an average of 15.8 points. The variation in knowledge scores on the pre-test tends to be higher than on the post-test, this shows that there is a similar perception of understanding of the material at the end of the training.

Abstract

Green tea contains polyphenol and flavonoid compounds which have many benefits such as antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. Even though it is known that tea has various benefits, the level of public knowledge regarding this is still low. So this training aims to increase public awareness about the benefits of green tea. The training and evaluation methods used were post-test and pre-test by providing training on making and using green tea herbal drinks. Based on the results of the training, there was an increase in public knowledge of 15% after the training, which shows the effectiveness of training as an effective tool in increasing public understanding and knowledge regarding the benefits of green tea herbal drinks.

Abstract

Amphetamines and ephedrine are stimulant class doping drugs which have the effect of reducing fatigue and drowsiness, increasing alertness, physical strength, mental sense of competition and competitive attitude. Analysis of doping drugs in urine that has been recommended by the International Olympic Committee, including Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry. Derivatization is carried out to change the polarity of the analyte, making it easier to become a gas and stable to heating. This study was conducted for qualitative analysis of amphetamine and ephedrine, using an HP5MS column containing non-polar phenyl methyl siloxane, temperature 100-250oC with a temperature increase of 10oC/minute. Then it was extracted with a mixture of diethyl ether-ethylacetate (1:1) in an alkaline medium pH 8, the organic layer was evaporated then derivatized with trifluoro-acetic acid-anhydride and ephedrine with acetic-anhydride-pyridine (3:2). The final results showed that the retention times of amphetamine and ephedrine were 10.47 and 4.9 minutes. While the derivatives are 13.34 and 5.50 minutes. Identification using mass spectrometry for each compound showed that the mass spectra matched the Ref. and the amphetamine and ephedrine structural similarity index was 96% and the detection limit for each compound was 2 ug/ml.

Abstract

Kesehatan dan kebersihan lingkungan desa sangat bergantung pada peran pemimpin desa dalam mengedukasi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan oleh Generasi Muda Forum Komunikasi Dosen (GM FKD) pada 20 Maret 2025 di salah satu desa di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman pemimpin desa melalui seminar edukasi tentang pengelolaan sampah, sanitasi, dan kesehatan lingkungan. Seminar dilakukan dengan metode ceramah interaktif dan diskusi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta antusias dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan. Diskusi mengungkapkan berbagai tantangan di desa, seperti minimnya fasilitas pengelolaan sampah, maraknya Tempat Pembuangan Sementara (TPS) yang Tidak Teratur dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga lingkungan. Melalui seminar ini peserta memperoleh solusi praktis, seperti sosialisasi kebersihan dan program berbasis komunitas. Umpan balik dari peserta menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mengenai peran mereka dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Mayoritas peserta menyatakan kesiapan untuk menerapkan ilmu yang diperoleh dalam kebijakan desa dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Diharapkan pemimpin desa dapat lebih aktif dalam mendorong perilaku hidup bersih dan menciptakan lingkungan desa yang lebih sehat dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an infectious disease caused by Salmonella typhi, commonly treated with antibiotics to promote recovery and prevent complications. This study aimed to evaluate both the therapeutic effectiveness (clinical outcomes such as fever resolution and hospital stay duration) and the cost-effectiveness (economic efficiency of antibiotic use) in inpatients with typhoid fever at RSUD Bayu Asih Purwakarta (Bayu Asih District Hospital, Purwakarta) in 2023. A retrospective descriptive design was applied using 75 medical records from January to December 2023. Results showed that levofloxacin had the highest therapeutic effectiveness, reflected by the shortest hospitalization (3.5 days), whereas ceftriaxone was the most cost-effective, with an Average Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) of Rp. 194,858.78 per treatment. The Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ICER) analysis indicated that the additional cost required for levofloxacin compared to ceftriaxone was disproportionate to the clinical benefit gained. In conclusion, while levofloxacin provides faster recovery, ceftriaxone remains the preferred option considering its superior cost-effectiveness. These findings emphasize the need to balance clinical outcomes and economic efficiency when determining antibiotic policies for typhoid management.
