Abstract

Latar Belakang: Dismenore yang dikeluhkan pada remaja putri (10 – 13 tahun) saat menstruasi memiliki frekuensi yang cukup tinggi. Pengobatan untuk mengurangi dismenore dapat melalui medis dengan obat/ farmakologis maupun non farmakologis. Teknik nafas dalam merupakan terapi non farmakologis berupa relaksasi untuk mengurangi nyeri. Tujuan: Mengetahui penerapan teknik nafas dalam untuk menurunkan nyeri dismenorea remaja putri (10 – 13 tahun) dan mengetahui skala nyeri sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan teknik nafas dalam. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Responden berjumlah 5 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga Mei 2018. Hasil: Setelah dilakukan teknik nafas dalam terjadi penurunan nyeri yang semua partisipan mengalami nyeri sedang. Kemudian secara bertahap menurun ke skala tanpa rasa sakit dalam dua hari, namun peserta pertama masih memiliki skala nyeri ringan. Kesimpulan: Teknik nafas dalam dapat mengurangi nyeri dismenore pada remaja putri usia 10 – 13 tahun.

Abstract

The aim of this article is describing the translation quality of English noun phrasestranslated into Indonesian. The data of this descriptive qualitative study are phrases,clauses, and sentences containing of noun phrases found in English scientific and fictiontexts translated into Indonesian. The data were analyzed by applying translation theoriesproposed by Nababan (2012) and Lauscher (2000). Based on the analyzed data, there arethree elements of translation quality show accurate, acceptable, and readable. Allvariation of English noun phrase patterns translated into Indonsian have same meaningto the message of the source language. They are acceptable and easy to understand withoutreading the entire translation more than one. Therefore, the translation of noun phrasesare readable for ideal readers of the translated texts. The result of this study can beapplied in teaching learning process of translation subject, theory, practice, and evaluationin translation.

Abstract

This article aims at classifying translation shifts of English verb phrase into Indonesian and describing the application of the translation shift in translation teaching. The data are in the forms phrases, clauses, and sentences containing verb phrases and their Indonesian transalation. The data were collected using content analysis, questionnaire, and interview. They were analyzed using Catford theory of translation shifts. The first result indicates that there are three translation shifts. They are structure shift, rank or level shift, and intra-system shift. Second finding shows that there are thirteen steps in translation teaching. Most procedures in teaching translation activated students as the approaches used were project-based learning and students centered learning. The process of teaching and learning by applying research results and doing directly as found in the examples makes it easier for students to understand the material provided.

Abstract

The study discusses the turn taking made by lecturers and students during the online learning process. This study aims to find turn taking variations through online learning in university classroom sessions in the midst Covid-19 break. The research data are series of speeches in online learning in university classroom sessions collected from three different lectures session discourses produced by lecturers and students through Zoom and Google Meet. Data collection were done by using record and note taking techniques. Data were analyzed by applying the theory of turn taking rules of Sacks, Schegloff, & Jefferson's theory (1978). The results show that the variations of turn taking as in the online session as the application of rule 1 are dominated on the speaker teacher’s combining opinion or questions by confirming. In the meantime, the application of rule 3 is dominated on the speaker teacher’s self-repair. The use of teacher’s opinions and self- repair is implied to give a help to students for comprehending the online course.

Abstract

The This study explores the effectiveness of utilizing ChatGPT for enhancing students' translation skills from Indonesian to English, focusing on seven key factors. Firstly, ChatGPT's accuracy and language proficiency enable students to produce translations with precision and grammatical correctness, facilitating language comprehension. Secondly, the provision of instant feedback and correction by ChatGPT fosters a more efficient learning process, prompting students to recognize and rectify errors promptly. Additionally, the accessibility and convenience of ChatGPT empower students to access translation assistance anytime and anywhere, promoting independent learning. Moreover, ChatGPT's customization and adaptability cater to students' diverse needs and preferences, enhancing engagement and motivation. Furthermore, the engagement and motivation fostered by ChatGPT contribute significantly to students' learning outcomes, making the learning experience more enjoyable and rewarding. Continuously, the role of ChatGPT in providing supplementary learning tools is essential for students' continuous improvement in translation skills, facilitating regular practice and refinement. Overall, integrating ChatGPT into language learning environments empowers students to develop their translation skills effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This study covers the pragmatics equivalence and violation maxims in the Divergent novel. Classifying the forms of Grice maxim violations and describing the pragmatic equivalence of violation maxims in the Divergent novel are the objectives of this study. It is a qualitative paper that examines violation maxims and pragmatic equivalence in the novel Divergent. The data were direct-utterances infraction maxims in English and Indonesian. There are two types of data analysis techniques employed in this study. The analysis began with a document review, followed by an evaluation of the translation's quality based on pragmatic equivalence. As a result of the research, the following findings were discovered: 139 data were classified as violation maxims. The majority of the results (45,32.4%) involved violations of the quality standard. Second, based on the qualitative parameter of pragmatic equivalence, a total of 137 out of 139 data points were deemed "accurate translation" and  two out of 139 (1,43%) data might be regarded as "less accurate translation." This investigation uncovered no translations that may be deemed inaccurate.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is pain during or before the start of menstruation. The incidence of dysminorrhea in adolescents in Central Java by 2015 is estimated to be 12% to 35% of teenagers, while in Kendal regency as many as 11,565 people (29.8%). Methods of hot and cold water compress ispart of the non-pharmacological methods that are effective, easy, and cheap to overcome dysmenorrheal pain. The purpose of this research was to know the difference of warm water compress and cold water compress to decrease pain intensity of adolescent girl with dysmenorrhea in MAN Kendal. This research usei Quasi Experimental design with Pretest-Posttest design, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study is 17 people in each treatment group whith was collected with the reasareh uset questeonnare bowbonais as researeh instrument pair schale.the consecutive sampling. Data analysis used Wilcoxonand Man Withn. The results showed that there was a difference in pain intensity before and after being given warm water compresses in adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea in MAN Kendal (p value 0.000 <0.05). There was a difference in pain intensity before and after being given cold water compresses on adolescent girls with dysmenorrhea at MAN Kendal (p value 0.000 <0.05). Warm water compresses are more effective at reducing the intensity of pain than cold water compresses in adolescent girl with dysmenorrhea at MAN Kendal. It is expected that adolescent girls who experience dysmenorrhea can use warm compress cold water compress therapy independently when experiencing dysmenorrhea pain that can reduce the consumption of painkillers.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the developing countries in the world. What is often encountered in a developing country is a very large population. Family planning is an effort made by humans to intentionally regulate pregnancy in the family not against the law and Pancasila morals for family welfare. Through the family planning program there will be control over population growth so as to increase the level of health and welfare for families.This study aims to determine the effect of counseling using Balanced Family Planning Counseling Strategies (SKB KB) on the mother's behavior (knowledge, attitude and motivation of the mother) in choosing contraception.The type and research design used in this study was a pre-experimental study with a non-equivalent pretest and posttest one group design. The population in this study were all women of childbearing age aged 15-49 years at the Kuala Keritang Assistant Health Center. The sample size in this study used the Lameshow formula as many as 42 respondents at the Kuala Keritang Assistant Health Center, the sampling technique used in this study was Accidental Sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and data processing using the SPSS program. Data analysis in this study was univariate and bivariate analysis using the paired t test statistical test. The results showed that there was an effect of counseling using Balanced Family Planning Counseling Strategy (SKB KB) on mother's knowledge (p = 0.000), mother's attitude (p = 0.000), and mother's motivation (p = 0.000) in choosing contraception.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards the incidence of anemia in young women at SMK PGRI 2 Jambi City. This research is a quantitative study with a retrospective approach. The population in this study were young women at SMK PGRI 2 Jambi City in 2024 totaling 201 female students and a sample of 67 female students. The data collection technique used random sampling with data analysis using the chi-square test. The results of the study showed that there was no relationship between adolescent knowledge and attitudes and the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMK PGRI 2 Jambi City.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge, education and maternal age with the provision of complete basic immunization to babies aged 0-12 months at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) Hj. Rusmala Aini. This census research used quantitative methods with univariate and bivariate analysis. The participants in this research were mothers who visited PMB Hj Rusmala Aini, which included 40 babies. The results of this study reveal that there is a relationship between the level of education and the mother's age and the provision of complete basic immunization to babies aged 0-12 months at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) Hj. Rusmala Aini, but there is no relationship between mothers' knowledge of providing complete basic immunization to babies aged 0-12 months.
