Abstract

This study aims to analyze the accessibility of higher education for women as a means of career development, among students at the Kartini Open University Service Center (SALUT) in Rembang. This research is in line with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically goal 4 on quality education and goal 5 on gender equality, which emphasize the importance of learning opportunities for all without exception. The approach used is a qualitative case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively through the process of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that a flexible learning system provides opportunities for women to continue their studies without neglecting family or work responsibilities. Internal factors such as motivation, awareness of the importance of education, self-confidence, and aspirations are the main drivers. Meanwhile, external factors such as family support, social environment, education policies, and workneeds also strengthen access to higher education. The results of this study are expected to be an academic and practical contribution in understanding and strengthening the role of higher education as a means of emancipation, career development, and empowerment of women through more inclusive and equitable access.

Abstract

It becomes a dilemma when on the one hand to meet market needs, people massively utilize the environment and on the other hand it causes damage, especially in agriculture. There needs to be an appropriate problem approach to overcome this. The purpose of this research is to develop a strategy model for implementing integrated organic farming based on circular agriculture. This research uses quantitative methods with sequential exploratory design. This design begins with quantitative research first, then qualitative with the aim of completing the discussion with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis. The economic dimension has the greatest weight with a value of 0.381. This indicates that in realizing organic farming integrated with Circular Economy, the first thing that needs to be focused on is the economic dimension by making production cost efficiency (Rank 1; GW 0.118).

Abstract

This study applies Social Exchange Theory to analyze the mediating role of Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) in the relationship between Transformational Leadership (TL) and Organizational Climate (OC) on Employee Performance (EP) in the public sector of air transportation. The study involved 90 ASN respondents, consisting of 73 civil servants (PNS) and 17 government employees with employment agreements (PPPK), using a census technique. Data were collected through an online questionnaire based on a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using SEM-PLS (SmartPLS 3.2.9). The results showed that TL and OC had a positive and significant effect on EP. Furthermore, OCB was found to act as a partial mediator, strengthening the direct influence of TL and OC on EP. These findings suggest that inspirational leadership and a supportive organizational climate can foster extra-role behaviors such as initiative, voluntarism, and helping attitudes, which ultimately enhance individual performance and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in determining organizational success, particularly in public sector institutions that face high service demands and strict operational standards. This study aims to analyze the effect of workload, motivation, and compensation on employee performance at the Airport Authority Office Region IX Manokwari. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population of this study consisted of all 94 employees of the Airport Authority Office Region IX Manokwari; therefore, a saturated sampling technique was applied. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as does compensation, which also emerges as the most dominant variable influencing performance. Meanwhile, motivation shows a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.665 indicates that workload, motivation, and compensation simultaneously explain 66.5% of the variance in employee performance, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings suggest that improving employee performance at the Airport Authority Office Region IX Manokwari is more effectively achieved through proportional workload management and the implementation of a fair, performance-based compensation system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between macroeconomic variables and income inequality in six ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Cambodia) over the period 2007–2023. A quantitative approach was employed using static panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) to examine the effects of exports, imports, inflation, and population on income inequality, as measured by the Gini Index. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the overall model is significant (F-statistic); however, partially based on individual t-statistics, only the population variable shows a significant and negative effect. This finding suggests that population growth tends to reduce income inequality in the ASEAN region, likely driven by the demographic dividend, emphasizing the crucial role of demographic factors in fostering equitable economic development. Meanwhile, exports, imports, and inflation have no significant effects, implying that there is no statistically significant evidence that trade-driven growth affects income inequality in this model. Overall, the study highlights the importance of demographic-based economic policies focusing on equitable access to education, employment, and welfare to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth across ASEAN countries.
