Abstract

MSMEs play an important role in the national economy, they face significant challenges in the era of digitalization and rapidly changing environmental dynamics. The role of entrepreneurial orientation in MSMEs is very important to encourage business actors to have good business performance. However, previous studies have found inconsistent results in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance. This phenomenon creates a research gap, so researchers try to overcome this inconsistency by using the social media adoption variable as a mediating variable. This study aims to test the mediating role of social media adoption and the moderating effect of environmental competitiveness and environmental dynamism in the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial marketing on business performance in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Data analysis was carried out using quantitative methods and sampling techniques using the purposive sampling method processed using SEM-PLS on 200 MSMEs in Indonesia. The research findings show that entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial marketing have a positive and significant effect on MSME business performance. Furthermore, mediation of social media adoption contributes to increasing marketing effectiveness, thereby strengthening business performance. It was also found that environmental dynamism moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance, while environmental competitiveness has no significant impact on MSME business performance. This study provides practical implications that MSMEs need to be more proactive in adopting social media, utilizing it for brainstorming ideas, seeking information, and developing creative, adaptive entrepreneurial strategies, to be able to increase MSME competitiveness in a changing environment and market, so that they can maintain, even improve their business performance.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of service trust on fintech use through value congruence as a mediating variable. Writers use women as a sample because women make more purchasing decisions than men. The research method used is the survey method by sending questionnaires to respondents. This study found that women with high service trust will be more encouraged to use fintech. Quality, effective, and efficient fintech will mediate the effect of service trust on fintech use. Writers also found that women who already believe in fintech will immediately be able to increase the use of fintech without mediating value congruence. However, to increase the use of fintech, this study found that it could be done through value congruence. Thus, value congruence has an essential role in increas- ing the use of fintech. Keywords: value congruence, service trust, fintech use, fintech, woman

Abstract

Studies on individual entrepreneurial orientation as well as the relationship between innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking have not received much attention in the entrepreneurship literature. Therefore, this study aims to explore the relationship between the components of individual entrepreneurial orientation and examine the relationship between entrepreneurship education, individual entrepreneurial orientation, and entrepreneurial intention. The model developed was tested on 231 management and business students who have completed an entrepreneurship education program in the university. The data obtained were processed using PLS-SEM statistical programming to evaluate the outer and inner structure of the model. This study indicates that most of the arguments of the model compilers as explicitly observed in determining the effect of proactiveness on innovation have been confirmed. At the same time, risk-taking was discovered not to affect personal innovativeness. Entrepreneurship education was also proven to have affected individual entrepreneurial orientation, while only innovativeness and risk-taking were confirmed to have the ability to increase entrepreneurial intention. The findings succeeded in filling the void related to the study on the relationship dynamics between the dimensions forming individual entrepreneurial orientation. They also comprehensively complement the study model designed in the scope of individual entrepreneurial orientation, which was partially completed. Therefore, the results are expected to provide direction for educators and scholars in the area of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Studies on SME new product development utilizing the design thinking methodology during the pandemic have received little attention from academics. This study aims to examine how a firm's new product and performance are impacted by the design thinking process. The study was carried out at the height of Covid-19's market dominance. Data was gathered using an online survey of 187 SMEs from diverse industries located throughout Indonesia. Purposeful sampling is conducted to find the chosen companies, particularly those that have altered their business model or added new products. The data is then analyzed and modelled using SEM-PLS to determine how the concepts connect. This study discovered that SMEs can still use the design thinking method to assist them in coping with the effects of the pandemic. It has also been demonstrated that market volatility makes the design thinking method less effective. The study highlights the significance of a firm's absorptive capacity for fostering the design-thinking process. The results of this study demonstrate how design thinking helps a business succeed during a period of significant changes in customer behavior, bridging a knowledge gap. The study's conclusions might help SMEs modify their business practices during and after the pandemic.

Abstract

Green innovation (GI) is often perceived as unnecessary for companies, while the amount of packaging waste with the potential to pollute the environment continues to increase significantly. Without extraordinary action, this will lead to contamination of ecosystems and a threat to human health. Therefore, this research aimed to explore the role of green collaboration (GC) in enhancing innovation and improving company performance (CP), with a particular emphasis on how the synergy of innovation and collaboration serves as a dimension of entrepreneurial marketing (EM). A quantitative method was used through a survey of 120 division heads and company owners in Indonesia. Moreover, data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Model (SEM) method with Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The results showed that both green innovation and green collaboration had a positive impact on company performance. However, green collaboration did not demonstrate a statistically significant moderating effect. This suggests that companies need to consider other strategic alliances to maximize the synergy between green innovation and green collaboration. The results can serve as a guide for companies in designing effective innovation and collaboration strategies to achieve sustainability and competitive advantage. However, a key limitation is that the strategy may not be applicable in another industry.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education has more varied teaching methods than other teaching methods in education. One of the most commonly used teaching methods is experiential- based learning. Through this method, students experience entrepreneurship education through their experience of establishing real business projects. One important aspect of this method is the target given to students. Target is one of the most frequently used aspects of management control mechanism, especially performance measurement. This study aims to investigate in-depth how students as businessmen interpret target charged to them. Qualitative approach with descriptive phenomenology method is used in this study. Interview is used as the primary data collection method. This study found that target is interpreted in such a way by the students. In this study, it is found that target is positively interpreted by students, but there are some students interpret target negatively. There is one key that arises in the interpretation; target is the key to the success of the business project run by students because target can increase student's motivation in running business project.
