Abstract

The research objective is to determine the role of public relations PT. Telkomunikasi Indonesia regarding efforts to deal with Indihome service disruptions. This study uses a post-positivism paradigm with a qualitative approach, and the type of research is descriptive. The results of the study show that they always respond to any complaints reported by customers about indihome services and utilize public relations strategies by applying the Morrisan and CRM concepts from De Wulf Gaby. Through this application it can be seen that the strategy formed by public relations, namely: Planning with the formulation of the main program, namely maximizing internal & external publications; Actuating in its implementation, public relations is assisted by other units according to their fields, so that problems can be resolved quickly and accurately; Controlling, namely supervising programs that are carried out properly so that they are according to plan; Evaluating by calculating the performance of the achievement of program implementation, namely OKR (Objective & Key Result). The conclusion of the research is that the public relations role of PT Telkomunikasi Indonesia has been going well. Keywords: PT. Abstract

Social media provides almost unlimited connection opportunities. Organizational public relations place social media as a platform for carrying out public communication and strategic communication. Determining how to approach and forge relationship between the institution and the community is a strategic communication that the organization needs to put forward. Perum Peruri as the Money Printing Public Company of the Republic of Indonesia manages Instagram social media as part of the effort to communicate with the public. This study aims to see and describe how is Peruri's public relations strategy to utilize Instagram as a means of communication with the public. This research focuses on activities carried out in digital media; characteristics of digital media use; and strategic planning for communicating with the public. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. The research took place for three months from October to December 2021. Data of the research was collected through an interview with Yahdi Lil Ihsan as the Secretariat, Protocol and Corporate Communication Bureau of Peruri, and observations through social media monitoring. The results of the study show that the Management of Instagram social media by Peruri aims to build an image as digital security with guaranteed product authenticity and safety.  Peruri's PR uses social media as its strategy for communicating with the public. The strategy comprises five stages including mapping the institution's image in the eyes of the public, conducting editorial planning, collecting data to create content, distributing content through Instagram social media, and evaluating (monitoring).

Abstract

Era pandemi memberikan banyak perubahan dan penyesuaian baru dalam berbagai lini, termasuk pada strategi Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) bagi industri pendidikan. Awalnya PPDB selalu dilakukan secara offline dan berinteraksi langsung dengan para calon siswa serta orang tua murid sebagai calon stakeholder dalam industri sekolah. Namun, kondisi pembatasan aktvitas membuat para pelaku industri pendidikan perlu melakukan sebuah inovasi baru dalam menarik minat para stakeholder nya terhadap institusi. Strategi digital marketing menjadi solusi yang tepat untuk dapat berinteraksi dan menjangkau para calon stakeholder. Namun, peserta sasar, masih belum dapat optimal dalam melakukan strategi digital marketing. Untuk itu program pelatihan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya dalam membantu meningkatkan kemampuan strategi digital merketing pada industri pendidikan agar dapat mengoptimalkan kegiatan PPDB. Program ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan materi dan praktek langsung agar dapat mudah memberikan pemahan dan pengaplikasiannya. Hasil yang di peroleh dari program ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman pada peserta sasar tentang digital marketing, bentuk aplikasi langsung dari program digital marketing dalam industri pendidikan.

Abstract

Media sosial memiliki peran penting dalam memperkenalkan dan mempromosikan produk kepada konsumen, khususnya bagi kelompok usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Keunikan media sosial memungkinkan penyebaran informasi secara luas kepada calon konsumen. Namun, banyak pelaku UMKM yang belum mampu mengelola media sosial dengan baik dalam era masyarakat modern saat ini. Salah satu kendalanya adalah kurangnya pemahaman dalam merancang strategi pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai alat pemasaran digital. Jika dimanfaatkan dengan optimal, media sosial dapat membangun hubungan yang kuat antara perusahaan dan audiensnya. Selain membuat konten dan menyebarkannya, pengelola media sosial perlu memiliki perencanaan strategis yang konsisten dan berkelanjutan. Sebagai solusi atas masalah ini, diperlukan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai media sosial sebagai alat komunikasi antara penjual dan pembeli. Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil, Menengah, Perdagangan, dan Perindustrian, terutama pada Bidang UMKM Kabupaten Sumedang, memiliki tanggung jawab dalam menyelenggarakan fasilitas peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia UMKM dan kelompok usaha produktif. Dalam rangka mendukung hal ini, tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Telkom secara rutin memberikan pendampingan. Pelatihan ini ditujukan kepada pelaku UMKM di Kabupaten Sumedang agar mereka dapat mengenal dengan lebih baik keunggulan masing-masing media sosial yang ada. Dengan demikian, mitra dapat memilih strategi pemasaran yang tepat, mengoptimalkan fitur media sosial, dan mengatasi masalah komunikasi pemasaran dengan biaya yang terjangkau. Dengan adanya pendampingan ini, diharapkan penggunaan media sosial tidak hanya menjadi tren semata, tetapi menjadi bagian dari strategi terencana untuk meningkatkan kualitas UMKM di Indonesia.

Abstract

Kemarahan merupakan emosi negatif yang dimiliki manusia. Kemarahan timbul karena perlakuan atau tindakan buruk yang orang lain lakukan kepada seseorang. Kemarahan digambarkan dalam film dengan representasi yang berbeda-beda.Salah satu film yang merepresentasikan kemarahan yaitu The Foreigner. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat tahap kemarahan pada tokoh Minh Quan di film The Foreigner. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan paradigma konstruktivisme, dengan metode analisis isi Segitiga Makna oleh Semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce (sign, object, interpretant) dan teori yang digunakan adalah teori Konstruksi Realitas Sosial di media massa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemarahan yang di representasikan dalam Film The Foreigner pada tokoh Minh Quan merupakan contoh kemarahan yang tidak terkontrol dengan baik. Kemarahan tersebut dilampiaskan kepada orang yang telah menyakitinya melalui cara bicara, gesture tubuh, hingga melakukan tindakan agresi berupa pesan ancaman, terror bomb dan membunuh.

Abstract

Citra Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri) di tengah masyarakat seringkali dianggap belum maksimal dan tidak profesional. Polisi yang biasanya digambarkan sebagai sosok profesi tidak profesional dan kerjaannya hanya menilang, film pendek Joni Sok Jagoan menggambarkan citra polisi dari sudut pandang berbeda. Pemaknaan pesan tentang citra polisi yang digambarkan dalam film pendek itulah yang menjadi fokus pada penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana citra polisi yang ditampilkan oleh film pendek Joni Sok Jagoan melalui tanda-tanda atau pesan nonverbal tertentu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan semiotika dari Charles Sanders Peirce sebagai teknik analisisnya. Data diperoleh melalui data primer dan data sekunder. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa citra polisi dalam film pendek ini cukup tersampaikan dengan baik di mana masyarakat khususnya anak muda selama ini menganggap bahwa tugas polisi hanya bisa menilang dan meminta uang. Apa yang masyarakat pikirkan selama ini tentu sangat mempengaruhi citra kepolisian dalam ranah negatif. Namun, film pendek tersebut berhasil membangun citra positif polisi kembali, di mana polisi ditampilkan sebagai sosok pahlawan dengan beragam macam tugas yang harus tetap rendah hati dalam menghadapi beragam sikap para pelanggar maupun msyarakat sipil yang membutuhkan bantuan. Citra positif juga terlihat dari sikap tanggap untuk menolong orang lain meskipun orang tersebut sudah merendahkan profesinya.

Abstract

Individuals meet and communicate with other individuals in various social contexts every day. They interact and communicate by bringing with them the patterns of thinking, feeling and behavior they have learned during their lives. All forms of communication must have a cultural background, and the differences that exist in the communication process become a major obstacle. This study aims to discover how communication exists amid cultural differences between Indonesia and Australia so that the communication process continues to run well, using Erving Goffman's Dramaturgy theory approach, with the concept of backstage and frontstage. This research is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that in the preparation stage (backstage), before directly meeting and communicating with Australian families, they used two kinds of information sources: Internet References and Human References. In their daily interactions, in presenting the frontstage, there were two kinds of characters shown by the speakers, namely Westernized Indonesian and Indonesianized-Indonesian.

Abstract

Tel-U Literacy Event 2021 seeks to embrace various pentahelix elements to call for the spirit of literacy so that they can provide knowledge that can be utilized in improving people's welfare. This study aims to explore what Public Relations campaign strategies are being carried out to increase the literacy spirit of the Indonesian people. The type of research used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The primary data sources used are the results of observations and interviews with key informants, supporting informants, and expert informants in the field of event management, public relations campaign management, and literacy. The results showed that in implementing the Public Relations campaign strategy in increasing the spirit of literacy, there are five main stages consisting of situation analysis, planning programming, pentahelix strategy, Taking Action Communication, and monitoring evaluation. Situation analysis and monitoring evaluation are two interconnected stages, this stage the Literacy Event routinely conducts After Action Review activities in order to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the events being held. Through these three activities, Literacy Event is much easier to determine the purpose of the activity, target audience, themes and topics, until the implementation of the activity takes place.

Abstract

Self-concept plays a role in shaping oneself, self-attitude, valuing oneself and others and the surrounding environment. Most people who knows indigo as a negative ability in an indigo person. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the process of forming the self-concept of indigo late-adolescents with the aim to find out how the process of an indigo adolescent faces the turmoil that comes from within themselves or others or the surrounding environment to form a concept within themselves. This study uses a qualitative approach using interviews, observation, and documentation as data collecting. The results of this study indicate that the process of self-concept formation of indigo adolescents in the informants has begun since childhood until the age of adolescence at this time. The process of forming the self-concept was obtained from interaction and communication by the informants. Through this interaction and communication, the formation of self-concept experiences various obstacles until finally the informants can accept themselves and feel comfortable with their indigo abilities.

Abstract

Building a positive company reputation can be done by company's CEO using social media. This research aims to understand how Telkomsel implements CEO communication as public relations strategy in managing CEO Telkomsel @hendrisjam's Instagram account. This research uses the Public Relations Strategy theory by Cutlip Center (2013). This research used qualitative approach with descriptive research and data collection techniques which were conducted through in-depth interviews with one key informant, two expert informants, and four supporting informants, also through non-participant observation and document study. Based on the research results, it was found that Telkomsel's public relations implemented a special strategy in managing their CEO's Instagram account which consisted of five stages, such as secondary analysis for new innovations, setting more specific activity goals, determining target audiences, strengthening HR expertise to implement activity planning, and program evaluation. The final conclusion is that Telkomsel's positive reputation can be built through personal branding that the CEO communicates on Instagram according to the goals of this activity, and the perception tone obtained from followers is also positive.
