Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of interactive multimedia based on Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in improving early childhood language skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The study subjects consisted of two groups, namely the experimental class using AR/VR media and the control class using conventional picture story media. The participants were 20 children at Miftahul Ulum Kindergarten, 10 children in each group. The research instrument was a language ability test given before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the treatment. The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality, homogeneity, and t-test tests at a significance level of 0.05. The analysis showed that the experimental class's average post-test score was 67.1 points higher than the control class's average of 62.4. The t-test showed that t count 0.998 was greater than t table 0.444, which means there was a significant difference between the two groups. These findings indicate that interactive multimedia based on AR and VR can provide a more enjoyable and meaningful learning experience and effectively improve early childhood language skills. This study recommends integrating immersive technology in PAUD learning as an innovative effort to optimally support children's language development.

Abstract

Sistem Penilaian Akreditasi atau yang biasanya disingkat dengan Sispena adalah aplikasi penilaian akreditasi berbasis web dengan pemanfaatan data pokok pendidikan dan kebudayaan (dapodik) untuk memudahkan dalam proses pelaksanaan akreditasi, khususnya pada ranah pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) dan pendidikan nonformal (PNF). Aplikasi sispena ini sangat mudah dan efisien bisa diakses dari mana saja, kapan saja dengan syarat pengguna terhubung dengan akses internet dan satuan/sekolah memiliki akun – username dan password - untuk mengakses. Meski disadari bahwa akreditasi adalah proses reguler yang harus dilakukan oleh satuan pendidikan khususnya satuan pendidikan pada anak usia dini (PAUD) dan pendidikan nonformal (PNF) agar dapat dikategorikan sebagai lembaga yang layak untuk menyelenggarakan pendidikan, pada  kenyataannya masih banyak ditemukan satuan pendidikan di Kabupaten Gresik masih belum memperhatikan hal ini secara seksama. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam rangka memberikan sosialisasi akreditasi BAN PAUD dan PNF serta pendampingan pengisian sispena 3.1 pada satuan PAUD dan PNF se kabupaten Gresik sebagai langkah awal mengajukan akreditasi guna meningkatkan nilai akreditasi. Subyek kegiatan sosialisasi dan pendampingan ini adalah sasaran sampul acak yang wajib mengikuti akreditasi (compulsory) dari seluruh satuan PAUD baik KB/PG atau TK/RA atau PKBM sebanyak 63 satuan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi akreditasi dan pendampingan pengisian sispena 3.1 ini dilaksanakan secara luring pada Selasa, 23 Mei 2023 bertempat di UPT SMP Negeri 3 Gresik Jln. Panglima Sudirman No. 100 Gresik dengan peserta adalah seluruh operator sekolah yang didampingi oleh Ibu Kepala Sekolah. Pada saat kegiatan pemaparan materi narasumber/pemateri menggunakan metode simulasi praktik secara langsung dengan pengisian data akreditasi melalui aplikasi sispena 3.1 kepada 63 satuan peserta. Hasil dari kegiatan sosialisasi akreditasi dan pendampingan pengisian sispena 3.1  yaitu peserta dari masing-masing sekolah dapat memahami pentingnya kegiatan akreditasi dan mekanisme pengisian data akreditasi melalui sispena 3.1 dengan baik, serta menyiapkan indikator pemenuhan mutlak dan dokumen berupa data mutu lulusan, data proses pembelajaran, data mutu guru data managerial sekolah dan data sarana dan prasarana untuk memenuhi unsur penilaian yang ada pada sistem badan akreditasi nasional. Peserta cukup antusias yang awalnya masih banyak di antara operator sekolah belum begitu memahami cara pengisian data Akreditasi pada aplikasi sispena 3.1 namun setelah diadakan sosialisasi dan pendampingan ini masing-masing sekolah bisa melanjutkan pengisiannya dari rumah atau sekolah masing-masing serta masih tetap ada pemantauan melalui media sosial whatsapp group secara intensif

Abstract

Literacy culture is very important to be driven together to improve the quality of early childhood education in educational units. Literacy is not only related to children's reading, writing and arithmetic (calistung) abilities, but includes all the abilities within the child himself, these abilities need to be developed as early as possible as literacy is the foundation of children's abilities at a later age. Devotion regarding strategies for assisting PAUD teachers in preparing the transition period for PAUD to SD/MI level through the literacy movement in the South Gresik region using the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) strategy which is real in educational units. Developing literacy does not mean children are intense and full of discipline but to conclude in The main results are (1) analysis of the superiority of PAUD teacher assistance services in preparing the PAUD transition period to SD/MI level through the literacy movement, (2) analysis of PAUD teacher assistance strategies in preparing the PAUD transition period to SD/MI level through the literacy movement, (3 ) analysis of the expectations of the PAUD teacher mentoring service program in preparing the PAUD transition period to the SD/MI level through the literacy movement.

Abstract

This community service program aims to provide assistance and training in PAUD administrative management to all educational staff/treasurers in the PAUD Education Unit in the South Gresik region in Menganti District, Driyorejo District, Kedamean District and Wringinanom District. The focus on the PAUD administrative management mentoring and training program includes 1) sources of funds owned by PAUD units, 2) administrative management, 3) PAUD unit administration, 4) PAUD unit management reports, 5) obstacles to managing PAUD unit administration, 6) use of administration PAUD unit. Collection methods include interviews, observation, documentation, and direct observation in PAUD units. The implementation of mentoring activities and training on PAUD administrative management was carried out in 2 meetings and continued with consistent online mentoring. From the evaluation results, it was found that the use of administrative management of the PAUD units has been running well and in accordance with the procedures that have been jointly established at the annual meeting of each unit, however it is necessary to add additional educational staff or a treasurer if the principal of the PAUD education unit is also an operator, teachers, principals and also treasurers. Apart from that, educational staff belonging to the PAUD unit are given the opportunity to take part in seminars or training on improving the competency of financial managers to become more competent and professional treasurers.

Abstract

The PAUD teacher mentoring activity program in the Gresik Regency area in each sub-district has its own characteristics and uniqueness, there are 2 - 5 units in each sub-district in Gresik Regency which have almost the same problems as other units, namely in terms of lack of enthusiasm for competitiveness between units. one unit with another, lack of order in administration, as well as PAUD teachers' lack of understanding of the development of Early Childhood learning media. The aim of the PAUD teacher mentoring activities in each sub-district is to; 1) Strengthening and empowering, 2) Carrying out integrated unit promotions, 3) Providing workshops and training in the form of making educational game tools (APE) that are adapted to Curriculum 13 and early Asian education learning models. The target of this PAUD teacher mentoring activity is to manage PAUD units located in each sub-district. This service uses a descriptive method regarding the real picture in the educational unit in the form of delivering material, assignments, questions and answers and discussions, workshops dividing into small groups, training in making educational game tools (APE) with the main focus for Early Childhood (AUD). The expected results are the implementation of the Unit Based Management (MBS) program from empowerment activities, promotion programs integrated with units and increased understanding of teachers regarding the creation of Educational Game Tools (APE) for Early Childhood Children. It is hoped that this PAUD teacher mentoring activity will receive good appreciation from the units in Gresik Regency and all educators and teaching staff as having a strategic meaning related to improving the quality of PAUD in Gresik Regency.

Abstract

Early childhood education is a crucial initial stage in developing knowledge, attitudes, and skills. One way to instill an understanding of local culture from an early age is through the introduction of traditional foods. This study aimed to introduce Pudak, a traditional Gresik food, to students at RA Raden Paku Kedamean as a means of broadening their knowledge and preserving the culture. The method used was thematic learning through storytelling, direct observation, and simple practical exercises. The results showed that the children gained a better understanding of the characteristics of local food, learned about the basic ingredients of pudak, and fostered pride in their regional culture. Therefore, this study confirms that introducing traditional foods can be an effective learning strategy and a means of cultural preservation for the younger generation

Abstract

Cara belajar seorang anak berbeda dengan orang dewasa sehingga pembelajarannya pun harus dilakukan dengan strategi yang berbeda. Belajar bagi seorang anak memiliki karakteristik sendiri yang berbeda dengan orang dewasa, di antaranya yaitu bermain sambil belajar, belajar alamiah, dan membangun sendiri pengetahuannya. Anak-anak menghabiskan begitu banyak waktu dan energi mereka sehari-hari dengan bermain. Bermain bagi seorang anak tidak sekedar mengisi waktu, melainkan dalam bermain anak memiliki nilai kesempatan untuk mengekspresikan sesuatu yang anak rasakan dan pikirkan, melalui aktivitas bermain itulah anak-anak sebenarnya belajar. Dan hal demikian tentu berbeda dengan belajar yang dipahami oleh orang dewasa dengan segala aturan dan tuntutan di akhirnya. Bermain Sosiodrama pada anak usia dini mempunyai tujuan yang mungkin tidak disadari oleh orang dewasa, dimana saat anak bermain, sebenarnya ia sedang mengembangkan seluruh potensi yang terdapat dalam dirinya guna menjadi modal awal yang kokoh bagi dirinya di masa depan saat menghadapi permasalahan dalam hidup. Dalam kegiatan bermain sosiodrama dibutuhkan perlengkapan yang mendukung, dalam hal ini peneliti memanfaatkan daur ulang botol bekas sebagai alat permainan edukasi (APE) pembelajaran untuk anak, yang mana kegiatannya adalah mengenal berbagai keaksaraan yang ada pada masing-masing botol bekas yang sudah tidak terpakai dengan menyamakan simbol hurufnya pada mini alfabet card atau APE pohon huruf. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi selain anak-anak mampu memainkan peran layaknya kehidupan sehari-hari bermasyarakat, tujuan berikutnya yakni agar anak lebih dini mampu mengenal beragam keaksaraan dengan menggunakan daur ulang botol bekas. Penelitian tentang bermain sosiodrama pemanfaatan ragam botol bekas sebagai alat permainan edukasi untuk mengenalkan pra keaksaraan kepada anak usia dini di satuan Pendidikan yang ada di Kecamatan Kedamean Kabupaten Gresik dan diharapkan memberikan referensi dan edukasi kepada orang tua dan Pendidik PAUD khususnya untuk bisa memahami dunia anak usia dini salah satunya dengan memahami hakikat bermain dan makna bermain bagi anak usia dini. Dalam hal ini, untuk mengenalkan huruf atau keaksaraan awal bisa melalui benda yang ada di sekitar yakni pemanfaatan botol bekas yang memiliki ragam merk atau jenis. Kegiatan tersebut dikemas melalui aktivitas sosiodrama atau bermain peran layaknya aktivitas orang dewasa namun versi anak. Hal ini diperoleh dengan mengeksplorasi berbagai sumber dari beberapa literatur dari hasil penelitian dan pemikiran di mana hasilnya dapat digunakan bagi orang tua dan Pendidik PAUD agar lebih tepat dalam mendampingi dan mendesain kegiatan pembelajaran bagi anak usia dini sehingga mutiara pembelajaran pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) yaitu bermain sambil belajar dapat tercapai.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational game tool called "Religion Mazes for Kids" to enhance the religious and moral values of children aged 4-5 years. Utilizing a research and development (R&D) method and needs analysis through surveys, this research produces a product whose feasibility is tested using descriptive quantitative analysis, including validation tests, initial field trials, and extensive field trials. The results indicate that this tool is suitable for use, with validation from material and media experts showing a "very good" category (scores of 4.75 from material experts, 4.46 from media experts, and 4.62 from classroom teachers). Improvement in children's abilities is evident from the pretest and posttest tables, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.002, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. These findings suggest that integrating educational games like "Religion Mazes for Kids" into early childhood learning can effectively foster the development of religious and moral values in young children.

Abstract

Early childhood education requires learning strategies and methods that provide authentic learning experiences in order to achieve optimal child development. The development of naturalistic intelligence is one important aspect that needs to be stimulated from an early age, as it plays a crucial role in fostering children’s environmental awareness. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the outing class learning strategy in improving children’s naturalistic intelligence at RA Mambaul Ulum Driyorejo Gresik, as well as to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that outing class activities, such as gardening, classifying plants, and recycling organic waste into fertilizer, are effective in fostering children’s environmental awareness and enhancing their naturalistic intelligence. Supporting factors include children’s enthusiasm, teacher competence, and the availability of a rich and diverse surrounding environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of limited funding, weather conditions, and children’s increasing levels of activity. Therefore, the outing class strategy serves as a contextual and enjoyable learning approach that effectively promotes the development of naturalistic intelligence in early childhood.

Abstract

Keterlibatan orang tua melalui partisipasi aktif dan komunikasi yang baik dengan sekolah sangat krusial dalam mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta perspektif orang tua terhadap program parent teaching di TK Islam Babussalam. Menggunakan metode kualitatif pendekatan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ini telah diimplementasikan dengan cukup baik melalui perencanaan, keterlibatan langsung dalam kelas, dan evaluasi bersama. Keberhasilan program didukung oleh komunikasi efektif, jadwal fleksibel, dan motivasi orang tua, meski masih terhambat oleh keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya rasa percaya diri, serta pemahaman metode pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, orang tua memberikan perspektif positif karena merasa dihargai dan mampu membangun kerja sama yang lebih baik dengan guru. Disimpulkan bahwa keterlibatan orang tua melalui parent teaching merupakan strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di PAUD.
