Abstract

Abstract

Purpose — The main objective of this study is to evaluate the behavioral models of TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) and SDL (Service Dominant Logic). Its specific focus is to investigate how ease of use, servitization, and security impact repurchase intention in e-commerce. Additionally, this study aims to examine the mediating role of customer satisfaction.Method — This study utilized quantitative method which involved an online survey with 125 student participants. The sampling technique involved non-probability and purposive sampling. The validity and reliability of the outer model were assessed through SmartPLS analysis, while the smartPLS inner model was used to test hypotheses.Result — Our findings indicate that there is a direct impact of ease of use, servitization, and security on repurchase intentions in e-commerce. Additionally, we observed that perceived customer satisfaction serves as a mediator in the behavioral model of e-commerce repurchase intention.Contribution — This study provides empirical evidence on how ease of use, servitization, and security impact customer repurchase intentions in e-commerce, with customer satisfaction serving as the mediator and TAM and SDL behavioral models as the primary frameworks for analysis.

Abstract

This research proposes a market recognition enhancement of wayang purba, a traditional indigenous performance from Ngebung Village, Sragen Regency, through Geographical Indications (GIs) registration. The research applies qualitative methods to explore the roles of academia, business, government, community, and media using the Institutional Analysis Development (IAD) framework by Elinor Ostrom. The IAD framework delivers the authentic potential of Sragen as a prehistoric site and a part of Central Java with solid roots in wayang performances. On the contrary, the analysis also found that stakeholder support still needed to run partially, overlapping roles that failed to achieve collective efforts in carrying Wayang Purba to gain recognition of GIs. The importance of GIs in increasing market recognition of indigenous art products underlies research suggestions on managing the roles of stakeholders in a more integrated manner. Research recommendations align with previous literature that the GIs scheme is the right step for cultural marketing that needs to be managed collectively. Even so, an in-depth exploration of the duties and functions of each institution still needs to be implemented in future research.

Abstract

Purpose: This study explores how the strategic significance of the workforce and HR flexibility toward strategic human capital capabilities affects organizational performance in higher education institutions, with the research centered on the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The research highlights how human capital adaptability and strategic alignment serve as critical determinants of organizational success.Methodology: A quantitative approach was applied by distributing structured questionnaires to 72 permanent lecturers, assessed utilising a five-point Likert scale. Data were analysed utilising Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0 to evaluate construct validity, reliability, and the structural relationships among the variables. The conceptual model comprises four fundamental constructs: Workforce Strategic Importance, HR Flexibility, Strategic Human Capabilities, and Organizational Performance. Results: The results show that Workforce Strategic Importance and HR Flexibility produce positive yet statistically insignificant direct effects on Organizational Performance. However, both factors considerably strengthen Strategic Human Capabilities, which subsequently exert a strong positive impact on Organisational Performance. The results demonstrate that Strategic Human Capabilities serve as a vital mediating mechanism that translates the impact of HR initiatives into enhanced performance outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the direct effects of work-life balance and psychological well-being on job performance among Generation Z employees in Central Java, Indonesia, and investigates whether employee engagement and self-efficacy mediate these relationships.Methodology: A quantitative survey was administered to 181 Generation Z respondents working in major cities of Central Java. Data were collected using a 24-item instrument and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0.Results: The findings indicate that both work-life balance and psychological well-being have significant positive direct effects on job performance. However, employee engagement and self-efficacy do not mediate these relationships, as all indirect effects were statistically non-significant.Applications/Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by challenging the assumed mediating roles of engagement and self-efficacy in the well-being–performance link for Generation Z in a non-Western context. It offers practical insights for organizations aiming to enhance Gen Z performance through well-being initiatives rather than traditional engagement-based interventions.
