Abstract

Abstract

Electronic Medical Records are a health information system whose implementation is mandatory in all healthcare facilities in Indonesia in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022. The success of EMR implementation is determined not only by the technology used but also by user acceptance of the system. This study aims to analyze the influence of medical records staff acceptance on the use of EMR at Indriati Solo Baru Hospital based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 45 medical records staff selected using total sampling. Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test and Fisher’s Exact Test. The results showed that the majority of respondents were female (62.2%), aged 20–30 years (71.1%), held a D3 degree (91.1%), and had 1–5 years of work experience (51.1%). EHR usage was in the optimal category for 25 respondents (55.6%). The analysis results showed that perceived benefits (sig. = 0.473), perceived ease of use (sig. = 1.000), and intention to use (sig. = 0.473) did not have a significant effect on RME usage. Meanwhile, attitude had a significant effect on RME usage (sig. = 0.037). It was concluded that attitude is a factor influencing RME usage at Indriati So Hospital.

Abstract

RSD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro has implemented Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in healthcare services. However, several issues related to data security are still encountered in its implementation, including the continued use of paper-based forms, staff practices that may compromise account confidentiality, errors in patient data entry, and system disruptions affecting data availability. This study aimed to evaluate the compliance of Outpatient Registration Officers with the Electronic Medical Record privacy policy based on three main aspects of information security: privacy, integrity, and availability. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Outpatient Registration Officers and direct field observations. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using triangulation of interview and observation results. The results showed that, in terms of privacy, officers understood the importance of maintaining data confidentiality and used personal accounts; however, practices such as recording usernames were still found, which may pose security risks. Regarding integrity, officers generally followed data entry procedures and performed data verification, although accuracy was not always consistent during periods of high workload. In terms of availability, the EMR system supported healthcare services, but system disruptions still occurred and hindered access to patient data. It can be concluded that staff compliance with EMR data security policies was generally good but not yet optimal. Therefore, improvements in supervision, staff compliance, and system reliability are needed to enhance data security and service quality.

Abstract

Delays in returning inpatient medical record documents may disrupt the continuity of services in the medical records unit, particularly in data processing, information retrieval, and healthcare service delivery. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of staff workload, the completeness of medical record documents, and the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the timeliness of returning inpatient medical record documents. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informants consisted of five ward nurses, while observations were conducted on 100 inpatient medical record documents. The findings revealed that 62% of the medical record documents were returned late. Most informants (60%) stated that excessive workload was the primary obstacle, while 57% of the medical record documents were incomplete and 60% of the informants had not fully implemented the SOPs. These results indicate that high workload, incomplete medical record documentation, and inadequate implementation of SOPs are the main factors affecting the timely return of inpatient medical record documents. Therefore, improving compliance with SOPs, optimizing workload management, and strengthening supervision of document completeness are essential to enhance the quality and efficiency of medical record services.

Abstract

Anemia remains a major public health concern among adolescent girls despite ongoing iron supplementation and screening programs. Health education may improve knowledge, attitudes, and preventive practices related to anemia prevention. This study aimed to assess changes in knowledge, attitudes, and preventive practices among adolescent girls following a health education program supported by leaflets and posters. A pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest study was conducted from May to June 2026 among 100 female participants aged 17-20 years who were active members of Karang Taruna “Tunas Mekar” in Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia. All eligible members were included through total sampling. Participants completed a validated and reliable questionnaire immediately before the intervention and seven days afterward. Paired scores were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and effect sizes were calculated as r = Z/√N. Following the intervention, median knowledge, attitude, and preventive-practice scores increased from 10 (IQR 8-12) to 13 (IQR 12-14), 28 (IQR 25-31) to 33 (IQR 31-36), and 6 (IQR 5-7) to 8 (IQR 7-9), respectively. Significant differences were observed between pre-test and post-test scores for knowledge, attitudes, and preventive practices (all p < 0.001), with moderate effect sizes (r = 0.394-0.411). Short-term improvements in knowledge, attitudes, and self-reported preventive practices were observed following the health education program. These findings suggest that leaflet- and poster-assisted health education may be a practical component of community-based anemia prevention programs; however, controlled studies with longer follow-up are needed to confirm long-term effectiveness.

Abstract

Primary health care performance is closely linked to patient satisfaction, which reflects the extent to which services meet patient expectations. This study aimed to identify the determinants of outpatient satisfaction based on health service quality dimensions at Puskesmas Simo, Boyolali. A cross-sectional analytical observational design was applied involving 100 outpatient respondents selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable structured questionnaire and analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate logistic regression methods. Results showed that the majority of respondents rated service quality positively across all SERVQUAL dimensions, with 90% reporting satisfaction. Multivariate analysis revealed that four dimensions of reliability (OR = 6,08), responsiveness (OR = 4,20), assurance (OR = 2,66), and empathy (OR = 5,09) significantly influenced outpatient satisfaction (p < 0,05), whereas tangibles did not (p = 0,220). Reliability was the strongest determinant, indicating that patients perceiving consistent, timely, and accurate services were more than six times likely to report satisfaction. These findings highlight that non-physical aspects of service quality, including interpersonal interactions and service process effectiveness, are more decisive than physical infrastructure in determining patient satisfaction. Strengthening staff competencies, ensuring standardized procedures, and promoting patient-centered care are recommended to enhance service quality in primary health care.
