Abstract

Background: BIM is a digital program or software that was created to transform the conventional construction world into a digital and integrated construction world to facilitate development work. This study aims to determine the experience of students in using BIM to understand the concept of Steel Structures for students of classes 2020 & 2021. Methods: This research uses a qualitative approach with thematic analysis techniques, whose data collection uses BIM test scores and Steel Structure II scores. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing 10 students who could do the BIM test and get high Steel Structure scores. Thematic analysis using ChatGPT version 4. Results: The results show that there are 6 themes in the experience of students in using BIM to understand the concept of Steel Structure. The first theme is the general experience with BIM. The second theme is the benefits of using BIM for Steel Structures. The third theme was the challenges in using BIM, and students experienced initial difficulties in understanding BIM. The fourth theme was the role of BIM in improving understanding of Steel Structures. The fifth theme is the perception of using BIM in civil engineering learning. The sixth theme is suggestions for improving the use of BIM gacorqq. Conclusion: This research concludes that the use of BIM in learning Steel Structure is very useful to deepen students' understanding of the concept of Steel Structure.

Abstract

This study examined the classroom management skills of prospective vocational teachers in the Building Construction Expretise Program during teaching practice in DKI Jakarta. Participants were 17 prospective teachers and 286 students, selected through purposive sampling. The study used a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative data from a Likert-scale questionnaire and qualitative data from classroom observations. The prospective vocational teachers showed strong skills in creating a positive classroom environment (76.2%) and preventing problems (72.0%). However, they had dificulties in managing existing problems (53.4%) and in building effective classroom systems (46.0%). Weak areas included enthusiasm for teaching, giving praise and criticism, giving rewards and punishments, coaching, managing mobile phone, classroom design, motivating students, and building relationships. These findings indicate that prospective vocational teachers need more training and examples to improve their classroom management skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of health and comfort based on Minister of Public Works Regulation Number 29 of 2006 concerning Guidelines for Technical Building Requirements for Bidara Cina Flats. The method used is descriptive research using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were families who lived in flats. The sampling technique used a formula developed by Isaac and Michael to obtain 194 samples. The results of this research show that the perception of the residents of the Bidara Cina Flats regarding health, with a percentage of 72.075%, can be said to be that the level of health in the Bidara Cina Flats is Medium. It is shown based on the results of each aspect of health, namely the ventilation system, lighting system, sanitation, and The use of building materials in Block II is better than in Block I. Then the occupants' perception of comfort in the Bidara Cina Flats is still considered moderate, with a percentage of 66.355%. This is shown based on the results of each aspect of comfort, including movement space, air condition, sight (visual), sound (audio), and social environment in Block II are better than in Block I.

Abstract

Workshop pembuatan maket jembatan kayu balsa bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMA terhadap konsep dasar konstruksi, mengembangkan keterampilan teknis, dan memperkuat kemampuan kerja tim melalui integrasi pembelajaran berbasis STEM. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Victory Plus Bekasi dengan melibatkan 28 siswa kelas X. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah kurangnya pemahaman konsep konsep fisika konstruksi secara abstrak, minimnya keterampilan teknis dalam menggunakan alat, serta pengalaman kerja tim yang terbatas. Metodologi yang digunakan meliputi pemberian materi dasar konstruksi, pembentukan kelompok, pemberian arahan teknis, pelaksanaan workshop, dan evaluasi melalui tes pemahaman serta hasil maket jembatan. Bahan utama yang digunakan adalah kayu balsa, yang dikenal karena sifatnya yang ringan dan ramah lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa, dengan rata-rata skor post-test meningkat sebesar 20% dibandingkan pre-test. Selain itu, dua dari tujuh kelompok berhasil menyelesaikan maket sesuai dengan desain yang ditentukan, menunjukkan kemampuan teknis dan kolaborasi yang baik. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa integrasi STEM melalui pembuatan maket jembatan kayu balsa efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran siswa. Kegiatan ini juga berpotensi untuk diperluas ke sekolah lain dan dikembangkan dengan tingkat kompleksitas yang lebih tinggi. Sebagai rekomendasi, pelatihan tambahan dalam penggunaan alat dan manajemen waktu dapat meningkatkan hasil kegiatan di masa mendatang. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan pendidikan berbasis STEM di Indonesia dapat semakin berkembang, memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi siswa dan dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengetahui sumber dana sekolah yang selama ini diterapkan; (2) menemukan model pengembangan sumber dana alternatif sekolah, dan (3) mengujicoba keefektifan internal model pengembangan sumber dana sekolah di SMK Bidang Keahlian Teknologi dan Rekayasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK negeri dan swasta di kota Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) sumber dana sebagian besar berasal dari pemerintah dan masyarakat; sumber dana alternatif yang selama ini digali oleh SMK berasal dari penyewaan kantin, unit produksi dan koperasi; dan peran sumber dana alternatif terhadap anggaran belanja operasional sekolah adalah ≤ 0,39%. (2) Hasil pengembangan menghasilkan grand design model pengembangan sumber dana alternatif sekolah yang terdiri dari: model pengelolaan sumber dana dan model pengembangan unit-unit usaha. (3) Hasil uji internal yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa ahli setuju: (a) komponen model telah lengkap (84,5%); (b) struktur komponen model telah jelas (86,3%) ; (c) hubungan antar komponen model telah jelas (80,4%); (d) model memiliki keterbacaan yang baik (82,2%); (e) model telah layak (88,1%); dan (f) model efektif jika diimplementasikan (93,3%). DEVELOPING THE SOURCE OF SCHOOL FUNDS IN VOCATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOLSAbstractThis research aims to: (1) reveal the source of school fund model which has been applied; (2) reveal the development model of alternative source of school fund; and (3) test the internal effectiveness of development model of source of school fund in vocational secondary schools (SMK) which run the Study Program of Technology and Engineering Expertise. This research employed the research and development method. This research was conducted at public and private vocational secondary schools in Yogyakarta. The research data were collected using in depth interview and observation. The results of this research show that: (1) the source of the schools' fund is the government and citizens; the alternative source of the schools' fund which has been cultivated by SMK mainly comes from canteen lease, production units, and cooperatives; and the contribution of the alternative source of the schools' fund to the schools' operating budget is ≤ 0.39%. (2) The result of the development showed that the grand design model of alternative source of school fund which consist of source of funds management model and development of business units model. Furthermore, the result of internal effectiveness testing which involved the experts concluded that: (a) the components of the model are sufficient (84,5%); (b) the structure of the components of the model has been understood (86.3%); (c) the relationship between the components is clear (80.4%); (d) the model has good readability (80.4%); (e) the model is acceptable (88.1%); and (f) the model is effective if it is implemented (93.3%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas Negeri Jakarta pada mata kuliah Mekanika Teknik 1. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dokumentasi nilai mahasiswa, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik ANOVA satu arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara latar belakang pendidikan dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Faktor-faktor internal seperti motivasi belajar, kesiapan akademik, serta minat terhadap mata kuliah berpengaruh positif terhadap pencapaian akademik. Sementara itu, faktor eksternal seperti dukungan keluarga dan lingkungan kampus turut memberikan kontribusi terhadap keberhasilan belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya penyesuaian metode pembelajaran oleh dosen dan peningkatan kesiapan belajar dari mahasiswa.

Abstract

The issue of curriculum relevance in vocational education is a crucial issue of all time. The relevance of the curriculum has two blades, whether it will be the biggest strength or even the biggest weakness in vocational education. Relevance will link the existing employment potential and the graduate's ability to fulfill the job requirements. This research aims to determine the relevance of the independent vocational school learning curriculum, especially in the field of construction, with the competencies needed in the world of work. This research uses a qualitative approach with participants being teachers in the field of study, especially construction and leaders/heads/managers in companies. Data collection was carried out through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The questions in the FGD consisted of open-ended questions to find out participants' answers in detail. The research results show that there is relevance between the Merdeka Curriculum and the needs of industry, especially in the building construction sector. Vocational school graduates generally have opportunities in small-scale construction industry services and efforts to increase relevance between schools and industry are to increase cooperation and increase teacher competence.

Abstract

Research that has been done by building engineering students as a thesis tends to choose a theme that has been widely researched before. This research aims to find out the trends of vocational education research in the field of engineering building including trends of theme research and trends of methodology research. This research used descriptive quantitative research methods with a library research approach. Data collection techniques using documentation. Data analysis techniques are used in content analysis. The results of this study show the trends that have occurred in vocational education research in the field of building engineering in 4 universities, then obtained the trend of vocational education research themes and research methodology trends: 1) The theme of vocational education research in the field of building engineering is in high demand is the theme of teaching and learning with a percentage score of 47%, 2) The research method in demand is Research and Development with a percentage score of 31%, 3) Interesting research subjects are learners with a percentage score of 58%, 4) The data collection technique in demand is a questionnaire with a percentage score of 36%, and 5) The data analysis technique of interest is descriptive statistical analysis with a percentage score of 67%.
