Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of pesantren education on the development of student character in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that have an important role in shaping the character of students through a holistic approach that includes religious, moral, ethical, and social skills education. The board-based education system in pesantren allows students to live in a structured environment, where values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and social solidarity are internalized through daily activities and social interaction. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to understand more deeply how pesantren plays a role in shaping the character of strong and integrity students, especially in the midst of the challenges of modernization and globalization. The results of the study show that pesantren have a significant influence in building the character of students through traditional and religious values, which remains relevant even in the face of social and technological changes. Islamic boarding schools have also begun to integrate modern skills such as entrepreneurship and digital literacy to prepare students to face global challenges. The aspects of character that are most influenced by pesantren education include discipline, social responsibility, solidarity, and independence. This research concludes that pesantren have a great contribution in forming a young generation that is moral, moral, and ready to adapt to the changing times without losing their traditional identity

Abstract

Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kota Binjai 2022, jumlah penduduk berusia 5 – 24 tahun Kelurahan Jati Makmur Kecamatan Binjai Utara sebanyak 3.634 jiwa dengan perbandingan jumlah laki-laki dan perempuan hampir 1:1. Selain itu, berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan telah diketahui juga persentasi penduduk berusia 7 – 24 tahun, yaitu SD/sederajat 33,61%, SMP/sederajat 12,74%, SMA/ke atas 23,04%, dan tidak bersekolah lagi 30,61%. Berdasarkan data tersebut, Tim Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) Politeknik Penerbangan Medan berempati untuk melaksanakan pelatihan di Kelurahan Jati Makmur. Pelatihan tersebut bertujuan untuk membekali/ meningkatkan keahlian yang bersifat teknik khususnya bagi penduduk yang tidak bersekolah lagi. Sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup penduduk di kelurahan tersebut. Tim PKM telah melaksanakan pelatihan menggulung ulang kumparan motor listrik alternating current (AC) 1 phasa selama 3 hari di Kelurahan Jati Makmur. Jenis pelatihan tersebut dipilih karena berdasarkan data BPS Kota Binjai 2022, sumber air minum penduduk Kelurahan Jati Makmur adalah air isi ulang atau air sumur bor (pompa). Sehingga penggunaan motor listrik AC 1 phasa sebagai penggerak pompa sangat sering digunakan. Tahapan pelatihan diawali dengan pengenalan aplikasi, prinsip kerja, dan bagian-bagian motor listrik. Tahapan selanjutnya adalah praktek membongkar, menggulung ulang kumparan, dan memasang kembali motor listrik. Terdapat 3 metode pendekatan yang digunakan pada pelatihan ini, yaitu metode ceramah, peragaan, dan praktek. Evaluasi hasil pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan pre-test dan post-test kepada setiap peserta. Berdasarkan hasil test tersebut diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman peserta pelatihan terkait menggulung ulang kumparan motor listrik, yaitu dari nilai rata-rata 45 (pre-test) menjadi 90 (post-test)

Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi media informasi, sistem informasi ketarunaan di Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya menjadi semakin penting sebagai sarana untuk mempermudah taruna dalam melakukan perizinan online, serta menginput data prestasi dan jasmani. Selain itu, sistem ini juga mendukung tim Pusat Pembangunan Karakter dalam menilai aspek non-akademik untuk kenaikan tingkat taruna. Oleh karena itu, proyek akhir ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sebuah website sistem informasi ketarunaan Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya yang lebih interaktif dengan fitur yang lebih lengkap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode waterfall yang terdiri dari lima tahapan: analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Metode ini memudahkan peneliti dalam melakukan riset kebutuhan pengguna yang menjadi dasar perancangan website. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan mempermudah taruna dalam melakukan perizinan online serta membantu tim Pusat Pembangunan Karakter dalam penilaian kenaikan tingkat, serta memfasilitasi penyusunan data ketarunaan di Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya. .

Abstract

Beban penerangan, beban air conditioner (AC) dan peralatan listrik portabel memainkan peranan penting dalam menentukan kebutuhan daya listrik pada sebuah gedung. Penentuan kebutuhan daya listrik yang tepat dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan energi listrik sehingga dapat menurunkan biaya tagihan listrik. Selain itu juga dapat menanggulangi resiko kebakaran akibat listrik. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi kebutuhan daya listrik pada Gedung Distributor Kertas PT X Medan sesuai dengan standar kelistrikan yang berlaku. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan kebutuhan daya listrik hasil perhitungan sesuai dengan standar PUIL 2011 terhadap daya listrik yang terpasang pada gedung. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh total kebutuhan daya listrik untuk Gedung Distributor Kertas PT X Medan sebesar 22.290 Watt dengan perincian kebutuhan daya listrik untuk penerangan sebesar 2.250 Watt dan kebutuhan listrik untuk AC sebesar 20.040Watt. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, daya listrik terpasang pada gedung sebesar 23.000 VA. Dengan demikian, daya terpasang Gedung Distributor Kertas PT X Medan perlu dinaikkan hingga 26.000VA untuk menanggulangi dampak faktor daya dan pemakaian peralatan listrik portabel

Abstract

This study evaluates the long-term impact of telecommuting post-COVID-19 on employee productivity. With the increased adoption of telecommuting during the pandemic, companies worldwide have transformed work models, necessitating an assessment of this approach’s sustainability. The study employs a literature review method, analyzing 74 articles published between 2020-2024. The study focuses on understanding the influence of telecommuting on productivity, employee well-being, and performance management strategies. The findings reveal that telecommuting offers benefits such as flexible working hours, improved work-life balance, and enhanced efficiency, particularly with adequate technological support. However, challenges such as limited communication, social isolation, and technostress pose significant barriers. To maximize the advantages of telecommuting, organizations need to provide proper technological infrastructure, training, and effective communication policies. A hybrid work model is recommended as a more flexible and inclusive approach to boost productivity while maintaining employee well-being. Telecommuting has the potential to become an integral part of modern, sustainable work strategies if managed with appropriate and adaptive policies that address employees’ needs.

Abstract

Efisiensi panel surya seringkali terkendala oleh posisi matahari dengan mengembangkan sistem pelacak matahari yang menggunakan RTC dan metode Naive Bayes untuk secara otomatis mengoptimalkan sudut panel, sehingga meningkatkan produksi energi. Para dosen Program Studi D3 Teknik Listrik Bandara Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang merupakan bagian dari tri dharma perguruan tinggi dengan melakukan penyuluhan energi solar sebagai sumber energi alternatif ramah lingkungan menggunakan rancang bangun kontrol monitoring implementasi real time clock (RTC) pada solar cell tracker menggunakan metode Naive Bayes berbasis Web Service. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri I Sooko Mojokerto pada tanggal 11 September 2024 dengan peserta dari siswa-siswi sebanyak 95 orang dan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa Kegiatan penyuluhan berjalan dengan lancar, ditunjukkan melalui hasil Quiz Pre-Test Kahoot yang dilakukan sebelum penyuluhan, dengan nilai rata-rata pemahaman peserta sebesar 65%. Setelah penyuluhan, nilai rata-rata pemahaman pada Quiz Post-Test Kahoot meningkat menjadi 94%. Hasil evaluasi dengan kuis Kahoot ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan pada siswa setelah menerima penyuluhan mengenai energi matahari sebagai sumber energi alternatif ramah lingkungan. Peningkatan sebesar 29% ini mengindikasikan bahwa program penyuluhan berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa SMA Negeri 1 Sooko, Mojokerto.

Abstract

Peningkatan permintaan energi listrik di Indonesia mendorong pemanfaatan energi terbarukan, khususnya energi surya pada pengembangan sistem pelacak matahari sumbu tunggal berbasis IoT untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pengumpulan energi surya. Sistem ini menggabungkan sensor cahaya, mikrokontroler, dan aktuator linear, serta menerapkan algoritma backpropagation untuk mengoptimalkan posisi panel surya berdasarkan perubahan intensitas cahaya. Para dosen Program Studi D3 Teknik Listrik Bandara Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang merupakan bagian dari tri dharma perguruan tinggi dengan melakukan penyuluhan energi solar sebagai sumber energi alternatif ramah lingkungan menggunakan rancang bangun solar tracker sumbu tunggal dengan metode Backpropagation berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri I Sooko Mojokerto pada tanggal 11 September 2024 dengan peserta dari siswa-siswi sebanyak 95 orang dan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan terlaksana dengan baik dengan memperoleh hasil Quiz Pre-Test Kahoot sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan didapatkan nilai rata-rata pemahaman sebanyak 65% kemudian setelah dilakukannya penyuluhan Quiz Post-Test Kahoot didapatkan nilai rata-rata pemahaman sebesar 88%. Berdasarkan hasil kuis sebelum dan sesudah sosialisasi, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman siswa sebesar 23% mengenai sistem solar tracker sumbu tunggal dengan metode Backpropagation berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi yang dilakukan telah mencapai tujuannya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of technology on education and the transformation of learning in the digital era. Rapid technological developments have brought significant changes to learning methods and approaches, enabling the creation of more interactive, flexible, and effective learning experiences. The research method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which was chosen because it is able to present a comprehensive and structured picture of the results of previous studies. The initial stage of the SLR method is to formulate specific research questions, such as how technology influences learning methods in the digital era, the challenges of implementing technology in education, and strategies for optimizing technology in learning. Furthermore, a literature search was conducted on leading academic databases, such as Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, and ScienceDirect, using keywords such as "technology in education," "digital learning transformation," "the influence of technology on learning," and "e-learning and online learning." The results of the study show that the implementation of technology in education has a positive impact, such as increasing interaction, flexibility, and effectiveness of learning. Technologies such as online learning platforms (LMS), multimedia, artificial intelligence, and digital collaboration tools enable independent learning and better interaction between students and teachers. However, there are challenges in implementing technology, such as the digital access gap, low digital literacy, and the risk of reduced social interaction. To overcome these challenges, it is necessary to improve digital infrastructure, digital competency training, and policies for equal access to technology. Government support and collaboration with the technology industry are essential to maximize the benefits of technology in education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify an integrative approach between technology and human insight in digital collaboration. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which allows a systematic review of related literature to understand the concepts, models, benefits, and challenges in this integration. This study focuses on three main questions: (1) how technology and human insight are combined in digital collaboration practices, (2) what technologies are commonly used, and (3) what are the benefits and obstacles in this integration. The results of the study show three main patterns of human-technology collaboration: interactive, adaptive, and limited autonomy. In the interactive pattern, humans become decision makers with the support of data-based technology. The adaptive pattern utilizes AI and machine learning that learn from human interactions, but still requires ethical supervision. Meanwhile, the limited autonomy pattern gives decision-making authority to technology in a certain scope with human control. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of human values—such as intuition, empathy, and ethics—in maintaining the effectiveness of digital collaboration. The success of this integration is also influenced by organizational culture and leadership that are adaptive to innovation and a human-centered approach

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of educational technology in the context of digital classrooms in Surabaya, focusing on the readiness of teachers and students, the challenges encountered, and the adaptation strategies employed. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis at several schools in Surabaya. The results indicate that the success of digital learning is significantly influenced by access to technology, teacher training, and adequate institutional support. Despite challenges such as the digital divide, network disruptions, and psychological barriers, teachers and students have been able to develop various learning innovations and adaptation strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This study underscores the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in creating an inclusive and sustainable digital education ecosystem. The findings have implications for the development of future education policies and digital learning practices.
