Abstract

Reading literacy is one of the most important things to improve. One of the efforts that can be done is to train students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher education study program to use big book as a medium that can improve the reading literacy skills of early grade students. Qualitative method is chosen to find out students' opinions on the use of big books for early-grade students. As many as 15 students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teacher education study program were selected to use the big book as their learning medium when they were carrying out internships at five Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the city of Medan. Each student shared their experience of using big book in the early grades of elementary school, this experience including the advantages and disadvantages of big book, their impressions, and suggestions on using Big book for early grade teachers.

Abstract

The development of SA 701, and changes to SA 700, has led to a greater emphasis on “Key Audit Matters” (HAU) in the independent auditor’s report. HAUs are the parts of the financial statements that are important and require more attention during the audit process. HAUs are considered to increase the transparency and usefulness of the auditor’s report for stakeholders, as well as assist the auditor in communicating significant risk areas during the audit. This study aims to analyse the factors that influence audit quality, earnings management practices, and the impact of HAU implementation on audit reports in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative methods with direct interview data collection with public accountants in the area around DKI Jakarta. the results of this research found that material errors are considered crucial in audit quality. HAU-related changes help to reduce errors. Views on auditor independence influenced judgements on audits and compliance with auditing standards was key.  The introduction of HAU is considered to increase transparency.

Abstract

SD Swasta Pelita merupakan Sekolah berlokasi di JL. Pasar 3B No.204 Kel. Mabar Hilir, Kec. Medan Deli. Medan-Sumatera Utara. Sekolah Dasar swasta ini adalah sekolah yang mampu memberikan pengajaran yang berkualitas, mengedepankan kedisiplinan terhadap siswa-siswi dan meningkatkan akhlak mulia agar selalu dapat berprestasi dan unggul dalam berbagai bidang. Akan tetai permaslahan utama dalam bersaing dengan kemajuan teknologi adalah salah satunya, pemahaman Bahasa Inggris dan kesulitan dalam memahami Bahasa Inggris tersebut di dalam kegiatan pengajaran maupun berkomunikasi sehari-hari. Karena masalah ini, guru-guru Sekolah Dasar dituntut untuk lebih peka terhadap kemajuan zaman termasuk penggunaan Bahasa Inggris yang senantiasa hadir menggandeng teknologi. Maka dari itu, pelatihan dan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris sederhana dirasa perlu untuk memperlengkapi para guru agar dapat menyelaraskan ilmu pengetahuannya dengan pengetahuan teknologi dan Bahasa. Program Studi Sastra Inggri Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Asing Persahabatan Internasional Asia, melalui program pengabdian masyarakat, yang dilaksanakan oleh dosen-dosennya, ingin memberikan pelatihan dasar Bahasa Inggris kepada guru-guru SD Swasta Pelita agar kelak hasil dari pelatihan ini dapat digunakan di dalam kelas dalam proses belajar mengajar, ataupun diluar kelas ketika guru dan siswa berinteraksi.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan UMKM di Desa Salenrang Kecamatan Bontoa Kabupaten Maros.mengalami masalah pemasaran. Kurangnya jaringan dan chanel akhirnya menghambat perkembangan sektor UMKM ini yang mayoritas masih dikelola dengan sederhana. Terlebih saat terjadi pandemi covid-19 menghadirkan berbagai tantangan khususnya bagi pelaku UMKM. Pergeseran pola pemasaran produk UMKM dari offline ke online nampaknya memaksa UMKM untuk dapat mengikuti perubahan tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan harapan pelaku UMKM dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan kebutuhan digitalisasi, Setelah pelatihan tentang penerapan e-Business pada pelaku UMKM di Desa Salenrang Kecamatan Bontoa Kabupaten Maros dilakukan bermanfaat bagi para pelaku UMKM dapat menerapkan e-businees untuk mempromosikan usaha UMKM dengan biaya yang terjangkau dan dapat di akses secara global.

Abstract

Within the MSME sector, home industries stand out as one of the pillars that drive the local economy. Despite their small scale, home industries have great potential to grow and contribute more to the national economy if managed with the right marketing strategy. Therefore, the main challenge is how MSMEs can convince themselves to adopt digital technology as part of their marketing strategy. Marketing is a key element in business success, including for home industry MSMEs. The purpose of this research analysis is carried out because it departs from one of the main challenges for home industry MSMEs in implementing marketing strategies is limited funds. Therefore, marketing strategies must be designed in such a way as to be effective but still cost-effective or in accordance with the capacity of the business. The research method is qualitative with the design used in this research is a descriptive method with a type of case study. The data collection technique using observation provides direct data from the field and interviews provide insight from the resource person's perspective. The results showed that Fatur Bakery has great potential by utilising strengths and overcoming weaknesses. Market opportunities can be maximised with advanced marketing strategies and improved management. Threats of competition and market changes are anticipated by innovation and rapid adaptation, increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This qualitative study explores the integration of vlogging in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms to enhance students’ speaking skills. Drawing from constructivist and communicative language teaching frameworks, the study investigates how vlogging enhances learners’ fluency, pronunciation, and speaking confidence. The study employed qualitative research design to explore how the use of vlogging as media in enhancing English speaking skills among English learners. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and analysis of student-created video blogs over a six-week period. Findings reveal that vlogging promotes learner autonomy, reduces speaking anxiety, and fosters more fluent and authentic oral communication. Abstract

This case study aims to evaluate the implementation of credit management policies, the impact of implementing credit management policies and the obstacles and problems faced by BPR X in implementing risk management policies, especially related to the Covid-19 stimulus in accordance with POJK No.48/POJK.03/2020. This study uses qualitative research methods through interviews and document analysis such as Bank Internal Policy Documents, annual reports, and financial statements. This research shows that although there are still some limitations, BPR X has implemented credit management principles that are in accordance with applicable regulations and have been included in the bank's internal policies. The implementation of these principles has had a positive impact on BPR X's financial performance during the pandemic. However, there are obstacles in the implementation of policies related to the Covid-19 stimulus, namely the mismatch between the established debtor criteria and the actual condition of the debtor during document validation. The study found that BPR X's NPL ratio increased significantly from 9.45% in 2021 to 20.35% in 2023, indicating challenges in credit quality management despite stimulus implementation.

Abstract

Disrupsi, sebuah fenomena yang melahirkan pergeseran sistem lama menjadi sistem baru memaksa masyarakat untuk “berevolusi” di berbagai aspek hidupnya, khususnya pada sektor ekonomi. Para pelaku UMKM di Kota Tuban menjadi salah satu lapisan masyarakat yang secara tidak langsung dituntut untuk beradaptasi dalam era disrupsi ini. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menjelaskan secara konseptual bagaimana disrupsi dapat mempengaruhi pola hidup bermasyarakat yang bergerak di bidang ekonomi. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberi analisis tentang literasi atau pengetahuan tentang konsep digitalisasi ekonomi yang akan menjadi relevan untuk diterapkan dalam rangka menghadapi disrupsi, khususnya UMKM di Kota Tuban.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) dominate Indonesia’s economy, contributing over 60% of GDP and employing nearly the entire labor force, yet many struggle to sustain competitiveness in turbulent markets. This study argues that entrepreneurial and marketing orientations are not mere independent predictors of performance but interdependent postures that channel entrepreneurial drive into market responsiveness and competitive advantage. Using survey data from 233 Indonesian SMEs and analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling, the results show that entrepreneurial orientation enhances both marketing orientation and competitive advantage, while marketing orientation directly drives advantage and marketing performance. Competitive advantage, in turn, serves as the critical pathway linking orientations to outcomes. The findings extend resource-based and dynamic capabilities perspectives by situating orientations as upstream enablers of advantage creation. Implications highlight the need for SME owners and policymakers to couple entrepreneurial boldness with market intelligence to achieve sustainable performance.
