Abstract

The teacher plays a crucial role in realizing the goals and performing the fundamental functions of the school institution. Highlighting the different rights but shared duties and responsibilities between civil servant teachers (PNS) and non-civil servant teachers (PPPK), this research is conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between emotional intelligence and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among PPPK teachers. The participants in this study consisted of 94 PPPK teachers located in Semarang Regency, gathered through incidental sampling techniques. Two psychological scales were employed in this research: the OCB measurement tool and the emotional intelligence measurement tool. The results of the correlational analysis using Pearson Correlation indicated a significance level of 0.00 (p<0.05), which means that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and OCB among PPPK teachers.

Abstract

Many teenagers and adults are now K-pop fans. Being a kpop fan can make someone feel happy, scared or sad. So this can affect the subjective well-being of someone who likes Kpop. This can also be caused by fans who love their idol celebrities too much to the point that fans are very obsessed with their idol celebrities or usually known as Celebrity Worship. This research was designed to determine the relationship between celebrity worship and subjective well-being among teenage K-pop fans. The approach used in this research is quantitative with a correlational and comparative design. To obtain data, this research used a sample of 55 teenagers from the Fortune Entertainment Cirebon cover dance community, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria being that the youth were 15-21 years old and were members of the Fortune Entertainment community. The results obtained in this study obtained a correlation coefficient value for the Celebrity Worship and Subjective Well Being variables of r= -0.387 with a sig value = 0.004 (p<0.05). This shows that there is a negative relationship between Celebrity Worship and Subjective Well Being. So it is hoped that individuals who like K-Pop will act naturally when they like their idol artists.

Abstract

In the current era, prosocial behavior is becoming increasingly rare and tends to become individualistic. This research aims to determine the relationship between gratitude with prosocial behavior among members of the Vespa Salatiga community. In this research, researchers used techniquesAccidental sampling for sampling members of the Vespa community in Salatiga, a total of 53 members of the Vespa Salatiga community who had been with the community for at least 3 years. The results of this study indicate a positive relationship between gratitude and prosocial behavior with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.0274 and sig of 0.256 (p<0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between the variable gratitude and prosocial behavior among members of the Vespa Salatiga community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas adversity quotient training untuk menurunkan culture shock pada mahasiswa rantau yang berkuliah di Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) tahun pertama. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa UKSW yang berasal dari luar Jawa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu voluntary sampling dengan melibatkan 12 mahasiswa luar Jawa tahun pertama UKSW. Instrumen pengambilan data menggunakan skala culture shock  yaitu ABCs of Culture Shock. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adversity quotient training terbukti efektif dalam menurunkan culture shock pada mahasiswa luar Jawa tahun pertama yang berkuliah di UKSW dengan nilai signifikansi (asymp. Sig.2-tailed) adalah 0.002, karena nilai 0.002 lebih kecil dari 0.05, maka hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu adversity quotient training efektif untuk menurunkan culture shock mahasiswa UKSW tahun pertama yang berasal dari luar Jawa. Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a potential job that still has the opportunity to be developed. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of cultural orientation and gender on entrepreneurial careers. Researchers use purposive sampling method, involving 347 Vocational High School (SMK) students consisting of 180 male students (51.87%) and 167 female students (48.12%). The researcher used the High School Student Entrepreneurial Orientation Scale and the Cultural Orientation Scale. The results of this study indicate the influence of cultural orientation on entrepreneurship in vocational students. The results also showed that there was no difference in entrepreneurial interest between male and female students. The practical implication of the results of this study is that the vertical and horizontal collective cultural orientation factors have a role in building entrepreneurial interest among teenagers.

Abstract

Teknologi dan internet telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan sehari-hari yang memfasilitasi komunikasi, pendidikan, dan hiburan. Namun penggunaan yang berlebihan dapat mengarah kepada kecenderungan kecanduan. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini yakni untuk meningkatkan pemahaman remaja di Panti Sosial tentang cara penggunaan gadget secara benar dan tepat sesuai kebutuhan. Kegiatan melibatkan 26 remaja PPSA Woro Wiloso Salatiga. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan peningkatan rerata antara sebelum (pre-test) yang menunjukkan nilai 25,88 dan setelah perlakuan diberikan (post-test) menunjukkan nilai 26,00. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan ketercapaian peningkatan pemahaman remaja tentang penggunaan gadget. Diharapkan remaja dapat mengaplikasikan perilaku penggunaan gadget secara optimal dan benar sesuai dengan kebutuhan.

Abstract

Local culture can be a way to empower the character of honesty to prevent corrupt behavior. “Tari Prajuritan” is a dance art from Banyubiru Village, Semarang Regency which has a philosophical meaning of honesty. The purpose of this activity is to increase understanding and awareness to prevent corrupt behavior based on the values of the “Tari Prajuritan”. Participants in the activity were village officials, community leaders, religious leaders, and teachers. Activities carried out using psychoeducational methods, in the form of performances of the “Tari Prajuritan”, active lectures, and discussions. The implementation of psychoeducation is carried out by prioritizing togetherness and interactive discussions with participants. Participants were enthusiastic about participating in the activity until it was finished. The results of the activity evaluation show that similar activities can be carried out again by adding more participants, likely for students in schools so that the warrior dance culture can be more popularized and benefit more widely.

Abstract

Banyubiru Village and Kemambang Village are located in Banyubiru Sub-district, Semarang Regency. Both villages have the potential for nature, arts, and village government management to become tourist villages. However, the management of the Tourism Village has not been optimized to drive the community's economy. The PkM activity aims to improve the entrepreneurial character of the Banyubiru Village Community who have entrepreneurs and managers of business units in the village. Solutions were offered through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities with Appreciative Inquiry and Psychoeducation approaches. There were 19 participants. The results of the activity showed that the participants were optimistic, happy, excited and interested in the training activities. Participants received direction to be able to realize their hopes and concrete steps to realize their entrepreneurial dreams and collaborate to build Banyubiru Tourism Village.

Abstract

Career planning for fresh graduates in addition to finding and acquiring a job can also be useful to find a job that suits their interests or fields. This study aims to find out the picture of career planning in fresh graduates have tribes Batak Toba during the pandemic. This research is a qualitative research method using descriptive phenomenological. Selection of subjects using purposive sampling techniques. Respondents to the study were two men and one woman. Data collection in this study by conducting interviews. The results of this study showed that respondents had a picture of career planning, but during the pandemic, respondents experienced a challenge and obstacles, namely, the difficulty of finding a job, the number of competitors, and family and cultural factors that became obstacles. Culturally philosophy is being taught "Anakkon Hi Do Hamoraon Di Au". The philosophy taught can motivate you to overcome the obstacles experienced when looking for a job during the Covid-19 pandemic. This philosophy is very useful and meaningful in supporting the career you have.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an effect on students which requires them to do online learning. This condition has an impact on students to carry out procrastination behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between online academic self-efficacy and procrastination behavior in students. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational design. With a sample of 266 participants who are actively studying in Salatiga, and use techniquescluster random sampling Data collection usingonline academic self-efficacy scale, and procrastination scale. The research results show that the valueRxy = -0.097 and sig.= 0.114 which meansthere is a negative relationship betweenself-efficacyonline academic and procrastination behavior in students.
