Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the inclusion and exclusion of social actors in online gambling news coverage on Kompas.com using a critical discourse analysis approach assisted by corpora. By utilizing this approach, the language patterns used in the coverage are systematically analyzed to explore how the issue of online gambling is framed by the media. The findings reveal that the coverage predominantly features the government, such as "Budi Arie", in a positive role as an active actor in the fight against online gambling (inclusion). The government is portrayed as the key and dominant force in addressing this issue. In contrast, the online gambling perpetrators and victims are more frequently ignored or concealed (exclusion). The perpetrators are depicted as destructive agents responsible for the issue, while victims are often portrayed as suffering individuals who require external intervention. The language use that emphasizes the government's role highlights efforts to reinforce their legitimacy in addressing this social problem. Thus, the analysis shows that Kompas.com's news coverage tends to present a discourse that supports the government's role in tackling online gambling, while minimizing the representation of perpetrators and victims.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the forms of language variation that emerge in TikTok live broadcasts selling thrifted (second-hand) goods, specifically clothing. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. The data source comprises several TikTok accounts that specialize in selling thrifted clothes, with the data consisting of utterances from the hosts and comments from consumers. Data was collected using a non-participatory observation method with note-taking techniques. Data analysis was conducted using the contextual method (metode padan), where language phenomena are explained by extralinguistic factors. The results of the analysis are presented informally using plain-word descriptions. The findings show that the language variations can be classified into two main forms: lexicon formation processes and brand name disguise. The lexicon formation processes include vocalic or consonantal modification, reduplication, abbreviation, and affixation. Meanwhile, brand name disguise is achieved through phonological modification and descriptions based on logo association. The emergence of this vocabulary variety serves four main functions: to comply with the platform's code of conduct, to create distinctive forms of expression, as a marketing strategy, and to build buyer commitment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze silence and slips of the tongue that occur in students' speech during the broadcasting competency test. The focus of the study is on identifying the types, characteristics, and factors that influence silence and slips of the tongue in the practice of broadcasting news. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a free-speech observation data collection technique, where researchers observe students' speech without being directly involved in the communication process. Data were obtained from videos of news broadcasting practices during the broadcasting competency test. Then, the data were analyzed using the matching method. The results of the study showed that the silence that predominantly appeared was silent pause. The identified slips of the tongue include semantic errors, syllable errors, word errors, anticipation, deletion, and spoonerism. These findings contribute to the evaluation of speaking skills learning towards understanding speech fluency disorders in an academic context and can be used as a basis for developing effective communication learning strategies for students, especially in broadcasting competency tests.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai bentuk dan makna kolokasi pada kata cinta berbasis linguistik korpus. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu simak, catat, dan dokumentasi. Dengan demikian, teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan metode agih. Sanding kata yang diambil memiliki jumlah likelihood lebih dari 900. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kolokasi pada kata cinta di korpus Leipzig Copora Collection. Kolokasi pada kata cinta di korpus Leipzig Copora Collection memiliki bentuk kanan dan kiri serta makna dalam kajian semantik. Bentuk kiri merupakan bentuk kata yang berada di sebelah kiri kata cinta. Bentuk kanan merupakan bentuk kata yang berada di sebelah kanan kata cinta. Selain itu, kata cinta memiliki sanding kata yang berhubungan dengan kata kerja, kata benda, dan kata sifat. Kolokasi pada kata cinta menggunakan korpus Leipzig Corpora Collection menjadi kebaruan pada penelitian ini karena akan menelusuri terkait bentuk kanan dan kiri serta makna yang terkandung pada penelitian kolokasi kata cinta. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi pembelajaran dalam kajian linguistik korpus khususnya pada bidang kolokasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai metafora konseptual pada kata hati yang menggunakan korpus Leipzig Corpora Collection. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan metafora konseptual pada kata hati dalam korpus bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu teknik simak, dokumentasi, dan catat. Dengan hal tersebut, teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode agih. Hasil dari penelitian ini tentang uraian data-data terkait metafora konseptual pada kata hati dalam korpus Leipzig Corpora Collection. Metafora konseptual pada penelitian ini terbagi atas tiga jenis yaitu metafora struktural, ontologis, dan orientasional. Selain itu, penelitian ini bersumber dari data yang diujarkan oleh masyarakat sehari-hari dalam menggunakan kata hati. Metafora konseptual pada kata hati menggunakan korpus Leipzig Corpora Collection menjadi kebaruan pada penelitian ini karena akan mendeskripsikan ketiga jenis metafora tersebut dalam kajian semantik bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah khazanah pengetahuan mengenai linguistik pada kajian semantik, khususnya bidang metafora konseptual dalam korpus bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesian language instruction for foreign learners (BIPA) often places strong emphasis on grammatical proficiency while overlooking sociolinguistic competence—an aspect that is crucial for effective intercultural communication. This study aims to describe the implementation of a flipped classroom model in developing pragmatic awareness and register adaptation among BIPA learners. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research involved intermediate-level BIPA students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Data were collected through oral tests, classroom recordings, in-depth interviews, and student-generated digital artifacts. The results indicate significant improvement, particularly in register adaptation and cultural expression, each showing an average gain of 15 points. Qualitatively, learners demonstrated progress in using politeness strategies and shifting speech styles more contextually. The model created a learning space that was not only reflective and participatory, but also culturally relevant. This study recommends the integration of authentic digital content and interactive practices into future BIPA curriculum design, in order to support the formation of learners who are not only fluent, but also socially and culturally sensitive in their use of the Indonesian language.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of interference that often occurs in foreign students studying Indonesian. Interference is one of the errors in language. This study aims to identify the forms of interference that appear in speech and the factors behind it. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Free Listening and Speaking (SBLC) method and open interviews with students and lecturers. The data in this study are recordings of student speech in a Speaking skills class which are analyzed using the agih method to identify the form of interference and the matching method to analyze the factors behind it. The results of the study show two forms of interference that appear in student speech in Speaking skills class, namely phonological and lexical forms. Phonological forms are divided into three categories: phoneme reduction, phoneme changes, and phoneme addition. The lexical form occurs when two languages ​​are mixed in one sentence, namely Indonesian, English, and Hindi. The factors underlying the occurrence of interference are the influence of the first language, especially on phonological forms, and the similarity of vocabulary between the students' first language and Indonesian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk, jenis, dan fungsi interjeksi yang digunakan dalam jual-beli live streaming di platform TikTok dan Shopee. Data diperoleh melalui metode deskriptif berbasis korpus digital dengan menganalisis transkrip tuturan penjual selama sesi promosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interjeksi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penanda emosi spontan, tetapi juga memainkan peran strategis dalam komunikasi digital, khususnya dalam konteks pemasaran interaktif. Berdasarkan analisis, ditemukan 25 jenis interjeksi dengan frekuensi dominan pada bentuk aja, nih, dan loh. Jenis-jenis interjeksi yang muncul meliputi ajakan, keheranan, kekaguman atau kepuasan, simpulan, dan panggilan. Sementara itu, fungsi interjeksi diklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga dimensi utama, yaitu fungsi ekspresif (mengungkapkan emosi, sikap batin, atau reaksi spontan penutur terhadap suatu peristiwa), fungsi konatif (mengajak dan mengarahkan tindakan), serta fungsi persuasif (membangun daya tarik produk dan urgensi pembelian). Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa interjeksi menjadi sarana linguistik yang efektif dalam membangun kedekatan emosional dan meningkatkan efektivitas strategi komunikasi pemasaran di era digital.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Implementasi Tes Kemampuan Akademik (TKA) sebagai instrumen asesmen nasional menuntut guru Bahasa Indonesia menguasai analisis soal berbasis literasi membaca dan mampu menyusun instrumen HOTS secara mandiri. Observasi awal menunjukkan kesenjangan pemahaman guru terhadap struktur TKA dan keterbatasan dalam mengembangkan soal prediksi yang kontekstual. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membekali guru Bahasa Indonesia dengan kemampuan menganalisis dan menyusun soal prediksi TKA yang valid dan kontekstual untuk diimplementasikan di sekolah masing-masing. Pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif diterapkan melalui pelatihan partisipatif dan iterative mentoring, yaitu pendampingan berulang yang melibatkan praktik, umpan balik, dan revisi, kepada 40 guru Bahasa Indonesia SMA di Kabupaten Brebes. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pre-test, post-test, observasi langsung, dan angket evaluasi kepuasan. Pemahaman konseptual TKA meningkat 30% dengan rerata skor post-test 4,8; sebanyak 30 guru berhasil menganalisis minimal 10 butir soal dengan klasifikasi kognitif tepat; tercipta bank soal berisi 30 butir berbasis HOTS yang siap digunakan; dan tingkat kepuasan peserta mencapai 4,9 dari skala 5,0. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan terbukti efektif dalam mempersiapkan guru menyusun soal prediksi TKA, tetapi diperlukan program lanjutan untuk menjaga konsistensi penerapan di kelas. Kata kunci: Asesmen Literasi Membaca; Pelatihan Guru; Tes Kemampuan Akademik; Soal HOTS. ABSTRACTThe implementation of the Academic Competency Test (TKA) as a national assessment instrument requires Indonesian language teachers to master literacy-based question analysis and develop HOTS instruments independently. Initial observations revealed gaps in teachers' understanding of TKA structure and limitations in developing contextual predictive questions. To equip Indonesian language teachers with the ability to analyze and construct valid and contextual TKA predictive questions for implementation in their respective schools. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through participatory training and iterative mentoring involving 40 high school teachers in Brebes. Data collection employed pre-tests, post-tests, direct observations, and satisfaction evaluation questionnaires. Conceptual understanding of TKA increased by 30% with mean post-test scores of 4.8; 30 teachers successfully analyzed at least 10 question items with accurate cognitive classification; a question bank containing 30 HOTS-based items ready for use was created; and participant satisfaction reached 4.9 on a 5.0 scale. The training and mentoring activities proved effective in preparing teachers to construct TKA predictive questions, though follow-up programs are needed to maintain consistent classroom implementation. Keywords: Reading Literacy Assessment; Teacher Training; Academic Competency Test; HOTS Questions.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Masyarakat termasuk guru masih beranggapan bahwa membawakan acara merupakan bakat bawaan yang hanya dimiliki sebagian orang. Anggapan tersebut merupakan pengingkaran dari fakta bahwa membawakan acara merupakan keterampilan yang dapat dikuasai oleh semua orang. Untuk mampu menguasai keterampilan membawakan acara, diperlukan latihan secara konsisten dan praktik langsung. Tujuan: Tujuan PkM ini ialah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membawakan acara melalui integrasi pengalaman, teori, dan praktik. Metode: Metode yang diterapkan meliputi studi kasus berbasis pengalaman, diskusi interakti, dan praktik. Hasil: Terdapat pengingkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dasar sebagai pewara pada peserta. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan dengan mengintegrasikan pengalaman, materi, dan praktik terbukti efektif dalam membantu peserta merefleksi diri dan mengembangkan keterampilan mewara. Peserta menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dasar dalam mewara, khususnya pada penyusunan rundown, pengembangan naskah acara, dan pembawaan acara.
