Abstract

This study aims to enhance the motivation and learning outcomes of high school students at SMA Negeri 7 Gorontalo for the 2022/2023 Academic Year through implementing android-based learning media on temperature and heat materials. The research method is a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The research sample consisted of 3 classes: class X IPA 2 as the experiment class and class X IPA 3, and X IPA 4 as a replica class. This research begins with preparing learning tools to implement learning media based on Android material on temperature and heat. The results of the validation show that the learning tools are valid and can be used in the learning process. Implementing the learning process in this study is in the very good category. It can increase student motivation and learning outcomes, where the N-Gain scores for the experimental and replica classes are in the high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on matrix material through the application of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT). The subjects of this study were 23 students of class XI IPA-2 SMA Negeri 7 Prasetya Gorontalo in the academic year 2022/2023. Data collection techniques consisted of observation and tests. The research instrument is in the form of teacher and student activity observation sheets and tests in the form of description questions. This research is a Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model with planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data analysis techniques in this study consisted of data analysis of observation results and analysis of learning outcomes tests. The results showed that in cycle 1, the average observation of teacher activities that obtained at least good criteria was 81.25%, the average observation of student activities that obtained at least active criteria was 71.43%, the percentage of completeness of students' math learning outcomes was 60.87%. Because cycle 1 has not yet reached the action success indicator, the research continued to cycle 2. In cycle 2, the percentage of teacher activity observation results that obtained at least good criteria was 100%, the percentage of student activity observation results that obtained at least active criteria was 92.86%, and the percentage of completeness of students' mathematics learning outcomes was 91.30%. From the results of cycle 2, it is concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type NHT can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on matrix material.

Abstract

The application of technology can make it easier to understand and solve mathematical problems. Therefore, there is a need to integrate technology in mathematics learning. Technology can act as a learning medium. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using information technology-based learning media in mathematics learning to improve numeracy literacy in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The indicators used to determine the effectiveness of learning are the teacher's ability to manage learning, student learning activities, and student numeracy literacy test results. Based on the research results, it was found that the teacher's ability to manage student learning and activities was categorized as effective, and the results of the students' numeracy literacy tests were classically complete. Thus, information technology-based learning is effective in increasing students' numeracy literacy at SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo.

Abstract

One learning media that can be applied in the learning process is 3D Pageflip Professional. 3D Pageflip Professional is a leading application software for creating e-books, digital magazines, e-papers, and others. This research aims to describe the effect of using 3D Pageflip Professional learning media on vibration and wave material at SMP Negeri 1 Telaga Jaya. This research uses a valid experimental method with a posttest-only control design. The sampling technique in this research was random sampling. The sample for this research was class VIII students divided into two classes, namely the experimental class is class VIII-1, and the control class is class VIII-2. This research uses quantitative descriptive data analysis. The research showed that the average percentage of cognitive level scores for student learning outcomes in classes using 3D Pageflip Professional learning media reached 81.30% (very high). In types using PowerPoint media, it reached 78.33% (high). Likewise, the results of classical completion in learning activities were 92% in the experimental class and 85% in the control class. These values ​​show that the 3D Pageflip Professional learning media influences the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Telaga Jaya, especially on vibration and wave material.

Abstract

This research is a development research (Research and Development) which aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of developing a Project Based Learning (PjBL) science learning module on additives and addictive substances. This research uses the ADDIE model up to the stage (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) and was tested in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Telaga Biru with a one group pre test-post test design. The results showed that: (1) The developed module obtained an average of 3.66 with a valid category obtained through the validity test; (2) The developed module is practical as indicated by the learning is very well implemented with an average percentage of 92% and students state that the learning process using the Project Based Learning-based Science learning module is practical to be applied in the classroom; (3) The developed module is effective as indicated by students who are active in learning for three meetings with an average percentage of 85% (good category), the increase in student learning outcomes for the cognitive domain reaches an N-gain value of 0.71 including in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning module developed is of high quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Problem-Solving learning model on students' Creative Thinking Ability with Number Patterns. This study involved 40 students as the research sample consisted of two classes, every 20 students in class A and 20 students in class B. The research method used was Experimental research with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The data collection technique was obtained through the pre-test and post-test results, and the data analysis technique used the covariance analysis test. The analysis results show that the creative thinking ability of students who are taught using the Problem-Solving model is better than the creative thinking skills of students trained using the direct learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat peningakatan hasil belajar matematis siswa dalam materi operasi bentuk aljabar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus dan menggunakan  model pembelajaran problem based learning. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Kabila. Instrumen digunakan untuk penelitian ini yaitu lembar obesrvasi kegiatan guru dan  siswa, serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematis siswa meningkat setiap siklusnya. Hasil observasi observasi guru  siklus I 75,16% meningkat 93,33% di siklus II. Hasil observasi siswa siklus I 70,83% meningkat 91,66% pada siklus II. Selanjutnya, Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I dari 67,86% meningkat 89,29%. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar matematis siswa.

Abstract

Penyelesaian luas bangun datar segi empat cendrung hanya mengandalkan kemampuan menghafal siswa dan dalam penyempaianya masih bersifat satu arah serta belum memuat penyampaian konsep luas bangun datar segi empat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berorientasi pada konsep luas bangun datar segi empat kelas VII SMP melalui tahapan pengembangan model Borg and Gall dengan tujuan dapat menyelesaiakan masalah tersebut. Melalui tahapan Borg and Gall dihasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif dengan hasil analisis pada tahap uji ahli dengan hasil validasi ahli media dan ahli materi memperoleh rata-rata persentase berturut turut 84,8% dan 96% yang dikategorikan “sangat layak”. Selanjutnya dari hasil uji coba skala kecil diperoleh persentase 83% kriteria sangat baik. Selanjutnya pada tahap uji coba lapangan utama diperoleh dari hasil guru dan siswa dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 96% dan 91% yang dikategorikan sangat baik, pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji keefektifan media berdasarkan penyelesaian quiz dengan rata rata yang diperoleh siswa yaitu 88,7% sehingga media pembelajaran dalam penelitian  ini dikatakan layak dari segi kevalidan, keprektisan dan keefektifan untuk dapat diimplementasikan atau digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas. harus jelas, ringkas, dan deskriptif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV) melalui soal tipe Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS). Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo Utara pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X dengan jumlah siswa 29 orang dan seorang guru matematika. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi dan tes dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi kegiatan guru, lembar observasi kegiatan siswa dan tes essay. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama 2 siklus. Hasil pengamatan kegiatan guru meningkat dari 63,34 % menjadi 83,33 % dalam kategori baik dan sangat baik. Selanjutnya hasil pengamatan kegiatan siswa meningkat dari 57,15 % menjadi 82,15 % dalam kategori baik dan sangat baik. Hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dari 58,6 % menjadi 86,2 %. Dari penelitian diatas terdapat manfaat dalam mengaplikasikan soal tipe Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) ialah bisa meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dan daya tangkapnya dalam  mempelajari matematika.

Abstract

This study is a development study that uses the 4-D model (define, design, develop, desiminate). Where the results of this study are learning media that can help students understand the material, especially on reflection material. The media developed is Canva media which has passed the validation stage of the readability test and the product cona test until Canva media can be said to be feasible as a learning media that can be distributed to students. The research location is SMP Negeri 1 Telaga Biru, where this media was developed there due to the lack of limited use of learning media and students tend to be taught using books in the absence of other learning resources. This attracted researchers to conduct research at the school. based on the results of the study, the Canva reflection media that has been developed gets a positive response from teachers and students with a teacher response of 100% and students 95%
