Abstract

This research is a development research (Research and Development) which aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of developing a Project Based Learning (PjBL) science learning module on additives and addictive substances. This research uses the ADDIE model up to the stage (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) and was tested in class VIII SMP Negeri 7 Telaga Biru with a one group pre test-post test design. The results showed that: (1) The developed module obtained an average of 3.66 with a valid category obtained through the validity test; (2) The developed module is practical as indicated by the learning is very well implemented with an average percentage of 92% and students state that the learning process using the Project Based Learning-based Science learning module is practical to be applied in the classroom; (3) The developed module is effective as indicated by students who are active in learning for three meetings with an average percentage of 85% (good category), the increase in student learning outcomes for the cognitive domain reaches an N-gain value of 0.71 including in the high category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning module developed is of high quality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on matrix material through the application of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT). The subjects of this study were 23 students of class XI IPA-2 SMA Negeri 7 Prasetya Gorontalo in the academic year 2022/2023. Data collection techniques consisted of observation and tests. The research instrument is in the form of teacher and student activity observation sheets and tests in the form of description questions. This research is a Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model with planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data analysis techniques in this study consisted of data analysis of observation results and analysis of learning outcomes tests. The results showed that in cycle 1, the average observation of teacher activities that obtained at least good criteria was 81.25%, the average observation of student activities that obtained at least active criteria was 71.43%, the percentage of completeness of students' math learning outcomes was 60.87%. Because cycle 1 has not yet reached the action success indicator, the research continued to cycle 2. In cycle 2, the percentage of teacher activity observation results that obtained at least good criteria was 100%, the percentage of student activity observation results that obtained at least active criteria was 92.86%, and the percentage of completeness of students' mathematics learning outcomes was 91.30%. From the results of cycle 2, it is concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type NHT can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on matrix material.

Abstract

The application of technology can make it easier to understand and solve mathematical problems. Therefore, there is a need to integrate technology in mathematics learning. Technology can act as a learning medium. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using information technology-based learning media in mathematics learning to improve numeracy literacy in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The indicators used to determine the effectiveness of learning are the teacher's ability to manage learning, student learning activities, and student numeracy literacy test results. Based on the research results, it was found that the teacher's ability to manage student learning and activities was categorized as effective, and the results of the students' numeracy literacy tests were classically complete. Thus, information technology-based learning is effective in increasing students' numeracy literacy at SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi segi empat berdasarkan indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1 MTs. Nurul Bahri Kabila Bone. Pengambilan data dimulai dengan memberikan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan dilanjutkan dengan wawancara Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Subjek dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu memahami masalah, menyusun rencana, dan memeriksa jawaban dengan cermat. Namun, mereka terkadang kurang lengkap dalam mencatat informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan. Secara keseluruhan, mereka menunjukkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang sangat baik. Subjek dengan kemampuan sedang dapat memahami masalah dan merencanakan solusi dengan baik, tetapi seringkali kurang lengkap dalam menyusun model matematika dan langkah-langkah penyelesaian. Mereka juga kesulitan memeriksa hasil pada soal yang lebih kompleks. Subjek dengan kemampuan rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami soal, menyusun rencana pemecahan, dan melakukan perhitungan dengan tepat. Banyak langkah yang terlewat, dan mereka kesulitan memahami konsep matematika dasar. Dengan demikian bahwa tingkat kemampuan seseorang memengaruhi kualitas pemecahan masalah matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran proporsional siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah perbandingan langsung dan terbalik yang ditinjau dari gaya belajar lapangan independen (FI). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes penalaran proporsional dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah enam siswa kelas tujuh SMP Negeri 1 Botupinge tahun ajaran 2025/2026, yang dipilih secara purposif berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah serta memiliki kecenderungan gaya belajar FI. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan memperhatikan indikator pemahaman kovariasi, pemikiran relatif, dan penyediaan penalaran konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi menunjukkan penalaran proporsional yang kuat dan konsisten di hampir semua indikator. Siswa dengan kemampuan sedang mampu menyelesaikan masalah secara prosedural, tetapi pemahaman konseptual mereka belum stabil. Sementara itu, siswa dengan kemampuan rendah belum menguasai penalaran proporsional dan cenderung menyelesaikan masalah secara mekanis tanpa memahami hubungan antar besaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan independensi bidang berkaitan dengan variasi kemampuan penalaran proporsional siswa, dan siswa dengan kemampuan sedang dan rendah membutuhkan intervensi pembelajaran yang lebih terstruktur.
