Abstract

TikTok is an audiovisual media that spreads various creativities and uniqueness, allowing for voice recording, adding background sound, videos, and collaborations. The phenomenon is nothing but a fact realized and entered into human understanding. Phenomenology aims to study how phenomena are experienced in consciousness, thoughts, and actions, such as how the phenomena are valued or accepted ethnically, because the phenomenon itself is nothing but a fact realized and entered into human understanding. The TikTok cultural phenomenon as a new form of communication among teenagers illustrates significant changes in how teenagers interact, express themselves, and shape their identities in the digital era. Through a phenomenological approach, the research results show that TikTok users vary greatly, including creative expression, entertainment, social interaction, popularity achievement, and education. TikTok users' actions include content creation and consumption, social interactions, participation in trends, and information seeking. There is a need to delve deeper into how TikTok users perceive and interpret experiences through modifying categories based on the findings of each in-depth study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana jaringan komunikasi organisasi dalam koordinasi pelaksanaan operasi pencarian dan pertolongan oleh Basarnas Provinsi Bengkulu.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori jaringan komunikasi organisasi menurut Liliweri (2015:98). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara 3 orang informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jaringan komunikasi organisasi dalam koordinasi pelaksanaan operasi pencairan dan pertolongan oleh Basarnas Provinsi Bengkulu sudah berjalan dengan baik dengan menerapkan jaringan komunikasi pola bintang yang terlihat dari: 1) Jaringan komunikasi terbentuk untuk mengkoordinir kegiatan telah dilaksanakan dengan prosedur yang ada yaitu menerima laporan dari korban dan setelah dipastikan laporan valid maka pimpinan akan langsung memberikan perintah kepada Tim SAR untuk melakukan pertolongan. 2) Hubungan komunikasi langsung antara atasan dengan bawahan memungkinkan umpan balik lebih cepat telah dilaksanakan dengan baik karena setelah mendapatkan informasi seluruh tim akan langsung melaksanakan tugas sesuai dengan tugasnya masing-masing. 3) Jaringan komunikasi membuat efisiensi, jaringan komunikasi yang dilakukan di Basarnas Provinsi Bengkulu telah dilaksanakan secara formal agar semua pekerjaan dapat dilaksanakan lebih cepat dan efektif. 4) Jaringan komunikasi menekankan dukungan penuh pemimpin sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik karena seluruh pekerjaan di lapangan dilakukan berdasarkan instruksi atasan dan koordinasi antara sesama anggota tim.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of family communication in improving the psychological well-being of adolescents in broken home families. This research is a qualitative research using the triangulation method, namely observation, documentation and interviews as well as literature studies. This type of research is field research which means that the researcher observes directly to the field to get maximum results. Family communication is analyzed as factors that affect the psychological well-being of adolescents. The results of the study show that the role of family communication has not been applied massively by parents to adolescents affected after the divorce of their parents, giving rise to the term broken home, which is a family in which there is no peace, prosperity and disharmony. Family communication in broken home families shows a bad parental self-image for children because parents do not put themselves like parents to children who need guidance after divorce. So that the psychological atmosphere in children is disturbed such as feeling afraid, depressed and not expressive. In families that are broken home, there is a parental communication style that changes to be more aggressive towards children. This is because the way parents lead their children is not done as they should and parents think too much about their own feelings, so that children feel uncaring and more comfortable outside the home. The language ethics used by parents when talking to children have changed. Parents use word choices and body gestures that make children feel pressured so that children keep their distance from their parents because they think that parents are no longer a safe place.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the coping skills used by informatics students in thesis guidance. The research method used was a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interview techniques with four students who were active in thesis guidance and two thesis supervisors as sources of information in the research. The theory used is the stress coping theory from Lazarus & Folkman 1984. The results of the research show that informatics students of the Informatics Study Program are more likely to focus on problems (problem-focused coping) such as preparing a regular work schedule, discussing with seniors or friends, fighting feeling lazy, and looking for additional references from previous research journals or websites that support learning, because not all Informatics students have the ability to manage emotions (emotion-focused coping) such as seeking support from friends and family, not easily getting emotional when the lecturer is angry when don't reply to chats, be patient, don't panic, don't give up easily trying to carry out guidance and remain enthusiastic especially when experiencing pressure during thesis guidance.

Abstract

Film is a powerful artistic medium in society, serving as a source of entertainment, education, and shaping social perspectives through audio-visual experiences. *A Little Thing Called Love*, a Thai film directed by Puttipong Pormsaka Na-Sakonnakorn and Wasin Pokpong, tells the story of a girl named Nam who struggles to gain the attention of Shone, the popular student at her school. The film highlights issues of racism and beauty standards. This study aims to explore the racist actions depicted in the Thai film *A Little Thing Called Love*. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation and documentation. The theoretical framework employed is Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis, which is used to examine the representation of racism and beauty standards in the film, particularly through denotation, connotation, and myth as reflected in the characters and storyline. The findings of this study indicate that *A Little Thing Called Love* delivers layered messages through semiotic analysis at the denotative, connotative, and mythic levels. Dialogues like "Dasar Hitam!" at 06:51 reflect racial bias and social pressure regarding beauty standards, impacting Nam's self-esteem. At 35:15, the dialogue "Mereka semua jelek" highlights the social grouping dynamics based on appearance, while the dialogue at 35:57, "Jika tidak yakin kalau cantik, bisa ke klub yang lain," emphasizes expectations regarding physical beauty. The climax at 1:51:56 portrays Nam’s transformation into a confident individual, conveying the message that a person’s worth lies in their achievements and self-confidence, not just their appearance

Abstract

Competition among media is becoming increasingly fierce. An optimal business communication strategy is needed to grow and maintain existence. The purpose of this research is to understand the business strategies implemented by Tribunbengkulu.com, which is one of the local online media outlets in Bengkulu Province. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used for analysis is the POAC theory. (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling). The research results show that the business strategy implemented by Tribunbengkulu.com is by strengthening the internal team and expanding the network of clients and readers in Bengkulu Province. (eksternal). Business communication at Tribunbengkulu.com has been going well, as it has positively impacted business revenue growth from 2022 to November 2024. To support the achievement, Tribunbengkulu.com has implemented the POAC model. At the planning stage, the business communication applied involves establishing internal communication strategies, as well as conducting external communication with advertising clients. At the organizing stage, the organization of communication at TribunBengkulu.com is evident from the clear hierarchy of task distribution instructions for each team, supported by adequate equipment resources. Internal communication is organized through faceto-face meetings or using applications that support real-time coordination among team members. Meanwhile, external communication is organized through business teams to manage interactions with advertising clients and editorial teams with the audience, ensuring that the messages conveyed are consistent. At the implementation stage (acting) at TribunBengkulu.com, it involves executing business communication plans, such as news publication, content production, content uploading, monitoring responses to reader comments, and handling advertising client needs. Internally, the implementation is carried out through team assignments. Externally, the implementation includes news promotion activities on social media, audience engagement management, and client services. Control is carried out through monitoring the content that has been produced and uploaded. TribunBengkulu.com uses analytics data to measure audience engagement on social media and the satisfaction level of advertising clients. At the internal level, feedback from employees and weekly or monthly performance reviews are used to assess the effectiveness of communication and make improvements if necessary. .

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the semiotic meaning of the lyrics of the song "Last Roar", what forms of social criticism are found in the song and finding out how music can be used as a medium for social criticism. The theories used in this research are music and songs, Roland Barthes' semiotics and social criticism and use qualitative research methods. The results of the research can be concluded that the form of social criticism in the song "Last Roar" by Tuan Tiga Belas can be concluded as a form of protest song. Mr. Thirteen expressed criticism of the government and the condition of Sumatran tigers and forests in Indonesia. Through this song, Tuan Tigabelas also calls on all Indonesian people to continue to protect and care about Indonesia's natural balance. .

Abstract

Marketplace is a platform that facilitates online business transactions such as buying and selling goods or services online between sellers and buyers. This study aims to determine the Shopee Marketplace as a marketing communication medium for Fajri Craft Shop. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Based on the theory used is integrated marketing communication (IMC) according to Kotller and Armstrong. The results of this study found that. First, advertising, Fajri Craft Shop utilizes the Sponsored Ads feature discount and promo features, such as flash sales, cashback and free shipping to attract more buyers. Second, sales promotion, Fajri Craft Shop uses promotional strategies such as big discounts, vouchers, free shipping, and bundling which are considered very effective in attracting buyers and increasing sales. Third, public relations, Fajri Craft Shop’s relationship with customers shows that the communication approach that focuses on active and responsive interaction, this reflects an excellent strategy in building strong and positive relationships with customers. Fourth, personal selling, in making sales, Fajri Craft Shop cooperates with influencers and affiliates. Fifth, direct marketing, the direct marketing strategy implemented by Fajri Craft Shop in the marketplace is very effective in attracting customer attention, namely by utilizing advertising features, participating in promotions, creating quality content, and providing responsive customer service Thus, an integrated marketing communication (IMC) strategy can be an effective step in utilizing the shopee marketplace as a marketing communication medium..

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the business world. Social media as a digital technology product has become a very effective tool in supporting promotional activities for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). With the number of users continuing to increase, social media offers ample opportunities to introduce products and services to a wider market at relatively low costs. The community in RT 24 Pematang District, Governor of Bengkulu City, mostly consists of small business actors engaged in the trade and service sectors. However, they face various problems, such as limited knowledge about the use of digital marketing and lack of access to training in using social media. This causes the potential of social media to be less than optimal as a promotional tool, resulting in stagnant business development. This activity aims to provide solutions to the problems faced by MSMEs, carried out by the Thematic KKN team at RT 24 through a more comprehensive approach. The focus is on implementing social media-based digital marketing that is tailored to local needs, as well as introducing appropriate technology that can support business sustainability. It is hoped that the results of this activity will not only provide practical benefits for business actors, but also become a reference for developing similar programs in other regions.

Abstract

Social media-based campaings have become one of the effective strategies to raise students awareness of social issues, such as mental health, digital literacy, and environmental concerns. This study aims to educate students of SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bengkulu on utilizing social media positively through educational programs and social campaings conducted as part og the Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKNT) program by Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu. The methods employed in this research indclude an initial survey to understand students needs, training sessions to enhance an initial survey to understand students needs, training sessions to enhance their skills, production of educational content, publications through social media platforms, and evalution to measrue the effectiveness of the activities. The results indicate an improvementin students understanding of the concept of digital social campaigns and their creativity in producing educational content. Additionally, the students showed enthusiasm in disseminating positive messages via social media. Based on these findings, this study recommends strengthening digital literacy programs in schools to support the sustainability of social media-based campaigns. Thus, students can transform from passive consumers to active producers of content that positively contributes to their social environment.
