Abstract

Islamic banking financing is carried out into three categories, namely financing based on economic sectors, financing based on contracts, and financing based on types of use. The funding is faced with risks where the customer is unable to pay the loan. This study discusses the forecasting of Islamic banking problem financing in Indonesia using monthly data from 2003 to 2019. Prediction is made using the Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity-Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH-GARCH) method. Forecasting from the results of this study shows that non-performing financing tends to decrease in Indonesia. Islamic banking has been able to manage problem financing well. Islamic banking financing should be focused on sectors that have low risk. The results of this study are undoubtedly useful for stakeholders to make policies to improve the quality of the funding.

Abstract

The stock market has a strategic role in the development of a country's economy in the era of globalization, including the Islamic stock market. The rapid growth of the Islamic stock market, especially in developing countries, is a historical record in Indonesia's financial sector. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the return of the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) in the short and long term, how long shocks occur, and how much the contribution of these factors. This study uses monthly time series data from January 2012 to December 2019 using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. VECM estimation results show the price of gold has a significant effect on the short and long term, while inflation has an impact on a long time. ISSI's return quickly reaches stability when it receives a shock from the exchange rate. The price of gold dominates the diversity of ISSI's performances. Stakeholders should consider several things that affect the ISSI return, pay attention to the economic climate, and anticipate quickly the shock that occurs.

Abstract

Along with the large number of investors transacting on Islamic stocks, the movement of stock prices becomes more volatile. The purpose of this research is to examine the behavior of volatility patterns in shares incorporated in the Jakarta Islamic Index using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model. This study uses daily data from six stocks contained in the Jakarta Islamic Index during the period January 1, 2009, to December 31, 2019. Data volatility is seen using the GARCH model. Estimation results for daily data show that the volatility of ASII, SMGR, TLKM, UNTR, and UNVR shares is influenced by the error and return volatility of the previous day. This is indicated by the GARCH effect on each regression result. The results of the study are beneficial for an investor, and if you want to invest with a low level of risk, you can choose TLKM shares. But if you're going to get a high level of return, you can invest in UNTR shares. For securities analysis, you can use the GARCH model that has been tested to predict volatility in the Jakarta Islamic Index.

Abstract

The stock market is continuously changing with uncertainties that can create risks. Prompt information dissemination and rapid capital flow will cause stock price fluctuations, causing volatility in stock prices. This research examines the behavior of volatility patterns in the infrastructure, utility, and transportation sectors using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (GARCH) model. This study uses monthly data from January 2014 to December 2019. The results show that the volatility of all stocks in the study is influenced by the previous month's error and volatility return. Investors and securities analysis can use these results in making decisions to invest in the infrastructure, utilities, and transportation sectors.

Abstract

Purpose – Businesses are required to be able to present evidence of successful financial performance. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between specific financial ratios and the stock market performance of corporations in the infrastructure, utility, and transportation sectors. Methodology – This study employs panel data regression with quarterly reports from 6 companies from 2015 to 2020. Variables such as stock prices, total asset turnover, the debt to equity ratio, the return on assets, the price to book value, the size of the firm, and the current ratio are analyzed. Findings – Total asset turnover was found to have little effect on stock prices compared to other metrics such as the current ratio, firm size, price to book value, return on assets, and debt to equity ratio. It is imperative that businesses pay attention to the ratio indicators that persistently impact stock prices. Large swings in financial ratios are associated with an increased risk as well as a decline in public trust. Originality – This study extends the scope of previous research by extending the fundamental factors that are not only centered on liquidity, solvency, and profitability, but also with new variations, specifically the ratio of total asset turnover and price to book value. Additionally, this study adds new information to the fundamental factors that are not only centered on liquidity, solvency, and profitability.

Abstract

Financial scandals often occur in the business world, and many cases such as KKN (corruption, collusion, and nepotism), manipulation of financial reports, and money laundering often occur. These various kinds of issues are very good and very interesting to discuss because there are many ways that actors use to provide information that is made up of neat schemes but end up committing fraud to various parties. The purpose of this research was to find out the role of forensic accounting and investigative auditing in finding and detecting fraud through a literature review. The research process was carried out in an observational and exploratory manner using the literature review method. The population in this study is all research and studies related to the field of forensic accounting and investigative auditing in detecting fraud or fraud. The results of the study found that forensic accounting and investigative auditing are collaborative and proven in fraud detection. An investigative audit seeks to detect and reveal fraud, while forensic accounting can be a valid means of evidence in legal and litigation processes that have reached the court and trial stages in the process of disclosing fraud.
