Abstract

Teachers' ability to develop digital learning media is a crucial factor in supporting successful learning, along with the advancement of technology and information. However, the integration of digital literacy into learning is still rarely implemented, especially in elementary schools. Interviews with teachers at SDN Siwal revealed that few teachers use digital learning media, including Canva. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve teachers' pedagogical skills by developing Canva-based digital learning media to optimize the integration of digital literacy into learning. This activity was conducted at SDN Siwal, Sukoharjo. The method used is a collaborative approach. The methods used are training that includes: brainstorming methods, expert presentations, discussions, assignments, dissemination, and mentoring. This community service activity consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and program evaluation. The results of this activity show an increase in teacher understanding in developing Canva-based learning media, as indicated by an increase in the average score of participants from the pre-test to the post-test. Furthermore, better changes can also be seen in the results of the participants' work. The results of this activity also demonstrate that in developing Canva-based digital learning media, teachers need to adapt to learning needs to achieve learning objectives. Based on the results of this community service activity, it can be concluded that training and mentoring for teachers in developing digital learning media can be an effort to improve digital literacy skills, which include the ability to use technology critically, ethically, and creatively for teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of digital literacy of elementary school teachers, especially in the technological dimension. Based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, article 20 verse 2, teachers are required to be able to use technology. However, in reality, many teachers still have a low ability in using technology. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were teachers of grades 1 to 6 coming from six different elementary schools. The classroom teacher's digital literacy level was measured using a test technique. The results of the study showed that teachers of grade 1, grade 2, grade 3, and grade 4 had low digital literacy categories, while teachers of grade 5 had moderate digital literacy categories, and teachers of grade 6 had a very low category of digital literacy. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is no equality in the digital literacy abilities of classroom teachers in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study focuses on self-regulated learning (SRL), a process in which individuals actively control their learning process through planning, monitoring, and self-evaluation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of SRL in the Surakarta Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program. The method used was a survey. The population in this study consisted of students from the Elementary School Teacher Education (ESTE) Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, UNS Surakarta. The sample comprised 105 students. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire encompassing aspects of metacognition, motivation, and behavior. The data analysis technique employed descriptive statistics. The results showed that the level of SRL of Surakarta Elementary School Teacher Education students was in the moderate category. Although students have demonstrated adequate SRL abilities, several aspects still need to be improved, especially in terms of time management and learning strategies. This shows that although students have managed their learning quite well, there is still room for improvement in these aspects. These findings provide valuable insights for curriculum development and teaching strategies in the Surakarta Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program. By understanding weaknesses in time management and learning strategies, curriculum development and teaching methods can be focused on these areas to further support the improvement of students' SRL, thereby improving the effectiveness of their learning and academic outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to overcome the initial reading difficulties of grade II students of SDN Karangasem 4 Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year by using  letter and word card media. This study is a type of Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles, with two meetings in cycle I and one meeting cycle II. The sources of research data include the use of letter and word card media by teachers and aspects of students’ initial reading abilities. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, performance tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of letter and word card media can overcome students’ initial reading difficulties. The average reading ability at the first meeting of cycle I reached 73.8, at the second meeting of cycle I it reached 81.4, and in cycle II it increased to 84.5. This study concludes that the use of letter and word card media cand overcome the initial reading difficulties of grade II students of SDN Karangasem 4 Surakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to improve conceptual understanding of geguritan material for fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kepyar by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach. Students' conceptual understanding ability is important to achieve learning objectives and improve the quality of learning. This study was conducted using a collaborative classroom action research (CAR) method. The results showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach to geguritan material significantly improved students' conceptual understanding, with an increase in the average value from cycle I = 53.4 to cycle II = 71.9. The percentage of classical completeness also increased from 20% to 86.7%. This study contributes to the development of more innovative learning models and approaches, with the hope that the use of technology can improve students' conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Self Regulated Learning (SRL) adalah kemampuan individu untuk secara proaktif mengelola pembelajaran mereka melalui perencanaan, pemantauan, dan evaluasi diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat SRL di Sekolah Dasar Indonesia Bangkok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan instrumen kuesioner yang diisi oleh 100 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat SRL siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan beberapa aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan, seperti manajemen waktu dan strategi belajar. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pengembangan strategi pengajaran yang dapat mendukung peningkatan SRL siswa di sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe with the implementation of the project-based learning model in improving the learning outcomes of science and science in grade IV in elementary school. The research subjects consisted of 11 female students and 5 male students along with grade IV teachers in elementary schools. Data collection techniques with written tests of cognitive multiple-choice questions (summative assessment at the end of learning), observation (learning activities), documentation (photos of evidence of learning activities in the implementation of PTK), and interviews (in-depth interviews with teachers and students). Data analysis techniques by combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The interactive data analysis technique consists of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the study show that the learning outcomes of social studies in grade IV in elementary schools can be improved by the implementation of the project-based learning model. Research data shows that there is an increase of 44%, from the initial 44% to 88%. The science and technology subject matter used for research is about local wisdom.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the implementation of Pancasila Education learning using Canva-based deep learning media to foster independence among second grade elementary school students. The research employed a qualitative descriptive case study approach, with data collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The findings showed that the integration of Canva media, encouraged students to engage more actively in classroom activities, with 81.5% of students showing positive responses. The media supported students in completing self-directed tasks and enhanced their sense of responsibility and self-evaluation. Overall, the use of Canva proved to be effective in promoting student independence in elementary education.

Abstract

Keterampilan komunikasi lisan peserta didik di sekolah dasar belum maksimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tentang: 1) modul pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan pendidik untuk meningatkan kemampuan komunikasi lisan peserta didik sekolah dasar, 2) modul pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi lisan peserta didik sekolah dasar. Subjek dari penelitian ini peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar yang mengalami kesulitan komunikasi lisan dan objek penelitian ini adalah modul pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik sangat tertarik dengan modul pembelajaran ini. modul pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi lisan peserta didik sekolah dasar selain itu, validasi materi dan media pembelajaran juga menyatakan bahwa modul ini sangat sesuai dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran peserta didik. oleh karena itu, modul pembelajaran ini dianggap sangat menarik dan efektif untuk digunakan. penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diteruskan dengan penambahan materi pada modul pembelajaran dan implementasnya dalam proses pemebelajaran lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Penting bagi pendidik menanamkan konsep yang benar pada siswa, sebab konsep yang diajarkan di Sekolah Dasar akan menjadi dasar pemikiran bagi siswa dan itu akan mendasari pemikiran siswa pada jenjang selanjutnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis miskonsepsi yang dialami peserta didik kelas VI di Kecamatan Pilangkenceng, Kabupaten Madiun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari peserta didik kelas VI di Kecamatan Pilangkenceng, dengan sampel sebanyak 100 peserta didik yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan non-tes. Tes dilakukan menggunakan instrumen diagnostik yang dilengkapi dengan CRI (Certainty of Response Index) untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi, sedangkan non-tes menggunakan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif persentase. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 45% peserta didik mengalami miskonsepsi mengenai konsep adaptasi makhluk hidup. Persentase miskonsepsi tertinggi terdapat pada subkonsep adaptasi tumbuhan xerofi sebesar 65%, sedangkan persentase terendah pada subkonsep adaptasi kantong semar sebesar 10%. Faktor utama penyebab miskonsepsi ini berasal dari pemikiran peserta didik  dan berbagai macam sumber belajar. Peran pendidik dalam memberikan pemahaman konsep yang benar sejak dini untuk mencegah terjadinya miskonsepsi yang dapat berlanjut ke jenjang pendidikan berikutnya. Upaya perbaikan dalam strategi pembelajaran dan penyediaan sumber belajar yang valid sangat diperlukan untuk mengurangi tingkat miskonsepsi di kalangan peserta didik.
