Abstract

This study examines Generation Z’s perspective on tahlilan within cultural diversity and Islamic teachings. Growing up in the digital era, they have broad access to religious information, leading to varied views. Some see tahlilan as cultural heritage, while others question its accordance with Islamic law. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach, data was gathered through interviews with Generation Z students at the University of Education Indonesia. The study explores their interpretation of tahlilan from both cultural and religious aspects. The findings reveal diverse opinions some view tahlilan as a non-obligatory tradition, while others see it as an act of worship due to its inclusion of prayer and dhikr. Additionally, tahlilan is regarded as a means to strengthen social bonds. This research highlights the evolving perception of religious traditions among younger generations. It provides insights for religious leaders to develop more relevant da’wah approaches and helps academics study the intersection of culture and Islam in the digital era.

Abstract

The study analyzes the influence of Islamic politics on women’s participation in student leadership. This issue is crucial because, although Islam provides space for women to engage in leadership, social and cultural barriers still limit their involvement.This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing semi-structured interviews with students and literature analysis from various scholarly sources. The findings indicate that an inclusive interpretation of Islamic politics can encourage women’s participation in student organizations, whereas more conservative understandings tend to be obstacles. Other factors, such as gender stereotypes, social norms, and cultural expectations, also play a role in shaping the dynamics of women’s leadership in academic environments. These findings highlight the need for a fair and contextual approach to understanding women’s roles in leadership. Affirmative policies, academic support, and leadership training programs can help increase women’s involvement in student organizations, fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter sejak usia dini dengan konsistensi dan memiliki potensi untuk menjadi bagian tak terpisahkan dari individu saat dewasa. Menanamkan kebiasaan positif sejak usia dini merupakan langkah penting dalam memaksimalkan pendidikan karakter, dengan melibatkan semua elemen sekolah dalam memupuk nilai-nilai baik pada peserta didik. Tingkat satuan pendidikan termasuk sekolah dasar, pendidikan karakter dilaksanakan berdasarkan penentuan prioritas pengembangan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk menganalisis pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter Pelajar Pancasila berbasis Daarul Qur’an Method dalam Intrakurikuler sekolah. Jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru kelas dan siswa kelas III. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan trianguasi teknik dan triangulasi data. Analisis data menggunakan yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka pengintegrasian karakter Pelajar Pancasila berbasis Daarul Qur’an Method dalam Intrakurikuler diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum, manajemen kelas, penggunaan metode pembelajaran, pemebelajaran tematis dalam Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), gerakan literasi, dan bimbingan konseling. Pengintegrasian tersebut melalui beberapa program kegiatan sekolah seperti Khutbatul Iftitah, Festival Muharram, Independence day and excul display, Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW, Outbound, Festival P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) ke 1,  DaQu Edutainment, Tasmi' Al Qur'an, DaQu Camp, DaQu Edutrip,  Language and Earth Day, Spirit of Ramadhan,  Baksos, Ifthar Jama'i, Halal bi Halal, Gerakan Sedekah Nasional, Business Day dan P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) ke 2, DaQu Fest, Tasmi' Week, WTN (Wisuda Tahfizh Nasional).

Abstract

Islamic religious education in the modern era must be informative and transformational, namely, to be able to form students' religious character completely and sustainably. One of the key factors in the success of this transformation is self-efficacy, namely, students' belief in their ability to carry out religious values in everyday life. This study aims to examine how the role of self-efficacy is built through Islamic Religious Education learning that is designed contextually and applicatively. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study subjects consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers and senior high school students implementing transformation-based learning in Bandung. The study results show that students' self-efficacy is formed through 1) a religious and supportive school environment, 2) a meaningful and contextual learning model, 3) consistent character guidance and habituation, and 4) disciplinary policies that support student self-control. Therefore, transformational Islamic Religious Education is effective in forming students' religious character if it synergistically involves all elements of the school to strengthen their self-efficacy in carrying out religious teachings consistently and consciously.

Abstract

Pemilu 2024 di Indonesia menunjukkan peningkatan penggunaan branding Islam dalam kampanye politik, yang dapat memengaruhi preferensi mahasiswa sebagai pemilih mayoritas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh branding Islam terhadap keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih calon Presiden dan Wakil Presiden. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap mahasiswa dan strategi kampanye berbasis agama. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik untuk memahami pola preferensi pemilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simbol keagamaan dalam kampanye meningkatkan elektabilitas kandidat di kalangan mahasiswa. Namun, sebagian mahasiswa tetap mempertimbangkan visi misi dan kapabilitas kandidat. Kesimpulannya, meskipun politik identitas berbasis agama berpengaruh, mahasiswa tetap memiliki kecenderungan rasional dalam memilih. Diperlukan edukasi politik agar pemilih dapat mengambil keputusan secara objektif.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in the tahfidz Al-Qur'an program, has seen significant progress, with more than 25,000 educational institutions registered by 2024. However, not all institutions produce high-quality hafidz, largely due to the diverse abilities of students, which are influenced by their educational backgrounds and memorization methods. This study focuses on the strategies employed by students in memorizing the Qur'an and the practical implementation of these strategies. The research aims to identify effective memorization methods in tahfidz programs and evaluate their impact on the quality of memorization. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design at the Daarul Yusr Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that 10 students successfully memorized 30 juz of the Qur'an. Additionally, the memorization process contributed to enhancing students' discipline and self-confidence. These results affirm that employing a differentiated approach in memorization not only improves the quality of memorization but also positively influences students' character. This study is expected to serve as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in addressing challenges in tahfidz education and developing curricula tailored to individual student needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab stres akademik di kalangan mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) dan menganalisis peran pendidikan Islam dalam membantu mahasiswa mengatasi tekanan akademik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara terstruktur dan analisis studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stres akademik disebabkan oleh beban tugas yang tinggi, ekspektasi dari diri sendiri dan lingkungan, kesulitan manajemen waktu, serta lingkungan belajar yang kurang mendukung. Pendidikan Islam berperan penting dalam mengelola stres melalui nilai-nilai seperti tawakal, sabar, dan syukur, serta praktik ibadah seperti sholat dan dzikir yang memberikan ketenangan batin. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan mental dan membantu mereka menghadapi tantangan akademik. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi universitas untuk memperkuat peran pendidikan Islam dalam mendukung kesehatan mental mahasiswa, termasuk dengan menambah materi manajemen stres dalam kurikulum dan menyediakan fasilitas ibadah yang memadai.

Abstract

In Islamic law, buying and selling transactions must adhere to contract principles that comply with sharia, such as mutual consent, clarity of objects and prices, and freedom from elements of gharar (uncertainty), riba (usury), and maysir (gambling). However, the general public's understanding of the concept of akad (contract) remains limited, as many perceive buying and selling merely as an exchange of goods and money without considering the legal and ethical aspects embedded in the contract. This study aims to identify the level of public understanding regarding the theory of akad in sharia-based buying and selling transactions using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, case studies, and literature reviews. The findings indicate that although the term akad is widely recognized, in-depth understanding of its types, conditions, and principles remains inadequate. The majority of people are unfamiliar with Islamic contracts such as Murabahah, Salam, or Istishna, and they often have misconceptions regarding the elements of gharar and riba in transactions. Therefore, further education is necessary to enhance Islamic financial literacy, ensuring that buying and selling transactions align with Islamic principles, promote fairness, and avoid practices that may disadvantage one party.

Abstract

This study investigates the local expertise of Nyangu (traditional rice cooking) in the Sundanese community as a source of cultural character education principles, emphasizing health, food security, and moral-social aspects.  The study uses an integrated literature review strategy to synthesis qualitative and quantitative data from many disciplines, including cultural anthropology, education, and nutrition.  Thematic analysis yielded three key findings:  (1) Nyangu boosts health by producing resistant starch, lowering the glycemic index, and lowering the risk of diabetes and obesity compared to modern rice cookers. (2) It incorporates food security through zero-waste practices, repurposing leftovers into traditional meals (e.g., opak, pepes), and demonstrates sustainable resource management in line with the SDGs.  (3) The practice instills moral-social values such as community eating (botram) and food reverence, which promote social cohesiveness and cultural identity. The conclusions underline the importance of Nyangu in sustaining Sundanese history in the face of globalization, with implications for incorporating its values into official and informal education curricula. This integration can potentially strengthen cultural identity, encourage sustainable practices to counter cultural degradation, and call for a legislative framework linking traditional practices with modern educational institutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparison of the tahlily interpretation method and the muqaran interpretation method. This research uses a qualitative approach and a literature review method. Analytical methods or tahlily methods, namely, interpreting qur'anic verses by explaining all aspects contained in the interpreted verses and explaining the meanings included in them in accordance with the expertise and tendency of mufasir who interpret the verses. While Muqaran interpretation is one of the interpretive methods that use comparison techniques in revealing or explaining qur'anic verses, so that the main targets in this cashede are verses that seem to have similar redactions, which speak of the same case or two different cases , the second target is a verse that appears to contradict the hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) by birth, and the last is to compare the views of the scholars of the interpretation of the verse they interpreted.
