Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon where there are students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo who have not experienced academic flow conditions such as not being able to concentrate fully, not fully paying attention to the delivery of material when the teacher explains, or doing other activities during the learning process. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic flow in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo, totaling 174 students. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling so that the number of samples is 174 students. The data collection in this study used the self-efficacy scale and the academic flow scale. The reliability on the academic flow scale is 0.874 and the reliability on the self-efficacy scale is 0.826. The data analysis technique uses Pearson's Product-Moment correlation with the help of SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results of the research data analysis showed a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.465 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and academic flow at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The research motivated by phenomenon of students experiencing academic procrastination. This study aims to describe the picture of academicprocrastination that occurs in the Faculty of Psyichology and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA). This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The research population is the students of the Faculty of Psichology and educational Sciences for the 2019-2020 academic year, totaling 2.000 students. The sample of this study was 249 students using the propotional random sampling technique. The research data collection technique used a psychological scale with a Likert scale type, namely the academic procrastination scale. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics with the product moment correlation technique using the SPSS 19.0 for windows program. The results showed that overall all students of the Faculty of Psychology and educational Sciences (FPIP) at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo did academic procrastination, in this study it was 75,5%.

Abstract

The family is the main and most responsible institution in society in ensuring the social welfare and biological preservation of human children, because it is in the family that human children are born, and the death of a spouse is one of the most important life events and can trigger stress. When a woman finally becomes a single mother, they are generally in a condition that is vulnerable to physical and psychological disorders. The purpose of this study was to analyze the description of coping stress on single mothers, sources of stress on single mothers and analyze the factors that influence the selection of coping stress on single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo district. This research method uses qualitative research methods, the unit of analysis in this study is the conceptual understanding of the topic of coping stress and single mother, the subject of this research is a single mother who is in Wadungasih Village, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the stress coping chosen by single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo Regency is more focused on emotional-focused coping (avoidance of running away, keeping distance, positive reappraisal, self-control and emotional social support) especially single mothers chosen. the longer one. Meanwhile, problem focused coping (confrontive coping) was chosen by subjects who had just become single mothers. Sources of stress experienced by single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo district are the economy, work, taking care of children, and negative views of the people around them. What factors influence the choice of coping with stress in single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo district, namely physical health, problem solving skills, social skills, and social support.

Abstract

This correlational quantitative study investigates the relationship between self-concept and self-regulation in learning among middle school students. With a sample of 270 respondents from SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo, employing proportional stratified random sampling, the research utilizes the Pearson correlation test for analysis. The study reveals a positive association between students' self-concept and self-regulation in learning (r = 0.357; p > 0.05). The independent variable contributes 12.7% to the dependent variable, implying that 87.3% of variance is attributed to other factors. These findings emphasize the significance of nurturing a positive self-concept alongside promoting self-regulation strategies to enhance students' cognitive development and long-term learning success. Highlights: Positive Self-Concept and Learning Success: This study explores the positive relationship between self-concept and self-regulation in learning among adolescents, highlighting the impact of a positive self-concept on students' overall learning outcomes. Quantitative Correlation Analysis: Utilizing a correlational quantitative approach, the research investigates the interplay between self-concept and self-regulation, offering insights into the strength of their association within the context of student learning. Promoting Lifelong Learning Skills: The findings underscore the need to foster a positive self-concept and provide effective self-regulation strategies to adolescents, as these factors contribute significantly to cognitive development and long-term learning success. Abstract

This study examines the relationship between school well-being and learning motivation among Islamic Vocational High School students in Tulangan, Sidoarjo. Using a quantitative correlational method, 222 students were selected from a population of 497 through stratified random sampling. Validated scales measured school well-being and learning motivation, with data analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation via JASP software. Results showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.432, p<0.001), indicating that higher school well-being is associated with increased learning motivation. These findings suggest that improving school infrastructure and resources can enhance student motivation, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to boost educational quality. Highlight: Positive correlation between school well-being and learning motivation identified. Enhanced infrastructure boosts student motivation. Abstract

This study aims to determine and provide an explanation of the relationship adversity quotient with work performance on account officers at PT. PBR Independent Assets and Groups. The method of this research is quantitative with 156 account officer employees as subjects. The determination of subjects uses a saturated sampling technique in which all members of the population are taken as samples. The variables in this study are adversity quotient and work performance. Collecting data in this study used an adversity quotient scale made by researchers with a Likert scale model and work performance. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between the adversity quotient and work performance. Data analysis in this study used product moment correlation statistical tests with the help of SPSS 18 for Windows. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between the adversity quotient and the work performance of account officers at PT. BPR Self and Group Assets with a value of r = 0.438 with a significance value of 0.000 (P <0.05). This means that the higher the adversity quotient owned by the account officer, the higher the work performance produced and vice versa, the lower the adversity quotient owned, the lower the work performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between academic stress and academic procrastination among students at Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University. The type of research uses quantitative correlational. The total population of 10802 students with a sample of 336 students taken by simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using a Likert scale. The validity of academic stress uses 14 valid items. The validity of academic procrastination uses 20 valid items. Academic stress reliability results of 0.780 from 14 items. The results of academic procrastination reliability were 0.853 out of 20 items. The data analysis technique uses Spearman's product moment assisted by SPSS 25.0. The results of data analysis obtained rxy = 0.365 with sig 0.000 <0.05. Then the hypothesis is accepted which means there is a positive relationship between academic stress and academic procrastination.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the social story method to improve social interaction skills in hyperactive students at MI darusallam jogosatru. The social interaction of hyperactive children can be seen from the way students interact at school. This study uses experimental research because it influences the influence of the social story method on the social interactions of hyperactive students. The subjects in this study were hyperactive grade 5 students using a single subject design approach by observing hyperactive students and data analysis techniques using graphic analysis techniques. The result of this research is that the social story method can improve the social interaction skills of hyperactive students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of high grade elementary school students who lack the motivation to learn where these students when facing assignments or homework given by the teacher are not done, rely on homework from smart friends, complain when they get homework, and imitate the work of friends. . This study aims to determine the relationship between school well-being and learning motivation in high grade students at SDN Lambangan. This research includes correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were 83 students consisting of class IV, class V, and class VI. The sampling technique used in this research is saturated sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used 2 scales, namely, the school well-being scale consisting of 42 items and the learning motivation scale consisting of 27 items. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between school well-being and learning motivation in high-class students at SDN Lambangan. The results of this study indicate that the correlation coefficient is 0.420 with a significance value of p = 0.000 <0.05. The result of the determination coefficient test is 0.165 which indicates that the school well-being variable in this study has an influence of 16.5% on the learning motivation variable. These results indicate that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.

Abstract

Pelanggaran kedisiplinan yang dilakukan oleh siswa SMK Trisakti, seperti keterlambatan, memakai seragam tidak sesuai aturan dan merokok yang meletarbelakangi penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis konformitas siswa SMK Trisakti Tulangan terhadap teman sebayanya dengan kedisiplinan mereka terhadap tata tertib sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 949 siswa yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2022-2023 di SMK Trisakti, kemudian 255 siswa dipilih secara acak. Proportionate stratfied random sampling adalah teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penggunaan dua penilaian psikologis pemodelan skala Likert, yaitu skala konformitas teman sebaya dan skala kedisiplinan untuk pengumpulan data. Teknik analisis data mengunakan uji regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan secara statistik antara konformitas teman sebaya dan kedisiplin (koefisien regresi = -0,938, p = 0,000). Nilai 0,622 (R Squared) dari uji determinasi menegaskan bahwa variabel Konformitas Teman Sebaya berpengaruh signifikan sebesar 62,2% terhadap kedisiplin dalam penelitian ini
