Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara spiritualitas dan regulasi emosi terhadap forgiveness pada siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketana kuantitatif metode korelasi. Sasaran pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 10 SMK dengan populasi sebanyak 254 terdiri dari 3 jurusan yaitu otomotif (TKRO), listrik (KTL), mesin (TPM). Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 146 siswa kelas 10 SMK. Pengumpulan data berupa skala likert spiritualitas, skala forgiveness, skala regulasi emosi. Hasil penelitian bahwa dominan dikategori rendah 52% dan sedang 48%. Hasil uji hipotesis membuktikan dalam penelitian ini semakin tinggi tingkatan spiritualitas dan regulasi emosi maka akan semakin tinggi pula tingkatan forgiveness, uji linear berganda menunjukkan nilai yang diberikan oleh spiritualitas dan regulasi emosi sebesar 23% kepada forgiveness dan hasil uji F spiritualitas dan regulasi emosi dapat memberikan dampak yang signifikan kepada forgiveness. Kesimpulannya bahwa hasil hasil tersebut menunjukkan secara simultan maupun secara individual spiritualitas, regulasi emosi dapat memberikan dampak yang signifikan kepada forgiveness. Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurs in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo where there are students who still do not show their academic flow. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between social support and academic flow in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The total population in this study was 174 students. The sampling technique used is a non-probability sampling technique in the form of saturated sampling so that the number of samples is 174 students. Data collection used two Likert model psychological scales, namely the social support scale and academic flow. Data analysis was done by using Pearson Product Moment correlation statistical technique and using SPSS 23.0 for windows program. The results of the analysis of this study indicate a correlation coefficient of rxy = 0.464 with a significance of 0.0000 (<0.05), meaning that there is a positive relationship between social support and academic flow. The higher the social support received by students, the higher the academic flow experienced by students, and vice versa, the lower the social support received by students, the lower the academic flow experienced by students. The magnitude of the effect resulting from the relationship between social support and academic flow in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo ranges from 0.3-0.5 in the medium category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon where there are students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo who have not experienced academic flow conditions such as not being able to concentrate fully, not fully paying attention to the delivery of material when the teacher explains, or doing other activities during the learning process. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic flow in students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo, totaling 174 students. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling so that the number of samples is 174 students. The data collection in this study used the self-efficacy scale and the academic flow scale. The reliability on the academic flow scale is 0.874 and the reliability on the self-efficacy scale is 0.826. The data analysis technique uses Pearson's Product-Moment correlation with the help of SPSS 16.0 for windows. The results of the research data analysis showed a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.465 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and academic flow at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin Sidoarjo.

Abstract

The research motivated by phenomenon of students experiencing academic procrastination. This study aims to describe the picture of academicprocrastination that occurs in the Faculty of Psyichology and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA). This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The research population is the students of the Faculty of Psichology and educational Sciences for the 2019-2020 academic year, totaling 2.000 students. The sample of this study was 249 students using the propotional random sampling technique. The research data collection technique used a psychological scale with a Likert scale type, namely the academic procrastination scale. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics with the product moment correlation technique using the SPSS 19.0 for windows program. The results showed that overall all students of the Faculty of Psychology and educational Sciences (FPIP) at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo did academic procrastination, in this study it was 75,5%.

Abstract

The family is the main and most responsible institution in society in ensuring the social welfare and biological preservation of human children, because it is in the family that human children are born, and the death of a spouse is one of the most important life events and can trigger stress. When a woman finally becomes a single mother, they are generally in a condition that is vulnerable to physical and psychological disorders. The purpose of this study was to analyze the description of coping stress on single mothers, sources of stress on single mothers and analyze the factors that influence the selection of coping stress on single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo district. This research method uses qualitative research methods, the unit of analysis in this study is the conceptual understanding of the topic of coping stress and single mother, the subject of this research is a single mother who is in Wadungasih Village, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the stress coping chosen by single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo Regency is more focused on emotional-focused coping (avoidance of running away, keeping distance, positive reappraisal, self-control and emotional social support) especially single mothers chosen. the longer one. Meanwhile, problem focused coping (confrontive coping) was chosen by subjects who had just become single mothers. Sources of stress experienced by single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo district are the economy, work, taking care of children, and negative views of the people around them. What factors influence the choice of coping with stress in single mothers in Buduran sub-district, Sidoarjo district, namely physical health, problem solving skills, social skills, and social support.

Abstract

This correlational quantitative study investigates the relationship between self-concept and self-regulation in learning among middle school students. With a sample of 270 respondents from SMPN 2 Taman Sidoarjo, employing proportional stratified random sampling, the research utilizes the Pearson correlation test for analysis. The study reveals a positive association between students' self-concept and self-regulation in learning (r = 0.357; p > 0.05). The independent variable contributes 12.7% to the dependent variable, implying that 87.3% of variance is attributed to other factors. These findings emphasize the significance of nurturing a positive self-concept alongside promoting self-regulation strategies to enhance students' cognitive development and long-term learning success. Highlights: Positive Self-Concept and Learning Success: This study explores the positive relationship between self-concept and self-regulation in learning among adolescents, highlighting the impact of a positive self-concept on students' overall learning outcomes. Quantitative Correlation Analysis: Utilizing a correlational quantitative approach, the research investigates the interplay between self-concept and self-regulation, offering insights into the strength of their association within the context of student learning. Promoting Lifelong Learning Skills: The findings underscore the need to foster a positive self-concept and provide effective self-regulation strategies to adolescents, as these factors contribute significantly to cognitive development and long-term learning success. Abstract

This study examines the relationship between school well-being and learning motivation among Islamic Vocational High School students in Tulangan, Sidoarjo. Using a quantitative correlational method, 222 students were selected from a population of 497 through stratified random sampling. Validated scales measured school well-being and learning motivation, with data analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation via JASP software. Results showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.432, p<0.001), indicating that higher school well-being is associated with increased learning motivation. These findings suggest that improving school infrastructure and resources can enhance student motivation, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to boost educational quality. Highlight: Positive correlation between school well-being and learning motivation identified. Enhanced infrastructure boosts student motivation. Abstract

General Background: Academic procrastination remains a prevalent issue among high school students, often leading to decreased academic performance and increased psychological distress. Specific Background: Previous studies have identified psychological factors such as learning motivation and self-regulated learning as potential contributors to procrastination. Knowledge Gap: However, limited research has examined the simultaneous influence of these two variables on academic procrastination, particularly among Indonesian high school students. Aims: This study aims to analyze the simultaneous effect of learning motivation and self-regulated learning on academic procrastination among 210 eleventh-grade students at SMA Antartika Sidoarjo. Results: Utilizing a quantitative correlational method and multiple linear regression analysis, the findings indicate a significant effect (F=16.01, p<.001), confirming that both learning motivation and self-regulated learning jointly influence academic procrastination. Notably, 31.43% of students were categorized as having high academic procrastination, while 26.19% and 24.76% showed low levels of learning motivation and self-regulated learning, respectively. Novelty: This study uniquely contributes by investigating the combined impact of these psychological factors on academic procrastination within a senior high school setting. Implications: The results underscore the importance of fostering learning motivation and self-regulation strategies to mitigate academic procrastination in educational interventions and school-based counseling programs. Highlights : Simultaneous influence of motivation and self-regulation is statistically significant. Over 30% of students experience high academic procrastination. Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of Adversity Quotient in jujitsu athletes who have experienced minor post-match injuries where there are still many jujitsu athletes at Kemala Bhayangkari 3 Porong High School, Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo and Wijaya Putra University who lack the fighting power to achieve the achievements they want due to the injuries they suffered. Adversity quotient is a very important thing for an athlete to have. Adversity quotient can be influenced by several aspects, one of which is control (self-control). This type of research is a descriptive quantitative research method, this method is the right method to find out the results of this study which aims to determine the effect of the adversity quotient of athletes who have experienced minor post-match injuries. The total population in this study were 60 athletes. The sampling technique used is the Purposive Sampling Technique. Collecting data using a psychological scale with a Likert scale model. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistical analysis assisted by the SPSS 16.0 for windows program. The results of this study indicate that the adversity quotient of male and female jujitsu athletes has different levels, male athletes have a more dominant level and in terms of aspects, aspects of control (self control) are more dominant.

Abstract

Changes in career interests last until they find a career field that is considered according to their potential and competence. Early adolescence is a time of searching, so their career interests are still changing. This study was conducted to determine changes in career interest in male and female students. The longitudinal study was conducted with two measurements, namely at the beginning of junior high school (grade VII) and at the end of school in junior high school (grade IX). The participants were 169 students consisting of 108 girls and 61 boys. The instrument used is RMIB (Rothwell Miller Interest Blank). Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis to see changes in career interests that occur in each student. The results showed that there were 67.55% of students whose career interests changed or were not stable. More male students have stable career interests than female students. For male students, there are 49.18% of students whose interests are stable, while for female students, there are only 23.15% of students who are stable.
