Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of stress experienced by final semester students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) who have low emotional well-being, decreased cognitive behavior and weakened physical conditions. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of problem focused coping and social support on thesis-related stress. The research method used is quantitative correlation with a population of 3,734 final semester students at UMSIDA. The sample size is 320 students based on the Isaac & Michael table with a 5% margin of error. The sample was determined using purposive sampling technique. The variables in this study were problem focused coping, social support, and thesis writing stress. Data collection in this study used three psychological scales based on the Likert scale model adopted from previous studies. The hypothesis in this study was that there is a relationship between problem focused coping and social support on thesis writing stress. Data analysis in this study used mulitple correlations statistical test with the help of SPSS 26.0 for Windows.

Abstract

Learning independence is an attitude in individual learning to achieve goals and actively contribute to the learning process without relying on others. Students who have learning independence will be able to overcome various problems faced, especially in learning activities. However, the existing phenomenon shows that there are still students who have problems in learning independence, such as not evaluating their learning activities, giving up easily on difficult tasks, and not seeking information from various learning sources. The study aims to see the effect of parental support and self-confidence on learning independence at SDN Tanggul Sidoarjo. This research is correlational quantitative research. The study population consisted of high-grade students at SDN Tanggul Sidoarjo with a total of 124 students, and all students were used as research samples. The data collection technique in this study uses a scale of Parental Support, Self-Confidence, and Learning Independence. This technique is used to find out the effect of parental support and self-confidence on the learning independence of high school students. Analysis of the research results using multiple linear regression with the help of JASP. The results of the study showed a p value of 0.001 <0.05, which indicates a significant effect of parents' support and self-confidence on learning independence in high school students at SDN Tanggul Sidoarjo.Kemandirian belajar adalah sikaip dalam pembelaijaran individu untiuk mencapaii tujuan serta berkontriibusi aktif dalam proises pembelajaran tanpa bergiantung pada orang lain. Siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar akan mampu mengatasi berbagai masalah yang dihadapi, terutama dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Namun, fenomena yang ada menunjuikkan baihwa masiiih terdiapat siiswa yang memiiliki masalah dalam kemandiirian beilajar, seperti tidak mengevaluasi kegiatan belajarnya, mudah menyerah pada tugas yang sulit, dan kurang mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber belajar. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dukungan orang tua dan kepercayaan diri terhadap kemandirian belajar di SDN Tanggul Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas tinggi di SDN Tanggul Sidoarjo dengan jumlah 124 siswa, dan seluruh siswa dijadikan sampel penelitian. Teknik peingumpulan data dalam peneliitian ini menggiunakan skala Dukungan Orang Tua, Kepercayaan Diri, dan Kemandirian Belajar. Teknik ini diigunaikan uintiuk mengietahui peingiaruh dukungan oiraiing tuia dan kepercaiyaan diiri teirhadap kemaindirian beilajar paida sisiwa keilas tinggi sekolah dasar. Analisis hasil penelitian menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan JASP. Hasil penelitian diketahui nilai p sebesar 0,001 < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh signifikan dukungan oraing tuia dan kepericayaan diri teirhadap keimandirian beilajar pada siiswa keilas tinggi di SDN Tanggul Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Active involvement in campus organizations requires students to manage academic responsibilities alongside organizational commitments. In practice, this dual role often creates challenges in self-control and time use, which can lead to delays in completing academic tasks. This situation underlies the need to examine how self-regulation and time management are related to academic procrastination among students who are actively engaged in organizations at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of 340 students who were actively involved in campus organizations, while a sample of 180 students was determined using the Isaac and Michael table with a 5% margin of error and selected through a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using self-regulation, time management, and academic procrastination scales. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that self-regulation and time management simultaneously had a significant effect on academic procrastination. Partially, self-regulation had a negative and significant effect on academic procrastination, indicating that better self-regulation is associated with lower levels of academic procrastination. In addition, time management also had a negative and significant effect on academic procrastination, suggesting that students who are better at managing their time tend to show lower tendencies toward academic procrastination. These findings highlight the importance of self-regulation and effective time management in minimizing academic procrastination among students who are actively involved in campus organizations.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the procrastination behavior carried out by students. Many students do not complete school assignments, many students do not attend school and prefer to joke around while learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in academic procrastination in terms of the level of emotional regulation in students of Hangtuah 5 Middle School, Sidoarjo. The study used a comparative quantitative method. The population in this study amounted to 174 students. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. Data collection used a psychological scale with a Likert scale model, namely the academic procrastination scale and the Emotional Regulation scale. Data analysis used the independent sample T-Test analysis technique with the help of the SPSS 26.0 for Windows program. The results of the study showed that there were differences in academic procrastination in terms of emotional regulation owned by students of Hangtuah 5 Middle School, Sidoarjo with a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a t value = -2.215.

Abstract

Bullying is an experience commonly experienced by several children at school in the form of physical, verbal or psychological threats such as taunting, mocking, hitting or threatening a student victim by several students. Social relationships are relationships between humans who need each other in the form of interactions both between individuals and groups. This type of research is quantitative with the correlational method. The data collection technique is using a questionnaire. To determine the accuracy of the instrument, validity and reliability tests were carried out. The data analysis technique uses the korelational test, normality test, and linearity using SPSS 24. The sampling technique uses total sampling with the entire population being a sample of 48 students. The results of the study showed that the level of bullying experienced by students who were victims of bullying was 56.73%, while the level of social relations among students who were victims of bullying was 69.75% and the influence of bullying on the social relations of class VIII students at SMP PGRI 7 SEDATI was at a percentage of 0.371 or 37 .1% with a fairly strong classification.
