Abstract

General Background Education plays an indispensable role in national progress by cultivating independent, educated, and ethical citizens. Specific Background In the Indonesian primary education context, early cultivation of civic values through physical instructional media is essential to build strong character traits like mutual cooperation and tolerance. Knowledge Gap However, conventional teaching methods often struggle to address current moral crises due to a lack of highly engaging visual tools that seamlessly integrate physical elements with digital assets. Aims This study designs an interactive visual learning tool named Smart Box to improve student understanding of national principles. Results The developed square-shaped visual medium features four functional sides incorporating storytelling, matching stickers, and dice games, while successfully integrating quick-response barcodes for digital ice-breaking videos and daily application lessons. Novelty The unique value of this media lies in its multi-sided, handmade physical architecture combined with mobile-scannable digital links that prompt active physical participation. Implications This innovative approach offers an actionable solution for educators to deliver moral education dynamically, transforming passive learning into an immersive classroom experience. Abstract

Cultural diversity in Indonesia is a wealth of the nation that must be understood and appreciated by the younger generation. However, the low cultural literacy of elementary school students is a challenge in learning. The study was conducted to see the effect of interactive learning based on gamification of digital quizzes on improving students' cultural literacy. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experiment design of one group, namely the design of a onegroup pretestposttest with a sample of 23 students of class V who were selected through purposive sampling techniques at SDN Tawangsari III. Data collection was in the form of a multiple-choice test that was used to evaluate students' understanding before and after being treated. The results of the analysis showed that the posttest score  had increased significantly compared to the pretest  score with a value of t = 6.89 and p < 0.001, which shows that gamification has an effect on improving cultural literacy. This research proves that gamification-based learning of digital quizzes can increase students' activeness and strengthen their understanding of Indonesia's cultural diversity. Thus, the application of gamification has the potential to be an innovative approach in the learning process of social and cultural subjects at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This Study aims to examine the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning model through a contextual approach in enhancing the critical thinking skills of third-grade elementary school students in Civics education (PPKn). The research employed a quantitative experimental method with a Nonrandomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental group that used the guided inquiry model and a control group that followed conventional methods. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, hypothesis testing (t-test), and eta-squared analysis with SPSS version 29. The results indicated that the guided inquiry learning model significantly improved students' critical thinking skills. The average posttest score of the experimental group (91.68) was higher than that of the control group (71.27), with eta-squared values of 0.748 for the experimental group and 0.834 for the control group, indicating a strong effect. Hypothesis testing confirmed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (sig. < 0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry model through a contextual approach is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pembelajaran Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) berbasis asesmen diagnostik serta dampaknya terhadap ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran dikelas lll sekolah dasar. Permasalahan penelitian didasari oleh perbedaan kemampuan awal siswa yang menyebabkan ketimpangan pemahaman materi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah Gempol 1. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, observasi pembelajaran, angket, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen diagnostik membantu guru memetakan kemampuan siswa dan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis kelompok kemampuan. Penerapan TaRL berdampak positif terhadap pemahaman, keaktifan, motivasi belajar siswa, serta mendukung ketercapaian Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP). Meskipun dalam pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi sejumlah hambatan, seperti keterbatasan waktu, perbedaan tingkat kemampuan awal siswa, dan adaptasi guru terhadap pembelajaran berbasis level, dukungan sekolah serta kolaborasi antarguru membuat TaRL tetap dapat diterapkan secara konsisten. Penerapan TaRL memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman materi, partisipasi aktif siswa, serta motivasi belajar, sekaligus mendukung pencapaian Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP).

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the consistency of the application of rules and procedures as an effort to develop discipline for grade 1 students to improve the character of the Pancasila student profile. The existence of this can motivate students' enthusiasm in practicing self-control. This research method is qualitative by means of a literature study, where the reviewer examines a theory related to the theme first. The reviewer then searches, collects information through books, articles, magazines, journals and other research results. The results show that there is an influence on consistency in the application of rules and procedures to form student’s discipline attitudes through the pancasila student profile resulting in a coefficient of 0,28 or 28%. This states the attitude of student discipline on the consistency that has been applied by teachers and student. That the purpose of strengthening the character building of Pancasila students through the consistent application of rules and procedures to encourage the emergence of good human beings with six main characteristics, namely critical thinking, creative, independent, devoted, devoted to God Almighty, noble character, mutual cooperation and global diversity. The hope is that students will be able to develop, make good use of their knowledge, seek knowledge, and understand or realize and behave in accordance with good character and morals manifested in their lives. With this, it is proven that it can shape a better personal character and make learning orderly when obeying the rules and procedures that have been set. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of healthy living habits and the character building process of grade IV B students at SDN Sawotratap 2 through a series of habituation activities that are designed in a structured manner and implemented continuously. The focus of the study is directed at the habituation of group work, compliance with school regulations, and the habit of going to bed early which is monitored through a daily habituation journal with the active involvement of parents. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive design. The research subjects included grade IV B teachers, students, and parents, while data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was guaranteed through the application of triangulation of sources and methods. The research findings show that the practice of healthy living habits and strengthening students' character have been implemented in a planned, systematic, and consistent manner, both at school and at home. The habituation of group work and compliance with school regulations has been proven to be able to foster attitudes of tolerance, cooperation, responsibility, and social awareness in students. Moreover, the routine of sleeping early, facilitated by parental involvement via daily journals, positively affects students' physical and mental preparedness for engaging in learning activities. These behaviors lead to enhanced focus, emotional balance, and time management discipline. By means of ongoing and repetitive habituation, students come to not only adhere to the rules out of obligation but also assimilate positive values into their everyday way of life. Therefore, the implementation of healthy living habits at SDN Sawotratap 2 plays a crucial role in supporting the development of discipline, responsibility, social awareness, and optimal learning readiness in elementary school students.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter dan kebiasaan positif sejak usia sekolah dasar merupakan aspek penting dalam mendukung perkembangan siswa secara menyeluruh. Meskipun demikian, penerapan kebiasaan-kebiasaan positif di kalangan siswa kelas bawah belum sepenuhnya optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program 7 Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat di kalangan siswa kelas bawah SDN Sidokare 2, melalui analisis buku panduan program serta pemahaman para pendidik dan kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, yang menggabungkan wawancara dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data dilakukan melalui model Miles dan Huberman. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa program tersebut telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip yang digariskan dalam buku panduan. Hal ini karena para guru dan kepala sekolah memiliki pemahaman yang mendalam, dan banyak pihak lain juga terlibat. Namun, masih ada beberapa masalah, seperti kurangnya bantuan bagi siswa, kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua, serta kurangnya pemantauan dan evaluasi yang konsisten. Oleh karena itu, program ini memerlukan implementasi dan pengelolaan yang lebih baik agar dapat berjalan lebih efektif dan bertahan lebih lama. Abstract

Abstract Indonesia is a country rich in ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. However, there is still a gap in the understanding and appreciation of differences among the younger generation, which can lead to intolerance and discrimination. Therefore, basic education is crucial in shaping students' characters to appreciate differences. Pancasila education with global diversity can be a means to instill multicultural values that can shape the character of multicultural literacy of Nusantara culture in students. This study aims to determine how the implementation of Pancasila education with global diversity in fostering the character of multicultural literacy of Nusantara culture in elementary school students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the research subject being one fourth grade teacher and three fourth grade students of SDN Tambakrejo 2 Krembung in the 2024/2025 school year. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To test the validity of the data that has been obtained, using triangulation techniques. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the implementation of Pancasila education with global diversity has succeeded in fostering multicultural literacy characters in students. Through teaching Pancasila values and cultural activities such as folklore, traditional clothing competitions, and art performances, students are enthusiastic about learning and appreciating Indonesia's cultural diversity. Although there are obstacles such as difficulties in distinguishing local, national and global cultures, as well as the lack of interactive learning media, with the addition of innovation and more interesting learning resources, students' understanding of Indonesia's cultural diversity can be better. Namun, masih ada kesenjangan dalam pemahaman dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan di kalangan generasi muda, yang bisa menyebabkan intoleransi dan diskriminasi. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan dasar sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa agar bisa menghargai perbedaan. Pendidikan Pancasila berkebhinekaan global dapat menjadi sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai multikultural yang dapat membentuk karakter literasi multikultural budaya Nusantara pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pendidikan Pancasila berkebhinekaan global dalam menumbuhkan karakter literasi multikultural budaya Nusantara pada siswa SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian satu guru kelas IV dan tiga siswa kelas IV SDN Tambakrejo 2 Krembung tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk menguji keabsahan data yang telah diperoleh, menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan Pancasila berkebhinekaan global telah berhasil menumbuhkan karakter literasi multikultural pada siswa. Melalui pengajaran nilai-nilai Pancasila dan kegiatan budaya seperti cerita rakyat, lomba pakaian adat, dan pentas seni, siswa antusias mempelajari dan menghargai keberagaman budaya Indonesia. Meskipun ada kendala seperti kesulitan membedakan budaya lokal, nasional, dan global, serta kurangnya media pembelajaran interaktif, dengan penambahan inovasi dan sumber belajar yang lebih menarik, pemahaman siswa tentang keberagaman budaya Indonesia dapat lebih baik. Abstract

Character education through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) requires contextual learning that utilizes local wisdom. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of a local wisdom-based P5 program through the MANTATO (Family Medicinal Plants Utilization) Project in fostering the character of fourth-grade students at SDN Anggaswangi I. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving 30 students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing with source and technique triangulation. The findings revealed that the MANTATO Project strengthened students' character in the dimensions of faith and noble character, collaboration, independence, and critical reasoning. Assessment results indicated that 70% of students achieved the "Developing as Expected" category in the Faith, Piety, and Noble Character dimension, 63% in the Mutual Cooperation dimension, and 60% in the combined dimension of Independence and Critical Reasoning, as assessed in the school's P5 rubric. The project also enhanced environmental awareness, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and local wisdom preservation through the utilization of family medicinal plants.
