Abstract

Abstract: The moral message of persistence in the anime Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis can contribute to the development of knowledge, especially for Japanese language learners by providing additional knowledge about anime, Roland Barthes' semiotic concept, and the moral message of persistence so that it can be realized in everyday life. day. The purpose of this study is to describe what moral messages describe persistence in verbal and non-verbal communication in the anime. The method used is observation, listening technique, note-taking technique and literature study. The results of the analysis show that there are five moral messages that describe persistence based on verbal communication and three moral messages that describe persistence based on non-verbal communication from characters in the anime Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) based on Roland Barthes’s semiotic analysis.Key Words: The Moral Message, Persistence, Anime, Semiotic, Gin no Saji.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the types and analysis of figure of thought meanings contained in the lyrics of anime Soundtrack Kimi no Nawa. This study aims to identify the type of figure of speech and analyze the meaning in the lyrics of the song. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using the Cognitive Linguistics approach proposed by Lakoff and Johnson. It is found that there are conceptual metaphor, orientational metaphor, ontological metaphor, channel metaphor, simile, part and whole metonymy, causal metonymy, and synecdoche. These figures of thought have meanings related to psychology, expression of feelings, time, events and activity, life, description of objects, distance and space, possession, memory, atmosphere/condition.Key Words : Figure of thought, Song lyrics, Anime Kimi no Nawa, Meaning

Abstract

Abstract: Kanji is one of the four characters used by Japanese people. Bushu is a form element that represents the basic meaning of a kanji. Understanding of bushu is necessary to understand a kanji. This study aimed to describes the meaning and the semantic change of te-hen Bushu. This research is limited to kanji characters containing te-hen bushu in Jouyou Kanji (daily use of kanji). The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Kanji dictionary and the book of the origin of kanji is used to find semantic change of te-hen bushu. The results of the analysis of the kanji which have bushu te-hen was found that there was an semantic change from concrete to abstract, semantic change of a specific meaning to a general, specific of a general meaning to a specific, and semantic change in a positive direction.Key Words: Kanji, Bushu, Te-Hen, Semantic Change

Abstract

Abstract: Positive character portraits of the main character of the film Kaasan Ore Wa Daijoubu can help learners, especially Japanese language students, regarding the positive character potraits contained in the film Kaasan Ore Wa Daijoubu. Both in understanding the meaning and the right types of positive characters so that they can be realized in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain what positive characters and in what situations the potential for positive characters appears in the main characters in the film. The method used is to use the observation technique and note-taking technique. The results of data analysis show that there are seven positive character potraits of the main character in the film Kaasan ore wa daijoubu based on bushido values. Bushido used to be a moral principle possessed by Japanese knights and is now a closely related character value for Japanese society.Key Words: Positive characters, film as a medium of learning, bushido.

Abstract

Abstract: Advertising is a message that connects advertisers with consumers. Anautomotive advertisement titled Toyota Doraemon is made in series using Doraemoncharacter. Toyota insert the advantages of its product in every scene and storyline. As amedium of information, advertisements are interesting to observe and disassemble thecontents of the message so that hidden meaning behind the signs is revealed throughPeirce’s semiotic theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. A data inthis study is collected non-verbal signs and classified based on icons, indexs, andsymbols. From reading the conversational dialogues in manga. Abstract

Abstract: Twitter is one of the largest social media services in the world. The research are purposes to analyzing the formation of wakamono kotoba on social media Twitter with the aim of knowing the types of word formation used. This researchment used Tsujimura's theory of word formation, which is divided into 5 types. The data was analyzed for collecting the secondary, this is because to describe how to do formatting the words. In this research founded that the formation of a wakamono kotoba is not limited to only one type of word formation, but can go through two to three different types of word formation. Abstract

Strategi metakognitif merupakan salah satu strategi belajar bahasa yang digunakan  oleh pembelajar bahasa asing yang berhubungan dengan fokus pada pembelajaran, perencanaan dan evaluasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan strategi metakognitif mahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa Jepang FKIP Universitas Riau. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen dalam penelitian menggunakan angket tertutup dengan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil data deskriptif kuantitatif  menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator strategi metakognitif termasuk kategori tinggi. Pada indikator fokus pembelajaran didapatkan hasil dengan nilai rata-rata (3.51); indikator perencanaan (3.51) dan pada indikator evaluasi (3.57). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penggunaan strategi metakognitif mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang berada dalam kategori tinggi untuk semua indikator strategi metakognitif, yaitu fokus pada pembelajaran, perencanaan dan evaluasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi metakognitif digunakan secara merata oleh mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Jepang FKIP Universitas Riau.

Abstract

Abstrack:This research is describing the product development of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) using a learning model that has never been applied to the dokkai 3 course before, namely the reciprocal teaching. This research includes level 3 research and development (R&D) research, which is developing existing products and also making and testing the effectiveness of these products. The data sources in this study were RPP development media experts and dokkai material experts, as well as 9 Japanese Language Education students from the Riau University FKIP year 2019 as respondents. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire validation test of the feasibility of media development experts and material experts, students response questionnaires, and observations during the learning process. The data analysis in this study is in the form of qualitative descriptive, and quantitative data techniques by carrying out the product development process in accordance with the procedures of the level 3 Development research is carried out continuously until the product lesson plans are declared suitable for use in the dokkai 3 learning process.Key Words: research and development(R&D), RPP, reciprocal teaching, dokkai

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses about the song lyrics that containt conceptual metaphore from soundtrack of animation called “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”. Every singer has a variety of language style of their song lyrics to make it more interesting to hear, like metaphore. In this study, we will discuss about the song lyrics that containt conceptual metaphore from soundtrack of animation called “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”. The data from this study is the song lyrics from anime soundtrack “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” that has conceptual metaphore. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The source of data from this research is 10 types of songs from soundtrack of animation called “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”. There is 4 types of conceptual metaphore found in anime soundtrack of “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”, its structural metaphore, orientasional metaphore, ontological metahpore and personification ontologikal metaphore. Every conceptual metaphor also have their source domain which is the metaphore it self, and target domain as a meaning of the source domain. The results of the analysis of conceptual metahpore that reveal a few types of meaning, like leksical meaning, and conceptual meaning. There also reveal a few types image schemas from the mentioned conceptual metaphor, like force schemas, identity schemas, existence schemas, containtment schemas, and space schemas. Every conceptual meaning has a connection to their image schemas, for example space image schemas have a conceptual meaning like, „emptiness‟, „increasing‟, and „closeness‟.Key Words: Conceptual metaphore, Song lyric, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Abstract: This study aims to determine the forms of conversational implicatures andviolations of the maxim of cooperation in humorous dialogues contained in the SeitokaiYakuindomo anime series.
