Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine the Japanese languagelearning model of high school Japanese language teachers throughout Pekanbaru. The Respondents of this study were 6 Japanese language teachers from four different high schools, namely SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru, SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru, SMA Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Pekanbaru, and SMA Cendana Pekanbaru. The sampling technique of this study was Saturated Sampling. This technique is the determination of the sample whenall members of the population are used as samples. The Data collection techniques was by distributing the questionnaires, conducting the interviews, observation and equipped with documentation. The research method used was quantitative descriptive, Which was Explaining a situation that occurs based on the data (numbers) that have been obtained. The results of this study were, the Japanese language learning model of high school Japanese language teachers in Pekanbaru was in the good category/ always (> 50%) applying the learning model, with an average percentage acquisition of 70.77% and was in accordance with the model 2013 curriculum learning which was centered onstudents.Key Words: 2013 Curriculum, Learning Model, Scientific Approach

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to describe the code switching used on a conversation in 5 Ji Kara 9 Ji Made drama. The purpose of this research is to determine the type of code and the causes of code switching. The object of research in the form of 5 Ji Kara 9 Made drama. This research is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this research were (1) There are 14 data using code switching in dialogue conversations, 10 data included into the type of code switching situational and 4 data is included into the type of code metaphorical (2) the causes of the code switching caused by the speaker, the person said and hearer as: changing the situation from the formal into informal, to benefit themselves, to reinforce their opinions and to demonstrate the ability of a foreign language to the listener. Each of code used by each speaker through the communication to explain what has been achieved from the speech uttered by each speaker where the speech has its own meaning and purpose.Keywords: sociolinguistics, code switching, drama.

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about the errors of using Wa and Ga particle carried out by third grade student japanese education program FKIP Riau University Academic Year 2017/2018. The purpose of this research was to find out and describe the errors in the use of wa and ga particle on what functions were most often performed by students and how students understood the use of wa and ga particle in Japanese sentences. This research is descriptive qualitative, to obtain data, the instrument used in this research is a written test. The object of this research is third grade student japanese education program FKIP Riau University Academic Year 2017/2018 who have passed the bunpou 4 courses which are 32 students. Based on the results of the test, students made more mistakes in the use of wa particle than ga particle. Student errors in the use of wa particle occur mostly in functions to show a thing that contrasts/contradicts what is said behind it (100%) and functions as a topic marker in negative sentences (90,6%). Student errors in the use of ga particle occur mostly in functions to affirm the subject (90,6%) and function to show the subject of intransitive verbs (84,3%).Key Words: Error analysis, Wa and Ga particle

Abstract

Abstract: This research’s goal is to know politeness strategies used by childs when speech a demand and what factors affect politeness when speech. This research object are childs with age range between 5-12 years old from Chibi Maruko Chan manga with demand speech (either demand for goods or service) taken as data. This research used descriptive and qualitative approach to analyze object based on theories used. The research datas taken by read Chibi Maruko Chan manga then group the demand speech by type it. Author use politeness strategies theory by Brown and Levinson. This research result show that childs on Chibi Maruko Chan manga used three kinds politeness strategies when speech a demand, its possitive politeness, negative politeness, and off record. This research could be the basis for further studies involving more subjects to ensure the generalizability of the results.Keywords: politeness strategy, speech act, demand speech

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe and test whether the media story pictures to enhanceunderstanding of the flow of conversation Kaiwa the second semester students (2012-2013)Japanese Language Study Program University of Riau. Learners numbering 42 people (21groups). The results of this study explains that: first, understanding the flow of conversationKaiwa can be improved by using a media story pictures. Before the use of the media, somelearners (respondent) scored below the standard. Secondly, the learners interested andmotivated. It can be seen from the test results. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out the difference of student’s ability in writing Japanese essays (sakubun) after implementing Secret Message Game. The research is conducted using weak experimental type one group pre test post test design. The object of this research is 16 second-level students as the respondents. The sample is taken by using simple random sampling technique. Data collection was performed by giving test and questionnaire. The given test was writing Japanese essays (sakubun) with the topic “hobby”. The writer applies two tests, they are pre test and post test. Pre test is given before the students are taught by implementing Secret Message Game, and post test is given after the students are taught with Secret Message Game. This research is processed by paired sample t-test using software of SPSS Version 16 in order to know whether Ha is accepted or not. Based on the data analysis, the value of the post test in writing Japanese essays is lower than 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). It means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Besides that, most students agree that this game is effectively helping to write Japanese essays (sakubun) easily. The result of this research is that there is a significant impact of using Secret Message Game in learning of Japanese essays (sakubun) on the second-level students of Japanese Education Department Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education Riau University.Key Words: Sakubun, Secret Message Game, Writing Skill

Abstract

Abstract : This research is about the application of learning media word wall in order to improve the students on japanese vocabulary. This research took place in senior high school of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know how the procedures are being implemented and to know the degree of improvement by using media word wall. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The object of this research is was students of grade XI IPA 1 Senior High School of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru as many as 35 persons. This research is conducted in two cycles. The design used is the designed introduced by Kemmis & Mc. Taggart which the research flow includes steps such as: 1) planning, 2) acting, 3) observing, 4) reflecting. The data collection techtiques used are observation, field note, test on each cycle and documentation. On the cycle I, the result is 66%, on the cycle II increased into 77,14%. It can be concluded that the application of learning word wall media in order to improve the students on japanese vocabulary to student grade XI IPA senior high school of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru.Keywords : Vocabulary.Word Wall, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstrak: This research purpose to know about code mixing love expression on japanese song lyric. In addition the purpose of this research is to describe form about kind code mixing love expression on japanese song lyric. Method are use in this research is listening method or observation method. Object of this research is populer song in 2010 until 2012 that the theme is about love. Technical of material collection is reading method, book research method, and writing method. Research result show that in 5 japanese song are an object of the research there is 2 kind form is 5 code mixing love expression concrate phrase and 11 code mixing love expression concrate clause. And from analysis result 5 song that got 27 materials contains language kind which divided in 6 kind language kind that one time mutual manner appear, five time casual manner appear, ten time familiar manner, four time scientific manner, six time colloquial manner appear, and one time bawdy manner appear.Key Words: Mixing code, Language Kind, Songs.

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about the application of Make a Match method in the 5th semester of Japan study program students in Kaiwa subject. The aim of this study was to describe the effectiveness of Make a Match method in improving students Japan study program’s learning outcomes. For this study, the writer used weak experiment research design that was marked by not given a comparison class. The data collection technique that used by giving a test. The result on the Pre-test and Post-test has improvement. The average of students’ Pre-test was 70, while the average of students’ Post-test was 80. The result of the test was processed using T- statistical tests to find out how significant the level of students’ learning outcomes when using Make a Match method. Based on the table output ‘One Sample Test’ above, known sig value is 0.696 < 0.05, then according with the basis of decision making, it could be concluded that Ho was accepted and H1 was rejected. It means that there is significant influences on the use of Make a Match method. This method is effective in improving students learning outcomes in Japan Study Program; Faculty of Education at the University of Riau in Kaiwa Subject.Keywords: effectiveness, Make a Match method, Kaiwa, Japanese language

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of an android-based learning media for learning Japanese vocabulary. Thatbe done at Riau University. This study is a research and development project. The development model used is (1)Potetial problem, (2) Collecting data, (3) Product Desain, (4) Product development, (5) Product revision by supervisor, (6) Product validation,(7) Product revision by material expert and media expert(8) Product test that modified from Sugiyono’s research model. This researcg that be done at Riau University with the subject is active student 3rdgrade in Japanese language study program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Riau University.. The product feasibility testing stage will be done by two expert, that is material expert and media expert. The course participant also testing the product as user. Data collection techniques used a questionnaires, and descriptive analysis for data analysis.The results of study showed that the interactive multimedia was eligible to be implemented as learning media for3rdgrade student in Japanese language study program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Riau University.By material expert, the media get an average score 82.5% that means the media is valid to be used for learning process. By media expert, the media get an average score 88.5% that means the media is valid to be used for learning process. And also, product test toward users have been done, that the media get an average score 82.6% that means the media is valid to be used for learning process.KeyWords: Research&Development, Sugyono method, Descrptive amalysis
