Abstract

The obligation for every student at the end of his study period is research. Students are required to write research to obtain a bachelor's degree. The problem in the field is that most of them do not have experience in conducting research and do not know the right program that can be used to facilitate the process of processing data. Moreover, in operating the data processing program, most students are not capable. Therefore, training is needed for students that aims to provide knowledge and competence to process data using the application of a data processing program, namely Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 21. Training activities use lecture, practice, and discussion methods. This training was successful because there was an increase in students' ability to understand and master SPSS.

Abstract

This paper examines the development of information technology, total factor productivity (TFP), and urbanization of CO2 gas emissions in Indonesia from 1975–2014. To discuss empirically, this study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. There are several results in this study. Firstly, the TFP coefficient value in the short term is lower than the long term, so that the Enviromental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis is not proven. This is one of the causes of rising CO2 gas emissions. Secondly, information technology has a significant impact on the increase of CO2 gas emissions. Thirdly, Indonesia’s urbanization has reduced CO2 gas emissions.

Government expenditure is one of the part of fiscal policy that governs the economy for the realization of people's welfare and the stability of economic activity. One of the government expenditures is used for the health sector, where health is one of important indicator as an effort in realizing public health development. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the effect of government health expenditure on economic growth in ASEAN-9 countries. This paper based on panel data of a sample of 9 countries in ASEAN that consist of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar and Cambodia, using data for the period 2000-2019. The best selection model in this paper is fixed effect model. Empirical results find that health expenditure of GDP have a positive effect to economic growth. Then, the health expenditure of pocket and population have a negative significant effect on economic growth. However, the health expenditure per capita and health expenditure government have no significant effect on economic growth. This suggests that there needs to be an increased of focus on investment and the speed of developing medical services and public health efficiency so as to improve public health and economic growth.

Abstract

The research team behind this study set out to answer this question by looking at how employment rates in Lampung Province were affected by economic growth, unemployment, and provincial minimum wages. This survey takes a quantitative approach, collecting and analyzing secondary data from 2016 through 2022. The data was collected using a documented procedure, and then subjected to SPSS-based multiple regression analysis. This study found that in the municipalities of Lampung Province, the minimum wage did not have a statistically significant negative effect on employment. Reason being, if wages are raised, workers will have enough money to provide for their basic needs as well as the luxuries that make life worth living. If workers' diets improve, worker productivity will increase, resulting in increased production and firms will hire more workers for production.
