Abstract

The partner of this Community Partnership Program (PKM) is LP2M Cokroaminoto University Makassar, South Sulawesi. Initial observations found various problems, namely: (1) not understanding panel data modeling with processing techniques in inputting data into the System Dynamic program which focuses on econometric analysis contained in panel data, (2) not knowing how to interpret or read panel data output. The solution to the problems found was given training with the target participants being students and lecturers of Cokroaminoto University Makassar. The number of participants who participated in this activity was 15 participants. The method approach used in solving existing problems is through lectures, demonstrations, discussions, questions and answers, and partner assistance. The results achieved are (1) partners have knowledge in economic modeling using the System Dynamic application, (2) partners have skills in operating the System Dynamic application, (3) partners have alternative econometric applications for data processing and economic data analysis. The success indicators of this activity can be seen from the participants' increased understanding of economic modeling with the System Dynamic application. Abstract

This research focuses on exchange rate fluctuations in Indonesia during the period of 2005 to 2023, influenced by various economic factors, primarily monetary policy and international trade dynamics. Exchange rate instability is a major concern because it can impact the national economy, including export competitiveness and macroeconomic stability. Consequently, the purpose of this research is to dissect the relationship between interest rates, export values, and wide money as it pertains to currency swings. This study takes a quantitative approach by analyzing the relationship between the dependent and independent variables via multiple linear regression. World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and Statistics Indonesia yearly time series data from 2005 to 2023 is used. The findings show that broad money, interest rates, and export values significantly impact the swings in the Indonesian currency. According to the findings of the multiple linear regression analysis, Interest rates and broad money have a positive and statistically significant effect on changes in exchange rates, but export values have a negative and statistically significant effect. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of appropriate interest rate policies and balanced broad money management to maintain exchange rate stability. Future researchers are advised to include global variables and more complex analysis methods.

Abstract

This study explores the inequality of the potential of the Muslim population in Indonesia that is not realized properly in the amount of capitalization of the ISSI Sharia Capital Market using macroeconomic variables of BI Rate interest rates, Money Supply and Rupiah Exchange Rates for the 2016-2023 Period with the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis method. The population in this study is the ISSI market capitalization with a total of 384 observations of data with a data collection technique, namely Purposive Sampling from the total amount of capitalization of companies listed on the ISSI index with the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis method. The results of this study indicate that in the short term, only the BI Rate interest rate with a t-statistic value of -1.99264 > t-table value of 1.986086317 and the Rupiah exchange rate with a t-statistic value of -2.72958 > t-table of 1.986086317 which means it has a negative influence on ISSI stock capitalization while the Money Supply variable does not have a significant influence on ISSI stock capitalization with a t-statistic value [-1.02110 < t-table of 1.986086317. In the long term, the BI Rate interest rate contributes negatively to the capitalization of ISSI shares while the Money Supply and Rupiah Exchange Rate have a significant positive influence on the capitalization of ISSI shares -3.76772> t-table of 0.26454 and the Rupiah Exchange Rate with a t-statistic value of -3.38406> t-table of 0.26454 which means that the amount of money in circulation and the rupiah exchange rate have a negative influence on the number of investors. In the long term, the BI Rate interest rate contributes negatively to the capitalization of ISSI shares with a t-statistic value of [-2.13166> t-table of 1.986086317 while the Money Supply and Rupiah Exchange Rate have a significant positive influence on the capitalization of ISSI shares with a t-statistic value greater than the t table, respectively with values of 8.72868 and 2.64624

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to empower housewives by providing training on how to process seaweed, which is rich in nutrients and a source of protein, into products with high economic value. Through socialization, instruction, hands-on practice, and mentorship, content is provided through the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) approach. The findings are that most housewives are unemployed and have a lot of free time not used for productive activities due to the lack of knowledge and skills in processing seaweed. The results of implementing this community service are an increase in knowledge and skills by 98% in processing seaweed combined with milkfish into products with economic value in the form of mini pastels, meatballs, and nuggets. Product marketing training activities: by practicing using online media, only eight people (20%) can understand how to use social media well. The rest of the participants do not have an Android cellphone, and some have cellphones but do not understand how to use social media. In addition, there are also obstacles to understanding technology, especially among older people or those less familiar with digital devices. This seaweed processing and marketing activity is expected to provide added value to seaweed commodities and provide additional income for seaweed farming families.

Abstract

The problem of stunting in Indonesia, especially in Jeneponto Regency, is a major challenge that affects the quality of human resources (HR). This study aims to identify internal and external environmental conditions that affect the prevalence of stunting in Jeneponto Regency, as well as to formulate and determine priority strategies in local government efforts to reduce stunting rates. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with a population of 383 people. The research sample consisted of 80 randomly selected respondents, as well as 7 expert respondents who had in-depth knowledge of stunting issues in the area. The data analysis technique used was SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method with the help of the Expert Choice application to determine the most appropriate and relevant priority strategies. The results of the study showed that the local government's strategy in reducing the prevalence of stunting was in Quadrant I (Growth-Oriented Strategy). These results indicate that the stunting reduction program is in a fairly advantageous position by utilizing internal strengths as basic capital and available external opportunities. The alternative strategic priorities produced are community empowerment through education on the use of PKH assistance and other social assistance, as well as combining stunting reduction programs with family welfare improvement programs through economic empowerment, nutritious food processing training, and increasing access to easily accessible health facilities
