Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using Gemini as a learning medium in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Fundamentals of Office Management and Business Services in class X MPLB SMKS PGRI 2 Sidoarjo. The research method used was an experiment with a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 36 students in class X MP 1 as the experimental class and 36 students in class X MP 2 as the control class. Data were obtained from observations, tests, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used normality tests, homogeneity tests, N-Gain tests, and hypothesis tests. The hypothesis test results showed a significance value of less than 0,05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and HA is accepted, meaning that Gemini has an effect on student learning outcomes

Abstract

Work readiness is a critical aspect for graduates of Vocational High Schools (SMK) to succeed in the workforce. It is influenced by various internal and external factors, including field work experience (PKL), self-perception, and employability skills. This study aims to analyze the impact of PKL experience and self-perception on work readiness among students enrolled in the Office Management and Business Services Specialty Program (MPLB) in Jombang District, using employability skills as an intervention variable. The study employs a quantitative exploratory research design, with a sample of 149 students selected via proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis with SPSS 25, along with a Sobel test to examine mediation effects. The research findings indicate that PKL experience and self-concept have a significant positive impact on employability skills. Furthermore, self-concept and employability skills significantly enhance job readiness, whereas PKL experience does not directly affect it. Mediation analysis reveals that employability skills fully mediate the effect of PKL experience on job readiness and partially mediate the effect of self-concept on job readiness. These findings demonstrate that improvements in students' job readiness depend not only on PKL experience but also on strengthening self-concept and developing employability skills

Abstract

This study aims to develop Genially-based interactive learning media for the Public Speaking course at SMKN 2 Tuban and to test the feasibility of the developed media. This study was motivated by the lack of a student handbook for the Public Speaking course and the limited use of interactive learning media, resulting in a learning process that tends to be teacher-centered and does not sufficiently support student engagement. Given that the Public Speaking course requires mastery of communication skills through the presentation of contextual, visual, and interactive material, Genially-based media was chosen because it can integrate various multimedia elements that support understanding of the material, increase student engagement, and facilitate more independent learning. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects included subject matter experts, media experts, and 31 students from Class XI MPLB 3 at SMKN 2 Tuban. The research instruments used included subject matter expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods, specifically by calculating the validation percentages from the subject matter experts and student responses to determine the level of suitability of the instructional media. The results showed that the Genially-based interactive instructional media received a 78.67% approval rate from subject matter experts (classified as “suitable”) and a 94.67% approval rate from media experts (classified as “highly suitable”). The average validation result was 86.67%, so the media was deemed highly suitable for use in the learning process. In addition, the media received positive responses from students and is suitable for use as learning media. It enhances subject matter understanding, increases interest in learning, and supports more interactive and independent learning. Thus, Genially-based interactive learning media is suitable for use as learning media in the Public Speaking course at SMKN 2 Tuban. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Genially pada mata pelajaran Public Speaking di SMKN 2 Tuban serta menguji kelayakan media yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum tersedianya buku pegangan peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Public Speaking serta masih terbatasnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran interaktif, sehingga proses pembelajaran cenderung berpusat pada guru dan kurang mendukung keterlibatan peserta didik. Mengingat mata pelajaran Public Speaking menuntut penguasaan keterampilan komunikasi melalui penyajian materi yang kontekstual, visual, dan interaktif, media berbasis Genially dipilih karena mampu mengintegrasikan berbagai elemen multimedia yang dapat mendukung pemahaman materi, meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik, serta memfasilitasi pembelajaran yang lebih mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas validator ahli materi, validator ahli media, dan peserta didik kelas XI MPLB 3 SMKN 2 Tuban sebanyak 31 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi ahli materi, lembar validasi ahli media, dan angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu dengan menghitung persentase hasil validasi dari para ahli dan respon siswa untuk menentukan tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Genially memperoleh persentase sebesar 78,67% dari ahli materi dengan kategori layak dan 94,67% dari ahli media dengan kategori sangat layak. Rata-rata hasil validasi sebesar 86,67% sehingga media dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, media memperoleh respon positif dari peserta didik dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. materi, meningkatkan minat belajar, serta mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mandiri. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Genially layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Public Speaking di SMKN 2 Tuban.
