Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of a science instrument analysis based on Facione's critical thinking theory. The method used in this study was qualitative descriptive. The research subject was a 5th grade science instrument of Angkasa Colomadu Elementary School. Data collected with document analysis and interview. The validity test used for the data was technical triangulation. This research using Miles and Huberman's data-analysis techniques of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Analysis result shows that the science instrument went in less than the criteria with a 29.91% score. Based on each analysis of critical thinking indicator of Facione for the 5th grade science's final semester exam (PAS) of Angkasa Colomadu Elementary School, the dividend score on an interpretation indicator of 5.83% in the category has not met; Undermeeting category of 22.22% analysis indicator; 10.56% evaluation indicator with category not met; 25.01% inference indicator with less than met category; 15.83% explanation indicators in unmet categories; And a 100% self-regulation indicator with a very well-met category. Therefore, Facione's critical thinking indicator was inadequate. This study can be used as a reference for teachers, school, and the government to optimize the quality of assessment and students critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan analisis komprehensif tentang computational thinking dalam pembelajaran IPAS Sekolah Dasar. Desain penelitian berupa review terhadap jurnal yang terbit dalam sinta 6 hingga sinta 1 dalam kurun waktu 2010-2024.  Menurut berbagai sumber literatur, computational thinking atau dikenal dengan istilah computational thinking merupakan suatu kemampuan yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan untuk memecahkan masalah dan membangun solusi dengan menggunakan dasar-dasar ilmu komputer yang melibatkan proses penalaran logis dalam upaya memecahkan masalah, serta membuat suatu prosedur atau sistem menjadi lebih mudah dipahami. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa computational thinking dalam pembelajaran IPAS dapat melatih peserta didik berpikir secara terstruktur, kreatif, logis, serta meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan literasi kaitannya dalam ranah sains. Computational thinking dalam pembelajaran IPAS dapat membantu peserta didik dalam pembelajaran aktif-mandiri, pendekatan sistematis-logis untuk matematika dan sains, serta mempersiapkan menghadapi tantangan di era modern. Computational thinking juga bermanfaat bagi guru dalam membimbing peserta didik menyelesaikan masalah secara efektif yang berpengaruh pada prestasi belajar.

Abstract

One of the factors that affect student discipline is the habituation to be disciplined. Schools can apply or instill discipline habituation through extracurricular activities. Scout extracurricular is one of the activities that can support character education and the formation of children's discipline. Scouts have a very important role in the process of character building, values, discipline and responsibility in accordance with article 3 of Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (National Education System). The research was carried out at SDN Mangkubumen Kidul No 16 Surakarta as an instrument trial, SDN Mangkubumen Lor No 15 Surakarta, SDN Bratan 2, and SDN Bratan 3 in January 2023 – January 2024. The research approach used is a quantitative approach in the form of an associative problem formulation of causal relationships. The sampling technique in this study uses probability sampling, namely Cluster random sampling. The data collection technique uses a Likert scale  questionnaire with closed statements. The instrument validity test in this study uses content validity with   the Gregory  formula and reliability test using the Alpha Cronbach formula. The normality test in this study used  the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the linearity test using the test of linearity. The hypothesis testing techniques used in this study are simple regression analysis including correlation analysis, meaningfulness test, and coefficient of determination. The result of the correlation coefficient between extracurricular scouting and student discipline is 0.635 and is classified as a strong correlation. The results of the significance test obtained > results so that it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between extracurricular scouting on student discipline and the contribution of scouting extracurricular influence on student discipline by 40.3% while 59.7% is influenced by other factors that were not studied in this study.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dengan metode Design Thinking terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dalam pembelajaran IPA pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Laweyan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan satu kali tes. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD di Kecamatan Laweyan yang berjumlah 56 siswa. Sumber data berasal dari siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes deskripsi. Analisis validitas dan normalitas data menggunakan korelasi product moment dan Uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov melalui aplikasi SPSS 16.0 for windows. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi-experimental yang diterapkan pada Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan uji regresi linier sederhana pada aplikasi SPSS 16.0 diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-talled) sebesar 0,025 < 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dengan metode Design Thinking terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil nilai signifikansi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis kerja (Ha) yang berbunyi “Ada Pengaruh Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dengan Metode Design Thinking berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada pembelajaran IPA kelas IV SD di Kabupaten Laweyan” diterima.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Project Based Learning with the Design Thinking method on creative thinking skills in science learning in fourth grade elementary school students in Laweyan District. This research is a quantitative research. The study was conducted with one test. The subjects of the research were the fourth grade students of SD in Laweyan District, totaling 56 students. Sources of data come from students. The data collection technique used a description test. Data validity and normality analysis using product moment correlation and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test through SPSS 16.0 for windows application. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach that is applied to Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results showed that based on a simple linear regression test on the SPSS 16.0 application, a significance value (2-talled) of 0.025 <0.05 indicates that there is an effect of Project Based Learning with the Design Thinking method on creative thinking skills. Based on the results of the significance value, it can be concluded that the working hypothesis (Ha) which reads "There is an Effect of Project Based Learning with the Design Thinking method has an effect on creative thinking skills in science learning for grade IV SD in Laweyan District" is accepted.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan video animasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V SD di Kecamatan Laweyan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan satu kali tes. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Laweyan yang berjumlah 51 siswa. Sumber data berasal dari siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes beralasan pilihan ganda. Analisis validitas dan normalitas data menggunakan korelasi product moment melalui aplikasi SPSS 16.0 for windows dengan teknik Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan yang diterapkan adalah Quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan Uji Regresi Linier Sederhana pada aplikasi SPSS 16.0 diperoleh nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,013 < 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan video animasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis. . Kesimpulan penelitian adalah ada pengaruh Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan video animasi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Laweyan.This research objective was to determine the effect of video animation-assisted problem-based learning (PBL) on Fifth grade elementary school critical thinking skills in scientific learning in Laweyan District. This research is a quantitative research. The study was conducted with one test. The research subjects were fifth grade elementary school students in Laweyan district, totaling 51 students. Sources of data come from students. The method of data collecting employed a multiple choice reasoned test. Data validity and normality analysis using product moment correlation through SPSS 16.0 for windows application using Kolmogorov-Smirnov technique. This study uses an approach that is applied is Quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The results showed that based on the Simple Linear Regression Test on the SPSS 16.0 application, a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.013 < 0.05 indicates that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by animated video on critical thinking skills. The research's conclusion is that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by animated videos on critical thinking skills in science learning for fifth grade elementary school in Laweyan District.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) the effect of learning interest on the numeracy literacy skills of fifth grade elementary school students 2) the effect of critical thinking skills on the fifth grade elementary school students' numeracy literacy skills, 3) the effect of learning interest and critical thinking skills on the numeracy literacy of fifth grade elementary school students. The research method used is a quantitative research method with an associative research design. The population of this study were all fifth grade elementary school students in Laweyan District with a sample of 53 fifth grade elementary school students. The results obtained in this study are: (1) there is a positive influence between learning interest on the numeracy literacy skills of fifth grade elementary school students in Laweyan District with a large influence of 23.1%, (2) there is a positive influence between thinking skills critical of the numeracy literacy ability of fifth grade elementary school students in Laweyan District with a large influence of 23.8%, (3) there is a positive influence between learning interest and critical thinking ability together on the digital literacy ability of fifth grade elementary school students throughout Laweyan District with a large influence of 29.9%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan eksperimen siswa kelas V dalam pembelajaran sains dan teknologi, yang dibingkai dalam teori adaptasi Jean Piaget di SD Negeri Gonilan 02. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, khususnya desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data mengikuti model deskriptif interaktif yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman, yang melibatkan tahap-tahap seperti pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Mayoritas siswa kelas lima menunjukkan keterampilan eksperimen yang sesuai dengan indikator seperti observasi, klasifikasi, inferensi, komunikasi, dan penggunaan alat/bahan. Sebagian besar siswa (92,71%) mengalami kemajuan melalui tahapan asimilasi, akomodasi, dan ekuilibrasi Piaget selama kegiatan pembelajaran sains. Siswa menunjukkan antusiasme selama pembelajaran sains, tetapi kurang menjelaskan materi yang digunakan selama diskusi (12 siswa). Perilaku pasif teramati pada rata-rata 8 siswa (7,29%), yang ditandai dengan diam, melamun, dan bermain sendiri.Kata Kunci: Keterampilan bereksperimen, siswa, pembelajaran sains, dan sekolah dasar Analysis of experimental skills of grade V students in IPAS learning based on Jean Piaget's Adaptation Theory Abstract: This study aims to analyze the experimental skills of fifth-grade students in science and technology learning, framed within Jean Piaget's adaptation theory at SD Negeri Gonilan 02. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, specifically a case study design. The data collection technique in this study is conducted using in-depth interviews and document analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive descriptive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, involving stages such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. A majority of fifth-grade students demonstrated experimental skills aligned with indicators such as observation, classification, inference, communication, and tool/material utilization. Most students (92.71%) progressed through Piaget's stages of assimilation, accommodation, and equilibration during science learning activities. Students exhibited enthusiasm during science learning but lacked explanations for the material used during discussions (12 students). Passive behavior was observed in an average of 8 students (7.29%), characterized by silence, daydreaming, and solitary play.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional Nusantara kaya akan nilai budaya dan edukasi, namun kurang optimal dalam pemanfaatannya sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji strategi optimalisasi permainan tradisional Nusantara bagi guru SD di Indonesia. Artikel ini merupakan kajian literatur terkait permainan tradisional Nusantara dan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini yaitu kajian literatur dengan mencari referensi teori yang relevan dengan kasus atau permasalahan yang ditemukan. Hasil kajian literatur ditemukan berbagai strategi optimalisasi permainan tradisional Nusantara, antara lain integrasi dengan materi pelajaran, modifikasi aturan dan permainan, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran, dan penyelenggaraan festival permainan tradisional. Implementasi strategi tersebut menunjukkan hasil positif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik kasar dan halus, kerjasama tim dan komunikasi, dan pengetahuan budaya dan nilai-nilai luhur. Kesimpulan hasil kajian literatur yaitu optimalisasi permainan tradisional nusantara dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between visual literacy and computational thinking among fifth-grade elementary school students in Argomulyo District. Visual literacy refers to students' ability to understand, interpret, and communicate information through visual media, while computational thinking refers to the ability to think logically, systematically, and structurally in solving problems. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population in this study was all fifth-grade students from various elementary schools in the Argomulyo subdistrict, and the sample consisted of fifth-grade students at SDN Cebongan 03, SDN Noborejo 01, SDN Randuacir 02, and SDN Randuacir 03. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. Data collection was conducted using an essay-type test. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests that had been validated by experts. The validation techniques used included validity tests and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques used prerequisite analysis tests, namely normality and linearity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using simple correlation tests. The results of this study show that visual literacy and computational thinking have a positive and significant relationship that can be explained through the interconnection between visual literacy and computational thinking. The data analysis results indicate a significant relationship between visual literacy and computational thinking, as evidenced by a significance level of <0.05. This finding suggests that the higher the visual literacy skills of students, the better their computational thinking abilities. Therefore, developing learning that effectively integrates visual elements can be a strategy to enhance students' computational thinking skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate differences in creative thinking abilities among students in the fifth grade when employing problem based learning versus case based learning in science education. A quantitative research approach was utilized in this study with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 23 students from class VA and 20 students from Class VB at SD N 1 Delanggu. Data were obtained through pre-test and post-tests administered before and after the learning interventions. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests. Findings revealed no significant difference between the two instructional approaches (sig = 0.095 > sig 0.05). Consequently, both approaches demonstrate comparable effectiveness in fostering creative thinking skills. This study indicates that educators may employ either PBL or CBL, provided adjustments are made to suit student characteristics and learning objectives. This research may also serve as a reference for other scholars in related fields.
