Abstract

Guru-guru MAN 3 Banjar telah menggunakan model pembelajaran dengan cukup baik. Namun, mereka belum mengenal model-model pembelajaran mutakhir dan inovatif. Mereka juga belum pernah menggunakan simulasi PhET di pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diadakanlah pelatihan inovasi pembelajaran ini. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memperkenalkan model-model pembelajaran inovatif dan simulasi PhET kepada para guru MAN 3 Banjar dan menelaah model dan simulasi tersebut. Metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah presentasi, ceramah, tanya jawab, dan penugasan. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan inovasi pembelajaran ini adalah 50 orang. Kegiatan diadakan selama satu hari, yakni Sabtu, 14 Mei 2022. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara hybrid. Berdasarkan evaluasi yang dilakukan terhadap kegiatan ini diketahui bahwa para guru telah mengenal dan mampu menelaah model-model pembelajaran dan simulasi PhET. Model dan simulasi tersebut selanjutnya dapat digunakan di kelas. Adapun rata-rata nilai evaluasi tersebut adalah 83,07. Selain itu, para peserta puas dengan kegiatan pelatihan ini dengan rata-rata skor kepuasan 4,16 dengan kategori baik. Dengan demikian, kegiatan yang dilaksanakan berhasil menjadikan guru-guru mengenal dan menelaah model-model pembelajaran inovatif dan simulasi PhET.  MAN 3-Banjar teachers have used the learning model quite well. However, they needed to familiarize themselves with the latest and most innovative learning models. They also have never used PhET simulations in their learning. Therefore, this learning innovation training was held. This community service activity aimed to introduce innovative learning models and PhET simulations to the teachers of MAN 3 Banjar and examine these models and simulations. The methods of this community service activity were presentations, lectures, questions and answers, and assignments. The number of participants participating in this learning innovation training was 50. The activity was held for one day, Saturday, May 14, 2022. The activity was carried out in a hybrid manner. Based on the evaluation carried out on this activity, it was found that the teachers were familiar with and able to review PhET learning models and simulations. These models and simulations can then be used in class. The average evaluation value was 83.07. In addition, the participants were satisfied with this training activity, with an average satisfaction score of 4.16 in the good category. Thus, the activities succeeded in getting teachers to know and examine innovative learning models and PhET simulations.

Abstract

Guru-guru di MAN 3 selama ini masih belum bisa membuat video pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Oleh karena itu, dilakukanlah pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran dengan aplikasi tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan mendesain video pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva oleh para guru MAN 3 Banjar. Metode kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, presentasi, penugasan, dan tanya jawab. Semua metode tersebut diterapkan secara tatap muka (luring). Jumlah guru yang menjadi peserta kegiatan ini sebanyak 50 orang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam satu hari, yaitu pada Sabtu, 14 Mei 2022. Berdasarkan observasi diketahui bahwa peserta mengikuti kegiatan dengan penuh perhatian dan antusiasme yang tinggi. Mereka bersedia mengikuti langkah-langkah pembuatan video pembelajaran. Selain itu, video yang dibuat sudah cukup baik. Desain videonya pun cukup bervariasi. Secara umum, para peserta telah mampu membuat video dengan rata-rata skor 3,70 dengan kategori baik. Jadi, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berhasil diselenggarakan karena menjadikan para peserta dapat membuat video pembelajaran dengan aplikasi Canva.  So far, teachers at MAN 3 have not been able to make learning videos using the Canva application. Therefore, training was carried out on making learning videos with the application. Man 3 Banjar teachers participated in this community service activity to design learning videos using the Canva application. The methods of this activity were lectures, presentations, assignments, and questions and answers. All of these methods were applied face-to-face (offline). The number of teachers who participated in this activity was 50. The activity was carried out in one day, on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Based on observations, it was known that the participants took part in the activity with great attention and enthusiasm. They were willing to follow the steps for making learning videos. Other than that, the videos that were made are quite good. The design of the video was quite varied. In general, the participants could make videos with an average score of 3.70 in the good category. So, this community service activity was successful because it enabled the participants to make learning videos with the Canva application.

Abstract

The background of this community service activity was the need for continuous instilling of religious values to students so that they could internalize these values properly. The purpose of this community service was to instill religious values into students through Tahsin Al-Qur'an activities where the verses were relevant to science. This activity was carried out online and offline at the Ma'had Al-Jami'ah Dormitory II of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin from February to November 2021. The methods used in this service were assignments, exercises, and lectures. The number of service participants was 41 students of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The Tahsin Al-Qur'an was carried out well. After this activity was carried out, students could read the Qur'an properly and correctly and recognized the verses of the Qur'an that contain science.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya pemberdayaan perempuan agar mereka mampu memproduksi kerajinan tradisional dari purun sehingga bisa menunjang perekonomian keluarga. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melatih para perempuan membuat kerajian tradisional dari purun sehingga dapat menjalankan usaha secara mandiri. Selain itu, disisipkan pula konsep umum fisika pada proses pembuatan kerajinan purun agar peserta pelatihan mengetahui bahwa sains ada di sekitar masyarakat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Sekretariat Desa Muara Tapus Hulu Sungai Utara pada hari Kamis tanggal 8 Juli 2021. Metode pelatihan ini adalah ceramah dan praktek. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan ini sebanyak 15 orang perempuan. Pelatihan berjalan dengan berhasil. Hal ini ditandai dengan mampunya peserta membuat kerajinan purun.

Abstract

Learning outcomes in basic physics courses still show a low average score for students. This shows that the learning process has not achieved the expected target. It was necessary to innovate to overcome these problems by developing models and teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to describe the practicality of the introduction, connection, application, reflection, and extension-paradigm of reflective pedagogy learning model and the practicality of using biophy magazine teaching materials. This research is part of educational design research to the stage of formative evaluation test on a one-to-one, small group and field test. Data on the practicality of the learning model were obtained through observations of the implementation of learning carried out by two observers. Data on the practicality of teaching materials were obtained from questionnaires given to students. Based on these results, practicality of models and teaching materials were then categorized into five categories, very practical, practical, quite practical, less practical, and very less practical. The results showed that the lecturers had carried out each stage very well so that the results of the observer's assessment showed a very practical category in individual, small group and field tests. Student activities were classified as very practical in individual tests and field tests, while in small group trials, they were quite practical. Therefore, ICARE-PPR learning was classified as very practical. Biophy Magazine's teaching materials based on the floating market as a result of development are also classified as very practical with easy, efficient, useful and attractive for students

Abstract

Lecturers are required to carry out learning as well as professionally. Lecturers must apply student-centered learning models in lectures so students can study well. This research aimed to develop a valid WASAKA (Write, Analyze, Argue, Knowledge Development, and Act) learning model that can be implemented in the classroom and gets a good response from students who study heat and temperature in higher education. This research used Educational Design Research (EDR) research. The subjects of this study were 28 students studying heat and temperature in the Fundamental Physics course. Data collection techniques in this research were observation and an online survey using the Google form with the cross-sectional survey design method. The research instruments used were validation sheets, observation sheets, and response questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Aiken formula and descriptive statistics. The results showed that the WASAKA learning model had content validity of 0.87-0.93 with valid categories; the average implementation of the model in terms of lecturer activities is 4.99 with a very good category; the average implementation of the model in terms of student activities is 4.87 with a very good category, and students gave a very good response to the model. This research concluded that the learning model developed was valid, implemented, and responded well by students. Thus, the learning model can be applied in Fundamental Physics lectures, especially in Higher Education heat and temperature topics.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an ECIRR (Elicit, Confront, Identify, Resolve, and Reinforce) learning model containing Indonesian local wisdom on mechanics in Fundamental Physics lectures. The type of research was Research and Development with the ADDIE model. The number of samples in this study was 28, chosen by purposive sampling. The instruments of this research were validation sheets, observation sheets, and response questionnaires. Data analysis used the Aiken formula and descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the study, it was known that the validity of the content of the learning model was 1.00 with a valid category; the average implementation of lecturer activities was 4.56 with a very good category; the average implementation of student activities was 4.36 with a very good category; and the student response to the model was good. This research concluded that the learning model developed was valid, can be implemented in lectures, and gets a good response from students. Thus, the learning model that has been developed can be used on the topic of mechanics in Fundamental Physics lectures.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe students' responses to the ECIRR learning model that contained Nusantara's local wisdom on the topic of linear motion and to describe the implementation of the learning model during trials in small groups. The type of this research and development was ADDIE. The subjects of the small group were ten students who learned Fundamental Physics. The data instruments were response questionnaires and observation sheets. The data analysis technique was descriptive statistics. Based on the data analysis, it was known that the students gave a positive response to the developed learning model. In addition, implementing the learning model in lectures was very good. Thus, it can be concluded that the ECIRR learning model containing local wisdom can be used in the Fundamental Physics lecture on linear motion.

Abstract

Maraknya perundungan yang terjadi di lingkungan sekolah dan kurangnya pemahaman siswa terkait bahaya psikologis dari tindakan bullying sehingga sekolah menginginkan diadakannya seminar anti bullying. Seminar dalam rangka pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan pemahaman kepada siswa untuk tidak melakukan tindakan perundungan di sekolah dan memberi wawasan kepada siswa tentang cara mengatasi kesulitan belajar fisika sehingga mereka termotivasi dan berminat mempelajari fisika. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode PAR (Participatory Action Research). Peserta kegiatan adalah siswa SMAN 5 Banjarbaru sejumlah 75 orang. Kegiatan seminar terselenggara secara luring dengan baik dan lancar pada Selasa, 16 Mei 2023. Peserta didik mendapatkan pemahaman bahwa bullying termasuk tindakan agresif yang dilakukan secara berulang-ulang dan menimbulkan dampak negatif tidak hanya bagi pelaku tetapi juga korban. Perserta didik juga mendapatkan pemahaman bagaimana mengatasi kesulitan belajar fisika dengan cara merubah cara berpikir bahwa fisika itu mudah, memahami setiap konsep dan rumus fisika, sering mengerjakan latihan soal dan membuat peta konsep atau catatan-catatan penting. Setelah kegiatan seminar dilakukan diketahui bahwa sikap siswa dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar fisika adalah 67,7% berada pada kategori tinggi dan sikap anti bullying siswa adalah 81% pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, seminar yang telah dilaksanakan sangat bermanfaat dalam menambah wawasan siswa.The rise of bullying that occurs in the school environment and the lack of understanding of students regarding the psychological dangers of bullying actions that the school wants to hold an anti-bullying seminar. This seminar in the community service framework aims to instill understanding in students about not bullying at school and provide insight to students on how to overcome physics learning difficulties so that they are motivated and interested in studying physics. The PAR (Participatory Action Research) method is used in this community service. The participants were 75 students of SMAN 5 Banjarbaru. The seminar was held offline well and smoothly on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Learners gained an understanding that bullying is an aggressive act that is carried out repeatedly and has a negative impact not only on the perpetrator but also on the victim. Students also understand how to overcome physics learning difficulties by changing their thinking that physics is easy, understanding every physics concept and formula, often doing practice questions, and making concept maps or important notes. After the seminar, it is known that students' attitude in overcoming physics learning difficulties is 67.7% in the high category, and the anti-bullying attitude of students is 81% in the medium category. Thus, the seminars carried out are very useful in helping students overcome physics learning difficulties.

Abstract

AbstractBased on the results of observations, it was known that this village had natural potential in the form of large and soil tracts of land. The people are also religious. However, this still lacks innovative and creative human resources in carrying out various activities. In addition, in this village there was no use of land as a medium for planting family medicine. The purpose of this Real Work Lecture (KKN) was to implement various programs that can encourage the progress of Rangas Village. The location of this KKN was in Rangas Village, Batang Alai Selatan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The methods used in this community service activity are PAR and ABCD. The activities were carried out from 19 September 2022 to 19 October 2022. The results of the KKN showed that the villages have been helped by the programs implemented. The KKN programs can become a reference for villages to re-implement similar programs.AbstrakBerdasarkan hasil observasi diketahui bahwa desa ini memiliki potensi alam berupa lahan yang luas dan subur. Masyarakatnya pun religius. Namun, desa ini masih kekurangan sumber daya manusia yang inovatif dan kreatif untuk melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan. Selain itu, di desa ini belum ada pemanfaatan tanah sebagai media tanamam obat keluarga. Tujuan dari Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) ini adalah mengimplementasikan berbagai program yang dapat mendorong kemajuan Desa Rangas. Lokasi KKN ini di Desa Rangas Kecamatan Batang Alai Selatan, Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah PAR dan ABCD. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 19 September 2022 sampai dengan 19 Oktober 2022. Hasil KKN menunjukkan desa terbantu dengan berbagai program yang dilaksanakan. Program KKN yang dilaksanakan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi desa untuk kembali melaksanakan program serupa.
