Abstract

The Indonesian government mandated PMK 24 of 2022 concerning Medical Records as a challenge for health service facilities in Indonesia to develop Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Risk management plays an important role in every stage of the system development life cycle (SDLC). Risk assessment is the first stage in the risk management method. This research aims to explore risks in RME development in an effort to determine risk mitigation for RME development in the SDLC framework. The results of this research show the identification of risks based on hardware, software, vulnerability to technological change, vulnerability to instability in technology supply, project failure, regulatory and compliance impact. These categories of risks are outlined in the SDLC framework including the initiation, development, implementation, maintenance and disposal phases. Next, probability and impact measurements are carried out, to analyze the level of risk with low, medium and high determinants. The existence of this risk level makes it easier for stakeholders to identify appropriate controls to reduce or eliminate risks during the risk mitigation process. The output of this research is presented in the form of a risk register. The conclusion of this research shows that risks in high determinants require mitigation efforts from the aspects of regulations, infrastructure and human resources.

Abstract

In this study, we propose an ensemble learning approach to classify viral infection presence in mice using the Mouse Viral Infection Study Dataset. The dataset includes two numerical features—volumes of two administered medications—and a binary label indicating viral presence. To improve prediction performance, we combined K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Decision Tree (DT) classifiers within a soft voting ensemble framework. Standardization was applied as a preprocessing step to ensure fair feature contribution, especially for the distance-sensitive KNN. The ensemble model underwent hyperparameter optimization using GridSearchCV with 5-fold cross-validation to fine-tune the number of neighbors for KNN and depth-related parameters for DT. The experimental results demonstrated that the ensemble classifier achieved perfect performance, with 100% accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score on the test set. The confusion matrix showed no misclassifications, and the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve achieved an Area Under Curve (AUC) of 1.00, indicating excellent separability between classes. These results suggest that the proposed ensemble effectively leverages the strengths of both KNN and DT, making it suitable for biomedical classification tasks where interpretability and reliability are critical. Although the model performed exceptionally well, the simplicity of the dataset, including balanced classes and clear feature boundaries, may have contributed to the ideal performance. Thus, while the findings are promising, further validation is necessary using more complex or noisy datasets. This study contributes a practical, interpretable, and effective ensemble learning framework for binary classification problems in experimental virology, and opens pathways for further research in preclinical biomedical data analytics using hybrid classification systems.

Abstract

Sekar Makmur Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Trimulyo Village, Jetis Sub-district, Bantul Regency is a productive community focusing on processing agricultural products such as cassava chips, bio-char briquettes, and organic compost. Nevertheless, their production capacity and product value remain limited due to several constraints: traditional cassava slicing, frying that relies on firewood and gas, a relatively long composting process, and unutilized rice-husk waste. This community service program aimed to enhance production efficiency and capacity through the application of appropriate technology (TTG) while strengthening managerial skills and digital marketing strategies to broaden market reach. The program was carried out in five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, technology utilization assistance, and sustainability planning. Results show significant improvements in production, management, and marketing aspects. The TTG application increased empowerment levels: cassava slicing machine by 19.15%, rice-husk bio-char briquettes by 100%, and compost mixer by 12%. These outcomes demonstrate that appropriate technology combined with improved managerial capacity and digital marketing effectively raises product competitiveness, promotes sustainable agriculture, and empowers rural women, providing a replicable model of community empowerment. Abstract

The background of this program lies in the escalating waste management issues in Bantul Regency, which have become increasingly urgent following the closure of the Piyungan Final Waste Processing Site (TPST). The designated partner, SS Sido Resik Waste Bank, encounters three principal challenges: (1) the absence of inorganic waste processing technologies to enhance economic value, (2) the unavailability of equipment to dry wet waste, which complicates the sorting process, and (3) the lack of a system to convert organic waste into compost fertilizer. To address these issues, the implementing team introduced three units of Appropriate Technology (AT): the Plastic Waste Shredding Machine, the Rotary Dryer, and the Organic Magobox. The implementation process was carried out through five systematic stages: socialization, training, technological application, mentoring and evaluation, and sustainability planning. All units of AT were successfully adopted and operated by the partner institution, thereby directly mitigating the identified problems. The adoption of these technologies demonstrated a measurable and positive impact on community empowerment. The Plastic Waste Shredding Machine achieved a 100% utility rate, as it introduced a shredding process that was previously unavailable. The Rotary Dryer attained a 75% utility rate, as reflected in the reduction of drying time from 60 minutes to 15 minutes. The Organic Magobox achieved a 33.3% utility rate, corresponding to its use over 20 days out of the 60-day cycle required for compost production.
