Abstract

Homestays are an alternative form of community-based accommodation that allows tourists to experience local wisdom in the community. Homestays in Borobudur Superprioritas-Tourist-Destinations should provide a comfortable accommodation option for tourists. However, they have not been managed optimally yet since limitation resources. This study aims to determine the service factors related to homestay occupancy.This research was part of the need assessment of homestay improvement programs. This study was observational-quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The respondents were twenty-two owners and managers of homestays in Candirejo Borobudur Village. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaire and analyzed by fisher-exact-testThe results showed that the quality of service related to occupancy. The service items associated with occupancy were booking procedures, payment notes, and rate information. Furthermore, factors associated with excellent service were older age and participation in homestay management training.

Abstract

Tourism destination business management is starting to merge with technological developments. In an effort to adapt, the use of e-marketing in the tourism destination business is assisted by various digital platforms, one of which is Instagram. Instagram was chosen because it has many users in a wide range and the features it offers really help e-marketing activities in a business. The sample loci used in this research were Kopeng Treetop and Guci Forest. This locus was chosen because both of them have mutually satisfying similarities so that comparisons can be made. Using the mix method, researchers analyzed the data obtained from collecting data on likes, comments and the number of posts, then calculated it using a simple quantitative model and supported it by documentation, then analyzed it using triangulation to get in-depth thinking results. The research results found that there were similarities and differences in the use of Instagram e-marketing from the two loci, each of which has different abilities but also has the same opportunities in business. Through improvement efforts, in the future e-marketing development efforts can be carried out more optimally in order to achieve maximum visit levels.

Abstract

In the business world, having a good image is undoubtedly something that needs to be considered. This good image can be a way of income, especially for Plaza Hotel Semarang. Unfortunately, problems have arisen in the past and dragged on until now. This study aims to determine the public relations strategy to create and maintain a positive image of Plaza Hotel Semarang. The research method used to obtain quality data is through interviews and literature studies on related issues. The result is that Plaza Hotel Semarang has begun to design a new strategy to change its image among the wider community. However, some internal problems require special attention to be addressed first, especially in human resources. The researcher also listed several related inputs that are constructive and can be implemented appropriately for Plaza Hotel Semarang.

Abstract

The fact that marketing continues to evolve towards digital dynamics, E-WoM is present as a key element in the latest marketing strategies. This study will provide a brief overview of E-WoM as a natural form of marketing carried out by consumers and how optimized marketing strategies can benefit from it. The study focuses on studying the impact of the spread of E-WoM on consumer visiting interest and aims to examine the role and impact of E-WoM management on consumers. The qualitative approach is carried out by the author with case studies, field studies, to literature studies assisted by documentation and interview methods. The data analysis model is drawn conclusions with a data triangulation model. In the process of using social media, berkah jaya bake house seems to rarely post pictures, but still has high polularity due to the influence of E-WoM. Planning for the reconstruction of the E-WoM marketing strategy is carried out at the locus of "Berkah Jaya Bake House", especially through social media accounts.

Abstract

In organizing an activity, of course, it requires the role of public relations as a connector of information to the community. Public relations from the Prima International Tourism Polytechnic made several efforts in socializing open house activities. Socialization both through digital content, e-brochures to visits to schools conventionally. Through a descriptive participative method and filling out questionnaires, random sampling was carried out and a total of 130 respondents were found. Assisted by field observation and documentation activities, data interpretation can be done more clearly and in detail. In some questionnaire questions found positive results and based on these results, it can be assessed the performance process of public relations that can exceed the expectations of management. There are several things that can still be improved in the future so that open house activities by the Prima International Tourism Polytechnic are more mature in the process of implementation.

Abstract

The tourism business plays a significant role in economic income, with creative spaces emerging as a notable trend in the industry. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy promotes these spaces to support creative economy entrepreneurs. One critical issue aspiring entrepreneurs face is securing capital, leading to the adoption of crowdfunding methods. Miwiti Creative Spaces, a pioneer in Semarang, has explored this fundraising method. This study investigates the application of crowdfunding methods in the contemporary tourism business. Employing a qualitative descriptive method supported by documentation, the research identifies various stages implemented by Miwiti Creative Spaces in applying crowdfunding to meet their needs. The findings indicate that crowdfunding can effectively address funding challenges for new entrepreneurs. Specifically, the study reveals that Miwiti Creative Spaces follows a structured approach, beginning with identifying potential projects suitable for crowdfunding. They then plan strategically to reach potential backers, leveraging social media and other digital platforms for outreach. The process involves continuous communication with supporters to build trust and maintain interest, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the funding period. The study underscores that crowdfunding provides a financial solution and fosters community and engagement among supporters. This can enhance the visibility and reputation of new ventures. Consequently, the research concludes that crowdfunding is a viable and beneficial method for overcoming funding barriers in the creative economy sector. This insight is valuable for policymakers and entrepreneurs leveraging crowdfunding for business development.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran modern menjadi tuntutan pada era 4.0. Salah satu media pembelajaran kontemporer adalah quizizz web tool. Melalui quizizz, tenaga pengajar dapat melakukan kegiatan belajar yang jauh lebih seru. Istilah penggunaan game dalam pembelajaran disebut gamifikasi. Sebanyak 34 mahasiswa perhotelan UDINUS menggelar uji coba penggunaan media pembelajaran ini. Dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan pendampingan dokumentasi, data terkait tingkat keberhasilan pembelajaran gamifikasi menggunakan quizizz akan dikumpulkan dan diolah. Dalam proses pembelajaran, masalah dapat terjadi dari suatu system error atau human error, dosen dapat mencegah kedua faktor tersebut di masa depan. Namun, hasil hanya 65% dari hasil belajar mendasari perlunya evaluasi berkala untuk penggunaan alat web quizizz di masa mendatang. Selain itu, faktor pendukung lainnya harus disiapkan untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran melalui quizizz dengan sempurna.

Abstract

Training in a tourist village is something that many universities do in community service programs. The implementation of this program is located in the Kampung Tua Bakau Serip Tourism Village, Batam in the form of training with the theme of human resources, marketing and packaging. The method of implementing the program focuses on online material training and offline practice. This method was chosen because it can increase efficiency in terms of limited time and is able to increase opportunities for development in a short time. After the training, the participants felt very helped by this activity and got a lot of new information that would be useful for the development of the destinations they managed. This training provider does not stop at 1 university, but it is hoped that there will be new collaborations with other universities, local governments and ministries to private entrepreneurs through the CSR programs.

Abstract

Each business has its marketing strategy. In the digital era, utilizing social media become part of the marketing strategy that every single business has used. Through social media, businesses can reach out to various types of customers and decide who will be their customers. This study aims to find out how digital marketing strategies in Arunika Eatery, Kuningan, increasing consumer purchases, the types of marketing content that can increase the promotion of Arunika Eatery, Kuningan, and what the supporting and inhibiting factors in marketing their products through social media. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. Arunika Eatery, Kuningan, has implemented a digital marketing strategy through social media with a 70-20-10 strategy. Arunika Eatery, Kuningan carries out its marketing strategy with diverse and exciting content, which contains event promotions carried out by Arunika Eatery Kuningan, information about Arunika Eatery Kuningan, short videos, quotes, and question and answer sessions to its followers. This research focuses on the analysis of marketing strategy for the food and beverages business, especially in the Kuningan area. The researcher is the first one to conduct research about Arunika Eatery, and there's no previous research.
