Abstract

Office Syndrome is increasingly common due to sedentary work environments and inadequate ergonomic practices. This condition is characterized by a variety of symptoms, such as musculoskeletal pain, visual fatigue, sensory disturbances, sleep disturbances, and mental stress, which impact workers’ health and reduce productivity. However, the assessment of this condition is often hampered by the lack of comprehensive and standardized measurement tools. This study aims to develop and test the validity and reliability of an office syndrome screening questionnaire that covers seven dimensions: physical pain, muscle fatigue, visual fatigue, sensory disturbances, decreased productivity, sleep disturbances, and mental stress. The study was conducted cross-sectionally involving 47 office workers in the Jababeka area, Cikarang, who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was filled out independently via Google Form. Validity testing was carried out using Pearson correlation analysis (items are valid if r > 0.3 and p < 0.05), while reliability testing used Cronbach’s Alpha (reliable if α > 0.7). The results showed that all items had a significant correlation to the total score (p < 0.05), with correlation values ranging from 0.416 to 0.697. The highest correlation was found in the items "Decreased work efficiency" (r = 0.697) and "Difficulty concentrating" (r = 0.673), while the item "Muscle tension" had the lowest correlation (r = 0.416) but was still valid. The overall Cronbach's Alpha was 0.745, indicating good reliability. This screening questionnaire was proven to be valid and reliable to measure symptoms of office syndrome comprehensively.

Abstract

Dermatitis is a common inflammatory skin condition that can significantly impact patients' quality of life. Studies on the prevalence and risk factors of dermatitis in Indonesia remain limited. To analyze the prevalence, demographic distribution, and the relationship between occupation and types of dermatitis in a dermatology clinic from 2020 to 2024. This retrospective study utilized medical record data of dermatitis patients who visited a dermatology clinic from 2020 to 2024. The variables examined included age, gender, occupation (2020–2023), case type (new/existing), and dermatitis diagnosis. Statistical analysis was conducted using the chi-square test to identify the relationship between occupation and dermatitis diagnosis. There was a significant decrease in dermatitis prevalence from 9.75% during the 2020–2023 period to 4.63% in 2024. The 25–44 year age group had the highest number of cases, with a predominance of female patients. The chi-square test showed a significant association between occupation and dermatitis diagnosis (χ² = 70.259; p < 0.05). Dermatitis remains a significant health issue with a distinct demographic distribution. Improvements in data collection and diagnosis classification are necessary for a better understanding and the development of effective prevention strategies. These findings have important implications for clinical practice and health policy in Indonesia, particularly in terms of workplace prevention and management of dermatitis.

Abstract

The increasing number of non-communicable diseases demands practical therapy innovations, including adipose-derived stem cell application. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of adipose stem cell therapy on non-communicable disease patients. The method used in this study was a systematic review according to PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The database search was done on PubMed, Google Scholar, Proquest, and the EBSCO host database between 2016 and 2021. ROBINS-I tool and RoB-2 were used to assess the risk of bias in the clinical trial study. The first literature search identified a total of 2615 articles. After exclusion for some reason, 6 articles were included in this systematic review study. A total of five studies were included in this study. Based on the risk of bias assessment of the included studies, it was found that all studies had a low risk of bias in all domains. This study showed that the efficacy of adipose-derived stem cell therapy was inconsistent; however, the results were promising. In addition, the results showed that adipose-derived stem cell therapy was safe without significant side effects. Further study was needed to identify therapeutic strategies based on Evidence-based Medicine (EBM).
