Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the structure of the novel Dirawu Kélong by Ahmad Bakri; 2) analyze the educational value of Ahmad Bakri's Dirawu Kélong novel; 3) as well as for learning materials for reading novels in class IX SMP. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method. The technique of collecting data using the literature study technique and the data source is the novel Dirawu Kélong by Ahmad Bakri. The results of this study are: 1) this novel is themed about the daily life of Udin, the lines used are mixed lines, and the 18 characters involved. The mandate contained in it is to advise about life so that you can think long, respect all God's creatures, and be obedient to your parents; 2) Analysis of educational values ​​in the Dirawu Kélong novel includes character education values, namely religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, national spirit, love peace, love to read, care for the environment, responsibility; 3) the novel Dirawu Kélong deserves to be used as a learning material for reading novels in grade IX SMP because it covers aspects of language, psychology, and cultural background..

Abstract

Semiotics in Cibingbin District, Kuningan Regency, Regional Language and Literature Education Study Program, 2021.59 pages. This research was carried out because considering the activities of the traditional gusaran tradition that hindered its extinction, as well as the large number of young people who had not preserved the traditional gusaran tradition. This study aims to describe the implementation of the gusaran traditional tradition, as well as the semiotic analysis that exists in the gusaran traditional tradition in Cibingbin District, Kuningan Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive. Data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research are 1) the implementation of the traditional gusaran tradition in Cibingbin District, Kuningan Regency, which is divided into 3 parts (a) preparation: preparing offerings, worshiping (b) Core activities: bathing children, making up children, praying, brushing teeth, feeding children, member jewelery (c) closing: preparing sawer, sawer, prayer. The semiotics in the gusaran tradition are: 1 icon, namely (miserly), 4 indices (the smell of offerings smoke, the aroma of coffee water, the taste of coffee water, praying), 13 symbols (coins, wenghal, huntingu, fried chicken, yellow rice, coffee). bitter, sweet coffee, egg, umbrella, rice, turmeric, thread, food container). .

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine student’s ability to write short stories using pictures media. The method used in this research is an experiment with a quantitative approach and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used are pretest and posttest. The data analysis techniques employed are validity tests, normality tests, and paired sample t-tests. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan with a sample of 30 students from class XI-3. The result of this research are: 1) students’ ability to write short stories before using picture media was still far from the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) with an average score of 72,16; 2)students’ ability to write short stories after using picture media improved with an average score of 85,83; 3) based on the t-test (paired sample t-test ), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected because the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of picture media has a significant effect on students’ writing ability in short story lessons in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Kuningan. Thus, it is also recommended for teachers to apply this method in their teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using mind mapping learning media on students' learning outcomes in reading fairy tales in Sundanese language lessons in grade VII at SMP Negeri 2 Jalaksana. The problems encountered in teaching fairy tale reading are low student interest and understanding of the reading content, as well as the dominance of conventional methods used by teachers. This study employs a quantitative approach using an experimental method and a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consists of students from class VII-A selected through simple random sampling. The instruments used include pretest and posttest assessments to measure improvements in learning outcomes. The results of data analysis using a paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This proves that the use of mind mapping has a positive and significant effect on students' fairy tale reading skills. This medium helps students understand the elements of fairy tales visually and systematically, as well as increasing active involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is: 1) to describe the results of students before using flashcard learning media on the ability to write Sundanese script in SMA Negeri 1 Bantarujeg class X; 2) to describe the results of students after using flashcard learning media on the ability to write Sundanese script in SMA Negeri 1 Bantarujeg class X; 3) to describe the effect of flashcard learning media on the ability to write Sundanese script in SMA Negeri 1 Bantarujeg class X. The method used in this study is an experimental research method with a One-Group Pretest Posttest Design design with a quantitative research approach. The sampling technique used in this study is using purposive sampling, the sample is class X.2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Bantarujeg, Majalengka Regency. Data collection techniques through observation, testing and documentation. The instrument used was a pretest-posttest question. The data analysis techniques used in this study were validity testing, normality testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study were that before using flashcard learning media on the ability to write Sundanese script, the largest pretest value was 80 while the smallest value was 10 with an average of 39.43. After applying flashcard learning media to the ability to write Sundanese script, the largest posttest value was 90 while the smallest value was 50 with an average of 73.86. From the test results, the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000. This means that Sig. (2 tailed) <0.005. It can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value of students before and after using flashcard learning media on the ability to write Sundanese script. Thus, flashcard learning media has a significant influence on the ability to write Sundanese script in SMA Negeri 1 Bantarujeg Class X.

Abstract

The STAD (Student Team Achievement Divisions) cooperative learning model is the simplest cooperative learning model that involves students participating in small groups. This study aims to describe the effect of the STAD learning model on the writing skills of students in Grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Cilimus. This is a quantitative study. The research method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The instruments used in this study are pretest and posttest questions. Data collection techniques include observation, literature review, documentation, and testing. Data analysis techniques used expert validity tests, data normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-Test. Before the implementation of the STAD model, only 2 out of 35 students in the experimental and control classes achieved the Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM) of 75. After implementation, the number of students in the experimental class who achieved the KKM increased to 32, with the average score rising from 36.69 to 85.03. Meanwhile, in the control class using the lecture method, only 8 students achieved the KKM, with the average score increasing from 36.54 to 65.00. The hypothesis test used an Independent Sample Test with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between the two classes. These results show that there is a significant effect before and after using the STAD cooperative learning model on the writing skills of students in Class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Cilimus.

Abstract

Metode active learning quiz team merupakan metode pembelajaran berbasis tim yang bisa menghidupkan suasana kelas lebih aktif, dan bisa melatih stimulus siswa untuk berfikir kritis. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode active learning quiz team pada kemampuan menulis sisindiran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain one group pretest posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian siswa kelas XI TKJ SMK Auto Matsuda Kuningan. Instrumen menggunakan soal pretest dan pottest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji paired sampel t-test. Hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu : 1) hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis sisindiran sebelum menerapkan metode active learning quiz team masih jauh dari nilai KKM dengan rata-rata 46,63; 2) hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis sisindiran sesudah menerapkan metode active learning quiz team mengalami peningakatan dengan jumlah nilain rata-rata 79,81; 3) berdasarkan uji paired sampel t-test Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak karena nilai sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. maka dari itu adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan metode active learning quiz team pada kemampuan menulis sisindiran.

Abstract

Evaluation of Student Online Learning with A System Thinking Approach. One of the successes of the learning process can be seen from the student's grades, but the overall evaluation process based on feedback from students can be done using systems thinking approach. Objective: The systems thinking approach in research aims to find out the obstacles to the online learning process and determine problem-solving strategies to improve the quality of online learning. Methods: The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Findings: Based on the results of the study, there are 20 variables of obstacles in the implementation of learning that are interrelated and influence the implementation of learning. Conclusion: The results of the study, it shows that the objective variables in learning are the learning process, student understanding of learning material, and value of learning outcomes, the supporting variables to answer the learning objectives are lecturer creativity and student motivation.Keywords: evaluation, learning, online, systems thinking.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202209

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to describe the results of writing personal experiences before using YouTube learning media at SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin class VII; 2) to describe the results of writing personal experiences after using YouTube learning media at SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin class VII; 3) to describe the influence of YouTube learning media on writing personal experiences of students at SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin class VII. This research is quantitative research. This research uses a quantitative approach to experimental research with a Pretest-Posttest one group design. The instruments in this research are pretest and posttest essay questions. Data analysis techniques use expert validation tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests and independent t-tests. The results of this research are: 1) student learning outcomes before using YouTube learning media are still far from the KKM (Minimum Provision Criteria) with an average score of 51.32; 2) student learning outcomes after using YouTube learning media have increased in accordance with the KKM (Minimum Adequacy Criteria) with an average score of 77.79; 3) the influence of YouTube learning media on the results of writing personal experiences at SMP Negeri 1 Cibingbin Class VII based on the paired sample t-test, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected because the sig.(2-tailed) value was 0.000<0.05. So, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between student learning outcomes before and after using YouTube learning media on the results of writing personal experiences.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) pelaksanaan upacara adat Kawin Cai di Kabupatén Kuningan; 2) unsur-unsur budaya upacara adat Kawin Cai di Kabupatén Kuningan, dan 3) desain bahan ajar artikel budaya upacara adat Kawin Cai di Kabupaten Kuningan untuk mata pelajaran Bahasa Sunda di SMA Kelas XII. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakannya yaitu pedoman wawancara, kamera, dan alat tulis. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tokoh budaya upacara adat Kawin Cai. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) pelaksanaan upacara adat Kawin Cai terdiri dari 4 kegiatan yaitu menyembelih kambing, menjemput air, penyambutan utusan penjemput air, dan pelaksanaan Kawin Cai; 2) unsur-unsur budaya yang terdapat dalam upacara adat Kawin Cai terdiri dari : a) ada dua bahasa yang digunakan yaitu Sunda dan Indonesia; b) dalam sistem pengetahuan adanya ilmu hitungan palintangan; c) sistem organisasi sosial masyarakat terdiri dari 7 pemerintahan desa yaitu Babakanmulya, Jalaksana, Ciniru, Padamenak, Nanggerang, Sadamantra, dan Maniskidul; d) peralatan yang digunakan adalah keris, kendi, totolok, dan payung; e) mata pencaharian masarakatnya adalah petani dan pengrajin; f) sistem kepercayaannya adanya ajaran agama Islam, dan; g) kesenian yang digunakan adalah seni tari dan seni musik Sunda; dan 3) upacara adat Kawin Cai di Kabupaten Kuningan bisa dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar membaca artikel budaya pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Sunda kelas XII.Kata Kunci: Artikel Budaya, Bahan Ajar, Kawin Cai, Unsur Budaya, Upacara Adat AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe: 1) the implementation of the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony in Kuningan Regency; 2) the cultural elements of the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony in Kuningan Regency, and 3) the design of teaching materials for cultural articles of the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony in Kuningan Regency for Sundanese language subjects in SMA Class XII. This is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The instruments used are interview guidelines, cameras, and stationery. The data sources used in this research are cultural figures of the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony. The results of this research are: 1) the implementation of the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony consists of 4 activities, namely slaughtering goats, fetching water, welcoming water fetching messengers, and carrying out Kawin Cai; 2) the cultural elements contained in the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony consist of: a) there are two languages used, namely Sundanese and Indonesian; b) in the knowledge system there is a science of counting palintangan; c) the community social organization system consists of 7 village governments namely Babakanmulya, Jalaksana, Ciniru, Padamenak, Nanggerang, Sadamantra, and Maniskidul; d) the tools used are krises, jugs, totolok, and umbrellas; e) the livelihoods of the community are farmers and craftsmen; f) the belief system is the teachings of Islam, and; g) the arts used are Sundanese dance and music; and 3) the Kawin Cai traditional ceremony in Kuningan Regency can be used as teaching material for reading cultural articles in class XII Sundanese language subjects.Keywords: Cultural Articles, Teaching Materials, Kawin Cai, Cultural Elements, Traditional Ceremony
