Abstract

Abstract: People nowadays have diverse plan in the future and each plan certainly needs cost planning. Most of them having trouble to manage their finances consistently. Therefore, Bank Muamalat offer it’s product (Tabungan iB Hijrah), to help customers to effective achieve their future goals based on Islamic law. This study aims to analyzing the customer’s intention to adopt Islamic Banking product in Bank Muamalat, Manado using the Theory Planned Behavior model (Attitude, Subjective Norms, Perceived Behavioral Control). This study uses quantitative method. Questionnaire is used to collect the data. This research derived and examined the model through multiple linear regression model in a sample of 90 respondents which are customer of Bank Muamalat, Manado. Finding of this research shows that Subjective Norm influences customer’s intention to adopt islamic banking product in Bank Muamalat, Manado significantly. While, Attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control do not have  influence on customer’s intention to adopt the product. From the result, it is recommended for the policy makers related to manager and marketers to provide adequate information in campaigning the product, promote the customers about the differences and benefits of Islamic Banking Product. Keywords: islamic banking, theory planned behavior, customer’s intention to adopt

Abstract

Abstract: Quality of Work Life is all the original inputs which aim at improving the employee’s satisfaction and enhancing organizational effectiveness. The sample size of this research is 36 employees that currently working in Bank SulutGo Branch Office in Amurang. The result of this study shows that the indicators of each variables such as Adequate and Fair Compensation placed in Quadrant II, Safe and Healthy Working Conditions placed in Quadrant I, Immediate Opportunity of Use and Develop Human Capacities placed in Quadrant I and II, Future Opportunity for Continued Growth and Security placed in Quadrant III, Social Integration in the Work Organization placed in Quadrant II, Constitutionalism in the Work Organization placed in Quadrant I and III, Work and the Total Life Space placed in Quadrant III, the Social Relevance of Work Life placed in Quadrant II. So based on the findings in this research, there are some recommendation for Bank SulutGo Branch Office in Amurang.Keywords: quality of work life, human resource management, importance performance analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to find out the pricing strategy that is utilized by hotels in Manado and what are the factors affecting pricing decision. This research using qualitative approach and the data was gathered by in-depth interview with seven informants, in this case the sales and marketing manager and accounting manager of the hotels. The result shows that each hotel using two pricing strategies and there are three hotels using similar strategy and the others using different pricing strategy than the other hotel. This research found the most preferable pricing strategy used by hotels in Manado are Hi-Lo season strategy, Demand-based pricing, Competition-based pricing, cost-based pricing, price per segment, and customer willingness to pay. The research recommends the hotels to keep updating their strategy because most of the hotels in determine the price depends on the market demand and seasonality. In this case, the hotels have to do more in promoting their hotels especially during low season. For additional, the government also have to develop the tourism in Manado so that many tourists arrive which results in the demand for hotel room increase.  Keywords: pricing strategy, price determinants, star hotels in manado, qualitative study

Abstract

Switching behavior is abandoning a product or services in favor of a competitor. The background of this research is to compare how is the customers’ responses to the service that the banks gives to them due to high competition between the bank nowadays and the purpose are to know about the switching behavior between the banks which are Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Manado and Bitung. This research is a  quantitative type of research, which uses primary data obtained through questionnaires and uses independent sample t-test as the analytical tool to find out if there is a significant difference in consumer switching behavior based on 5 different indicators which are price, reputation, distance, advertisement, and service quality. The population of this research is all the customers of Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Manado and Bitung as a developing city in North Sulawesi province, and the sample size is 100 of BNI’s customers and 100 of BRI’s customers. So the total is 200 respondents in Manado and Bitung. The result of this research showed that 3 indicators had no significant difference between the two banks and as recommendation BNI should improve their service to the rural areas especially in Manado, Bitung and surrounding. Keyword: consumer switching behavior, independent sample t-test.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang menjadi kriteria untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi atau instansi adalah mengidentifikasi dan mengukur kinerja pegawai. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah perencanaan sumber daya manusia, analisis pekerjaan dan penempatan pegawai secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Biro Pengembangan SDM Provinsi Papua. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 44 orang dengan menggunakan metode sampel jenuh. Hasil secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Pada Biro Pengembangan SDM Provinsi Papua dan secara parsial Perencanaan SDM dan Analisis Pekerjaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Pada Biro Pengembangan SDM Provinsi Papua. Sementara penempatan kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Pada Biro Pengembangan SDM Provinsi Papua. Pimpinan Biro Pengembangan SDM Provinsi Papua sebaiknya memperhatikan faktor Perencanaan Sumber Daya Manusia dan Analisis Pekerjaan agar kinerja pegawai dapat meningkat. Abstract

Abstract: Development of restaurant industry is growing rapidly in Indonesia resulted in developing Japanese Food Restaurants. Ichiban Sushi, Marugame Udon, Torico and Pepper Lunch are Japanese Food Restaurants located in Manado Town Square compete to give satisfaction to the customers. Physical Environment, Food Quality and Price Fairness have impact to the Customer Satisfaction which affects the repurchase intention of the customers and gaining profit. The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences between male and female customers of Japanese food restaurants in Manado Town Square determined from factors such as Physical Environment, Food Quality and Price Fairness. The Respondents are 100 customers of Japanese Food Restaurants in Manado Town Square divided by 50 male and 50 female. By using Independent Sample t-Test it shows that there is significant difference between male and female customers in Food Quality and Price Fairness meanwhile there is no significant difference between male and female customers in Physical Environment. For restaurateurs and managers, they should create new menu which suit male customers and pay attention to the food quantity. Thus, the price will become reasonable for the customers. They should upgrade their physical appearance so the customers will not get bored with the environment.Keywords: Physical Environment, Food Quality, Price Fairness, Independent Sample t-Test, Restaurant

Abstract

There are a variety of economic sectors that supporting economic growth in Indonesia. From some of the existing economic sectors, Small and Medium Enterprises sector has an important role and strategic in national economic development, both in terms of the amount of enterprises, in terms of job creation, as well as in terms of national economic growth as measured by Gross Domestic Product. Introducing or promotions become one of the important things that should be done by the government in an effort to develop existing SMEs, the objective of promotion in order that existing society can know and recognize existing SMEs. This research used qualitative research methodology. In this research, Department cooperatives and small medium enterprises and the owner of SMEs in Manado as the informant, the total informant are 8 people. The result of this research show that the Promotion Strategy for SMEs is very important, the promotion helpfully the SMEs for develop, with promotion the product or service from SMEs will know by people, and so many ways to do the promotion, used social media, print media, brochure, or join the exhibitions. For the government, must more give attention to promote the SMEs in Manado, and also the government must make a special website or application only for SMEs, so it can make easy for customer to buy or for SMEs to promote or sell their product Keywords: promotion strategy, small medium enterprises, department of cooperatives and SMEs

Abstract

Abstract: Since more competition in business nowadays, many companies are required to build long-term profitable relationship with customers and to achieve customer loyalty. All of company and from every industry tried giving their best to maintained customers satisfaction. One type of services companies that important in the business world are banks that has work as a financial institution and financial intermediary for everyone. There are so many ways and differences relationship marketing tactics implemented for the customers. This study analyses the relationship of marketing tactics namely service quality, communication and price perception in PT. Bank SulutGo Siau. Used qualitative method, 10 customer were interviewed to collect the data. A semi-structure interview is used in this research to collect primary data. Result and conclusion showed that service quality, communication and price perception as became indicators in this result has positive responses from customers Bank SulutGo Siau. Keywords: relationship marketing tactics, service quality, value offers, communication.

Abstract

Since the 1998 economic crisis to the global financial crisis, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have been able to survive. Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have an important role in supporting economic growth to date. This study aims to determine the analysis of the factors that influence the performance of small and medium enterprises in Manado. This research was conducted using a causal study with a quantitative approach in which data were obtained through interviews and questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who were distributed to SMEs owners/managers in the city of Manado. This study has 20 variables. The sampling technique uses the purposive sampling method. The analysis technique used is the validity test, reliability test, factor analysis test, and multiple linear regression test. The test was carried out using the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that there were 3 factors that determine the performance of SMEs: (1) External Factors, (2) Planning and Relationship of Human Resources, (3) entrepreneurial skills and innovation.Keywords: factors influencing performance, small entreprises, medium enterprises

Abstract

In line with the Indonesian government's economic development program, where the starting point is directed towards improving prosperity and poverty alleviation through economic empowerment of the people, it is estimated that Indonesia will need an additional  20  million new business units outside the agricultural sector in the next 15 years to increase the carrying capacity of economic growth and job creation for the Indonesian population. The development of new entrepreneurs related to efforts to grow a conducive business environment, fostering community willingness to entrepreneurship, improving the ability of the community to entrepreneurship. This research aims to find out the significant influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, education, and skill on small-medium enterprises in Manado simultaneously. The type of this research is a quantitative method. The results show that entrepreneurial knowledge, education, skills as the independent variable simultaneously affect business performance as the dependent variable. Based on the analysis, since entrepreneurial education is strong predictors of business performance, the factor was recommended to be a push to make the growth of the business performance of SMEs real, and companies should maintain a sustainable system both internally and externally so that in the future they can always maintain their performance. Keywords:     entrepreneurial knowledge, entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial skill, small-medium enterprises performance.
