Abstract

Junior football players often encounter difficulties in managing their sleep and dietary patterns. At the same time, they need to balance their time between scheduled school activities and training sessions. This dual responsibility can sometimes make junior athletes susceptible to sleep and dietary issues, potentially affecting their performance. This study aimed to examine the sleep patterns and dietary intake of football players across different age groups at a football club in East Java. We compared the sleep patterns and dietary intake of players in the U18 (n=18), U16 (n=13), and U14 (n=8) categories. Data were collected through interviews using validated questionnaires. Dietary intake was assessed with a semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ). Sleeping quality and quantity were assessed using structured questionnaire adapted from Pittsburgh Sleeping Quality Index (PSQI). The results showed no statistically significant differences in the quality or quantity of sleep across all groups (p > 0.05). However, a trend suggested that U18 players had slightly better sleep quality and quantity compared to the other groups. In contrast, the U18 group demonstrated significantly lower energy intake than the other groups (p = 0.000). The U16 group exhibited the best energy and nutrient intake among all age categories. In conclusion, older and younger player groups tend to overlook dietary patterns, while their sleep patterns remain relatively consistent.

Abstract

Olahraga futsal memiliki tingkat cedera yang tinggi, terutama pada pemain muda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanasan neuromuskular yang mencakup pemanasan dan peregangan jika dilakukan bersama dengan berbagai latihan penguatan dapat mengurangi risiko cedera, salah satu contohnya adalah Pemanasan FIVE+. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pemain dan praktisi futsal berdasarkan analisis situasi. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui pendekatan pemahaman masalah mitra, yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat lokal dalam menemukan, menganalisis, dan menyelesaikan masalah. Tes awal dilakukan sebagai langkah pertama dalam menjalankan program. Setelah itu, peserta diajarkan tentang materi melalui seminar dan aktualisasi teori. Terakhir, tes akhir digunakan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat pemahaman peserta tentang materi. Hasil menunjukan bahwa program ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan program pemansan FIVE+ dalam mencegah cedera olahraga. Evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penerapan program dalam periode latihan serta nilai dari kebermanfaatan program. Dengan demikian, program ini tidak hanya meningkatkan aspek pengetahuan tetapi juga membentuk fondasi yang kuat untuk selalu memperhatikan komponen pemanasan selalu penting untuk dilakukan dalam latihan khususnya program FIVE+ yang telah disebar dan dipraktikan dalam kegiatan. Selanjunya, kegiatan aktualisasi akan terus diupayakan berkelanjutan dengan tema lain guna memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman bagi praktisi maupun atlet di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Training is aimed at improving an athlete's abilities in a methodical and consistent manner to demonstrate their peak performance. This specifically refers to training focused on passing. Small Sided Games serve as a training technique used in futsal that closely mimics a real match scenario, with modifications in aspects such as rules, playing area, and number of participants. These games revolve around skill development and conditioning, serving as game-oriented drills. They offer an efficient way to train that addresses technique, strategy, and physical endurance all at once. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental study with two groups, namely, experimental group 1 which was given small-sided games training and experimental group 2 which was given rondo training which was selected randomly. The population was studied 25 players with 22 players selected as research samples through purposive sampling techniques. This study shows that there are changes resulting from both exercises on the passing accuracy of the players. The conclusion is that small sided games and rondo training both have an influence on passing in each group.

Abstract

Injury is one of the most common health problems experienced by TNI members in carrying out their duties as soldiers. Injuries to the TNI cause performance that is not optimal in carrying out tasks, especially field tasks. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of coaches, organics, and civil servants in the Army Polytechnic environment. The activity was carried out on 24 August 2023 at the Politeknik Angkatan Darat, involving 19 organics and civil servants as participants. The activity began with the material delivery, then measuring participants' knowledge and skills in injury management. The activity results increased from 10.26 ± 1.24 to 12.47 ± 2.25. So, with the Community Service activities carried out, Poltekad Organics and civil servants can carry out independent handling of acute and subacute sports injuries to optimize healing and prevent recurrent injuries.

Abstract

Program Swim Boost (Body Optimization and Strength Training) dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan renang dan mengurangi risiko cedera pada atlet renang. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur dampak program Swim Boost terhadap pengetahuan pelatih renang di Klub Ayo Renang Akademi, Kota Malang. Metode yang melibatkan pre-test, seminar penyampaian materi Swim Boost, dan post-test pada 12 orang peserta pelatih renang. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 44,5 (74% dari nilai maksimal) pada pre-test menjadi 50 (83% dari nilai maksimal) pada post-test, dengan peningkatan sebesar 5,5 poin (9%). Sebagian besar peserta mengalami peningkatan skor, mengindikasikan efektivitas program Swim Boost dalam meningkatkan kemampuan renang. Hasil ini mendukung penerapan program Swim Boost sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan performa atlet renang dan mengurangi risiko cedera, sehingga dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan olahraga renang yang lebih sehat dan berprestasi di Indonesia.
