Abstract

A computer network is a group of computers that are connected to one another by using a communication protocol through transmission media or communication media so that they can share data, programs, share hardware such as printers, hard drives and so on. The purpose of the measurement is to obtain measurement results on Virtual Private Network (VPN) network technology with parameters of Throughput (KBps), Delay (ms) and Packet loss (%), in order to analyze the results of QoS (Quality Of Service) performance of Virtual Private Network networks. (VPN) servers that meet the standards of good service quality and efficiency. The method used is Action Research which is an action research aimed at developing the most efficient work method. With action research. Action research is divided into several stages which are cycles, namely: Performing diagnostics (diagnosing), Making an action plan (action planning), Taking action (action taking), Conducting evaluation (evaluating), and Learning (learning) and measurement results of delay parameters and packet loss greatly affects the value of throughput where the greater the value of delay and packet loss, the smaller the resulting throughput value. The value of delay and packet loss is getting smaller, the better, while the bigger the worse, while the throughput parameter is on the contrary, where the bigger the better, the thing that greatly affects the value of the measurement of delay, packet loss and throughput on VPN networks besides attenuation and noise is the amount of bandwidth given so that it is very important. affect the measurement of the QoS value as for the suggestions to be conveyed in this study is to increase the bandwidth on the VPN network so that it has very small delay and packet loss values ??and large throughput so that a better QoS value can be obtained.

Abstract

The development of information technology has provided convenience in every service to service users. Region II Higher Education Service Institutions in accordance with Permendikbud Number 34 of 2020 have the task of facilitating the improvement of the quality of higher education implementation with higher education work areas in South Sumatra Province, Lampung Province, Bengkulu Province and Bangka Belitung Islands Province. LLDIKTI Region II already has online-based services such as the Lecturer Rank Information System (SIKITO) and DiTES as well as the LLDIKTI Region II website. In addition to online-based services, LLDIKTI has unystematic public services such as Institutional Services, Administrative Personnel Services and Lecturers. These services have not been integrated with each other. Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) is the planning and control of information technology assets such as systems, infrastructure, people and processes to support business operational needs as efficiently as possible to ensure that organizations have the ability to evaluate processes and performance on an ongoing basis in order to identify and implement opportunities for improvement ( opportunities for improvement). IT service management planning to identify Service documents that exist in LLDIKTI Region II and plan information technology service documentation with ITIL version 3. Information Technology Services are useful for aligning business with service quality and determining customer needs and expectations in an agreement between service providers and service users .

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi (TI) telah memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap sistem tata kelola, khususnya dalam peningkatan layanan publik dan transparansi administrasi. Namun, masih banyak daerah pedesaan di Indonesia, termasuk Desa Teluk Payo di Kabupaten Banyuasin, yang belum memanfaatkan TI secara maksimal karena belum adanya dokumen perencanaan yang terstruktur dan strategis. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada perangkat desa dalam menyusun Rencana Strategis Teknologi Informasi (RPTKI) yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi Desa Teluk Payo. Metode yang digunakan meliputi lokakarya partisipatif, wawancara pemangku kepentingan, dan sesi pendampingan untuk memastikan bahwa proses perencanaan selaras dengan tujuan pembangunan desa. Hasil dari program ini adalah selesainya satu dokumen resmi RPTKI Desa Teluk Payo. Dokumen ini diharapkan dapat menjadi panduan praktis untuk melaksanakan inisiatif berbasis teknologi secara berkelanjutan dan berorientasi pada tujuan, sehingga mendukung transformasi digital pemerintah desa.

Abstract

Digital transformation is an important process to improve the efficiency and quality of services, including within the scope of village government. This study aims to analyze the extent to which Palembang Village is ready to face digital transformation by assessing factors such as environment, strategy, organization, human resources, service offerings, and technology and innovation. The methodology used is quantitative through surveys, questionnaires, and linear regression analysis. The findings of this study indicate that organization and human resources are the most significant factors influencing digitalization readiness. Validity and reliability testing show a high level of consistency in the research measuring instruments used. This study recommends increasing training for the workforce, strengthening technology infrastructure, and integrating digital systems to accelerate the digital transformation process. With the implementation of a planned digital transformation, it is hoped that there will be an increase in operational efficiency and public satisfaction with village services.

Abstract

The cowhide cracker industry in Banyuasin Regency represents a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector with considerable local economic potential. However, it continues to face a range of challenges, including low production efficiency, limited access to appropriate tools and skilled labour, and suboptimal utilisation of digital media for marketing purposes. This community engagement initiative aims to enhance the production capacity and digital marketing capabilities of local business partners, as part of implementing the Higher Education Tri Dharma, particularly in the area of community service. The approach adopted involved participatory problem identification, training in hygienic and efficient production techniques, assistance in the use of simple production tools, and digital marketing workshops focusing on the effective use of social media and marketplace platforms. The initiative also included efforts to strengthen product branding through the development of attractive packaging and logo designs tailored to consumer preferences. The outcomes of the programme indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of production management and digital marketing strategies. Business partners demonstrated increased independence by actively managing online marketing accounts and adopting improved packaging designs. These results reflect the tangible benefits of the initiative in supporting MSME transformation towards greater competitiveness and resilience in the digital era. Consequently, this activity not only contributed to improving product quality and marketability but also fostered local economic self-reliance through technology-based innovation and the promotion of local creative potential

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) requires students to have adequate digital skills as provisions in facing the challenges of modern education and the world of work. However, the digital divide is still a serious problem in various non-metropolitan areas, including in Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency, South Sumatra. This community service program aims to improve digital literacy and competence of SMAN 1 Talang Ubi students through intensive training and workshops. The implementation method includes initial needs assessment, preparation of training modules, implementation of practice-based workshops, and evaluation of student competency achievement. Training materials include the use of productivity software, basic data processing, introduction to programming, and digital ethics. The results of the activities showed a significant increase in students' understanding and skills in the field of ICT, as well as the emergence of interest in further exploration in the field of technology. This program not only has a positive impact on students' mastery of digital skills, but also contributes to building a sustainable digital learning ecosystem in the school environment.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public service delivery requires community readiness in understanding and utilizing technology. At the village level, digital information systems such as Prodeskel, EPDeskel, Siskeudes, and SIPADES have been implemented by local governments to improve efficiency and transparency. However, low levels of digital literacy among citizens can hinder optimal use of these digital services. This study aims to map the digital literacy capabilities of the community in Sanga Desa Subdistrict as a basis for assessing their readiness to access technology-based public services. The research employed a quantitative approach using questionnaires based on the Digital Literacy Global Framework (UNESCO), which includes five dimensions: information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, safety, and problem-solving. A total of 500 respondents from 17 villages participated in the study. Data analysis using the digital literacy index and SPSS revealed that the majority of residents fall into the high and very high categories of digital literacy. However, some villages still demonstrate low readiness levels. This study recommends strengthening digital literacy training, developing digital infrastructure, and fostering collaboration between government and communities to support the success of digital transformation in rural public services
