Abstract

In this study, we identified the feasibility and response of students to the development of CTL-based e-student worksheets, and after using the developed e-student worksheet. The purpose is to improve the capacity of scientific processes. An applicable research methodology is R&D using the ADDIE model. The research instrument used was an expert validation, a questionnaire for student, and pre-test post-test sheet. The developed electronic student worksheet was tested by 18 SMAN 1 Anyer Class XI students. Through the results of expert reviews conducted, student worksheets developed received an average material expert rating of 86.03% in the highly effective category and an average media expert rating of 86.75% in the highly effective category. Student responses averaged 85.8% in the very good category. The effectiveness of the student worksheets, evaluated using the results of the scientific process skills test and the pair sample test with an average n-gain score of 0.57 in the intermediate category, showed a significant difference between the students’s pre-test with post-test results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the CTL-based e-student worksheet has been declared viable and effective for enhancing scientific process capabilities related to temperature and thermal materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan keteramplan berpikir kreatif siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) pada materi medan magnetik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen.  Menggunakan desain penelitian yaitu, pre-test post-test control group design. Model AIR sebagai variabel bebas dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebagai variabel terikat. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 19 Kab. Tangerang. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu, kelas XII IPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas XII IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Purposive Sampling. Berdasarkan hasil uji T pada pre-test kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen yaitu, thitungttabel sebesar 0,7732,042 maka tidak terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada siswa pada kedua kelas uji. Berdasarkan uji T pada hasil post-test yaitu, thitungttabel sebesar 8,5482,042 disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kreatif antara siswa kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil peneilitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa menggunakan model AIR pada materi medan magnet.

Abstract

It has been claimed that an Indonesian seaweed lipid extract possesses antibacterial properties. The mitochondrial pathway reported that a long fatty acid (more than 10 carbon atoms), which is known as the major component in seaweed lipid extract, acts as an apoptotic agent. It has also been claimed that unsaturated fatty acids can prevent apoptosis. on this study, we investigated the role of an Indonesian seaweed lipid extract on the mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis. Lipid isolation was the first step of the study, which was carried out using centrifugation and a chloroform-methanol-phosphate buffer 2:1:0,8. Rotary evaporators were used to separate the lipid extract from its solvent. Dry weight Gracilaria sp. yield extraction was 21,8%. By using several centrifugation techniques in SET buffer (0,25 M Sucrose, 0,5 mmol EDTA, and 10 mmol/L Tris base), pH 7,4, mitochondria were recovered from rat liver. By adding 10% (v/v) lipid extract to a suspension of mitochondria, toxicity testing from the lipid extract was undertaken. By using light microscopy, mitochondrial morphological damage was seen. Gracilaria sp. exhibits strong apoptotic activity.

Abstract

Despite the importance of scientific literacy for learning, Indonesian students typically lack adequate literacy skills. The goal of this study is to determine whether teaching methods that use live worksheets and the flipping stem class paradigm can aid students in developing their scientific literacy. A quantitative quasi-experimental research design was used for this investigation. All pupils in class XI IPA 1–5 at a high school in Serang District made up the study's population. Class XI IPA 1 served as the experimental class for this study, and class XI IPA 2 served as the control class. Pretest, posttest, and student response questionnaires were the instruments used in this study. The posttest findings revealed that the experimental class outperformed the control class in terms of average score. This is demonstrated by utilizing the t-test to assess the outcome of the final test, where the values of t-count> t-table are 5.56>2.00. The control class's N-Gain scores 0.52 in the medium category and the experiment class 0.76 in the high category. According to the results of the student response survey, learning was put to good use in 87.1% of cases. According to the research, teaching with live worksheet while having the class turn around can enhance students' reading abilities, particularly in physics classes on heat transfer materials.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the low problem-solving skills of students in learning physics. This study aims to determine whether there is no increase in the effectiveness of using Android-based learning media “Fun Physics Learning” on students' problem-solving skills. This type of research used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The population used was all students of class X SMAS Mandiri Balaraja, while the research sample used two classes, class X for the experimental class and the control class. The instrument used is a test in the form of an essay, which the validator and student response sheets have validated to the Physics Scatter application. Data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the results of students' problem-solving skills, which were shown in the pretest and post-test of the experimental class, where there was a significant increase in the N-Gain acquisition of 0.61 in the medium category. Based on the hypothesis test using the t-independent sample test, obtained t-count = 11.002 and t-table = 2.045 at a significant level of 0.05 and got a positive student response. It was concluded that using Android-based Physics Spread learning media can improve students' problem-solving skills and is effectively used in learning.

Abstract

Analyzing the structure of the material in the fields of material science needs a very good device and methods. Due to its principle in projected images at various tilt angles and calculation of the three-dimensional volume reconstruction with a distinct algorithm, tomography become an excellent tool for analyzing the 3D structure. Several research has been studied to apply electron tomography in ESEM (Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy) which gives an opportunity in observing the wet material (hydrated) in the aquatic environment. In this research, we showed the advisability of wet-Carbon compound tomography by simulating the interaction of electron materials. Abstract

There is an increasing demand for creative ways to turn garbage into useful resources as environmental sustainability becomes more and more of a global concern. Carbon dots can be synthesized using organic materials, one of which is bitter melon skin. The goal of this research is to create an economical and environmentally friendly process for creating carbon dots from organic waste. The bitter melon peel synthesis process uses a bottom-up method with microwave techniques. Furthermore, c-dots were characterized using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer to determine the absorbance value and wavelength and FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red) to determine the functional groups contained in the sample. The UV-Vis spectrophotometer characterization results obtained an absorbance value of 3.311 and a wavelength of 206 nm. FTIR results show the presence of O-H and C=C functional group bonds indicating that this synthesis process has been successfully carried out.Keyword: Carbon Dots, Bitter Melon Peel, Bottom-up

Abstract

This research was conducted against the backdrop of the emergence of problems in the use of fossil energy which caused Indonesia to have an energy crisis. Education is one of the efforts to prevent the energy crisis. Therefore, research on the development of teaching media integrated with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) was conducted. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of material and media validation and students' responses to the acceptance of teaching media. This research has developed ESD integrated animated video teaching media to facilitate visualisation learning on renewable energy material. This research method uses R&D with Thiagarajan's modified 4-D research model with stages namely define, design and development. This research. The results of material expert validation obtained a percentage of 83.7% which was categorised as very feasible and media validation obtained a percentage of 85.4%. Student response to teaching media obtained a percentage of 87.7% which is categorised as very good.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu kunci dalam keberhasilan siswa belajar fisika. Dengan pemahaman konsep yang baik maka siswa dapat memecahkan permasalahan dalam soal dengan baik pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa dalam memahami percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal menggunakan dua metode berebeda dan faktor penyebab kesulitannya. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan platform video YouTube sebagai media dalam mengetahu kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 30 siswa kelas 11 MIPA 2 SMAN 1 Panggarangan dengan memberikan tes tertulis berupa pilihan ganda beralasan dan wawancara terhadap 10 orang siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan kategori nilai. Sebelum dilakukan wawancara, siswa diminta untuk menonton video YouTube mengenai percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua video tersebut belum mampu membuat siswa menjadi paham konsep dari perceatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal, masih banyak konsep yang belum mereka pahami seperti besaran kecepatan linear dan keceatan sudut, arah dari percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal, penurunan rumus percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal, alasan mengapa percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal mengarah ke pusat dan mengapa arah kecepatan linear menyinggung lintasan. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep gaya sentripetal dan percepatan sentripetal masih rendah. Faktor internal yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kesulitan adalah belum memahami konsep, minat belajar fisika dan kondisi fisik. adapun faktor eksternal penyebab kesulitan belajar berdasarkan hasil penelitian adalah pembelajaran daring, manajemen waktu kurang baik dan lingkungan belajar.Kata kunci: Gaya sentripetal, percepatan sentripetal, kesulitan belajar, pemahaman konsep.

Abstract

Kurangnya minat siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika di sekolah akibat pembelajaran yang jarang menggunakan media pembelajaran dan cenderung monoton menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat media pembelajaran yang layak, melihat respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran yang dibuat dan mengetahui pengaruh dari media yang dikembangkan terhadap minat belajar fisika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (RD) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk media pembelajaran Fluidy memperoleh persentase sebesar 92% dalam kategori "sangat layak" berdasarkan validasi ahli materi dan media, lalu persentase sebesar 88% dalam kategori "sangat layak" berdasarkan hasil angket respons peserta didik. Selain itu, berdasarkan nilai standar gain sebesar 0,39 dengan kategori "sedang" membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran Fluidy dapat meningkatkan minat siswa dalam pelajaran fisika. Dari hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Fluidy layak dan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat siswa dalam belajar fisika.
