Abstract

Moderate Islam is regarded as a middle ground between overly conservative and overly liberal attitudes. This approach highlights the importance of implementing Islamic teachings that consider humanitarian values and social harmony, such as peace, tolerance, and respect for diversity. This article aims to analyze the contributions of Nahdlatul Ulama to moderate Islamic thought in Indonesia, focusing on how the organization formulates the concept of religious moderation and its influence on social, political, and religious developments in Indonesia. The research method employed by the researcher is qualitative, using a literature study approach. The research findings indicate that Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) has a significant contribution to the development of moderate Islamic thought in Indonesia, manifested through various fields such as education, politics, social issues, and preaching. In education, NU introduces a curriculum that integrates Islamic teachings with local values, focusing on character development that reflects moderation, tolerance, and pluralism. In the political and social realms, NU plays a role in promoting stability and diversity through moderate attitudes, as well as actively engaging in public policy advocacy that supports tolerance and national unity. NU's social and preaching movements strive to build a harmonious society through economic empowerment programs, humanitarian activities, and interfaith dialogue. NU also has strategic policies to reject extremism by promoting religious moderation, enhancing public understanding, and creating constructive dialogue spaces.

Abstract

This study was motivated by public skepticism regarding the implementation of deep learning in education, particularly at the elementary level. The research aimed to examine the pedagogical benefits and ethical considerations of implementing deep learning through an axiological lens. A systematic literature review was conducted. The axiological analysis revealed that deep learning empowered students to develop a sense of belonging in their learning through critical thinking and reflection, fostering joyful, mindful, and meaningful learning experiences. The study highlights the importance of active, authentic, and collaborative learning, while also emphasizing the ethical considerations such as adaptability to digital learning environments and the quality of learning materials aligned with students' needs, interests, and life contexts.

Abstract

Al-Farobi was a Muslim philosopher who laid the foundations of Islamic philosophy sequentially and in detail, and then his philosophy was influenced by Greek philosophy. Al-Farobi said this form was created from the cause of the first form (Allah) which is found in many parts, which is called genesis, when philosophers used the power of reason to fulfill the truth while the prophets were filled with reason. Revelation was given to the people they chose. Farabi's political philosophy is similar to Plato's philosophy of idealism. Leaders are the first agents of society who are able to achieve happiness, just as the heart is in the body, other parts of the body also help create the desired happiness.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian kualitatif berbasis kepustakaan ini mengkaji hubungan antara agama, sains, dan filsafat yang saling melengkapi dalam upaya manusia untuk menemukan kebenaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sains, agama, dan filsafat sangat erat berhubungan dengan potensi utama manusia, yaitu akal budi, pikiran, dan perasaan, yang sangat penting untuk mencapai kebenaran dan kebahagiaan. Dengan mempertimbangkan manusia sebagai makhluk Tuhan, sains dan nalar adalah tolok ukur pencarian kebenaran. Akal budi memungkinkan manusia memahami sesuatu dengan lebih jernih sehingga dapat memanfaatkan lingkungannya secara optimal. Begitu pula dalam filsafat, akal budi dan penalaran merupakan landasan fundamental untuk mengungkap hakikat segala sesuatu atau cara memperolehnya. Akan tetapi, dalam agama, yang kebenarannya telah ada sejak awal waktu, penerjemahan dan penerapan ajaran agama ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari memerlukan akal budi dan penalaran..
