Abstract

This study aims to conduct a preliminary study in developing project-based learning practicum instructions in Inorganic Chemistry courses. This study uses a survey method, where data is obtained by conducting a survey through the Google form platform. Participants in this study were 41 students who took inorganic chemistry courses at the chemistry education study program at Sriwijaya University. The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to develop project-based learning practicum instructions for inorganic chemistry, as teaching materials in inorganic chemistry courses that apply project-based learning models in the current new normal era. The characteristics of students show that students feel happy, more motivated and feel more creative when participating in project-based learning.

Abstract

enelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku petunjuk praktikum mata kuliah kimia anorganik yang valid dan praktis. Pengembangan buku petunjuk praktikum ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari Define, Design, Development dan Disseminate. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan Kimia Universitas Sriwijaya. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian pada tahap define menunjukkan bahwa membutuhkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan yaitu bahan ajar berbasis project based learning. Pada tahap design didapatkan terdapat 9 topik yang dimuat didalam buku petunjuk praktikum, dimana pada masing-masing topik terdiri dari bagian pendahuluan dan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan 1) Merencanakan Proyek, 2) Fase penelitian awal untuk memperoleh informasi, 3) Pengembangan dan Evaluasi awal Prototipe Produk, 4) Fase penelitian kedua (pelaksanaan praktikum), 5) Pengembangan Presentasi Akhir (Laporan), dan 6) Publikasi (Presentasi). Hasil tahap development menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek materi rata-rata penilaian ahli yaitu 96,87% dinyatakan sangat valid, dan pada aspek pedagogik dan desain mendapat rata-rata sebesar 100% dinyatakan sangat valid. Hasil proyek mahasiswa menggunakan buku petunjuk praktikum berbasis projek based learning berada menunjukkan hasil sangat baik. Dan hasil kepratisan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pada aspek desain, materi dan pedagogik yaitu 100% dinyatakan sangat praktis. Dengan demikian, buku petunjuk praktikum berbasis Project Based Learning dinyatakan layak dan praktis untuk digunakan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan LKPD IPA Terpadu berbasis problem based learning yang akan dikembangkan. Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Rowntree dimodifikasi dengan evaluasi formatif Tessmer. Prosedur penelitian ini yaitu perencanaan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari self evaluation dan expert review. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IX.B2 SMP IT Raudhatul Ulum yang berjumlah 19 peserta didik. LKPD divalidasi oleh tiga orang dosen FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya terdiri dari satu dosen pendidikan kimia, satu dosen pendidikan biologi, dan satu dosen pendidikan fisika. Aspek yang dinilai pada LKPD yang dikembangkan adalah aspek desain, aspek pedagogik, dan aspek materi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah angket validitas aspek desain, materi,dan pedagogik serta menggunakan analisis data validasi menggunakan rumus Aiken. Hasil validitas aspek desain memperoleh skor sebesar 0,91, validitas aspek pedagogik dari hasil penilaian tiga validator diperoleh sebesar 0,90, dan validitas aspek materi diperoleh sebesar 0,88. Ketiga aspek desain, pedagogik, dan materi tersebut memperoleh nilai sebeser 0,91, 0,90, dan 0,88 yang termasuk kategori tinggi menurut Aiken (1985). Keseluruhan skor rata-rata penilaian validitas LKPD dari ketiga aspek (desain, pedagogik, dan materi) sebesar 0,89 yang termasuk kategori tinggi menurut Aiken (1985) yang menunjukkan bahwa LKPD IPA berbasis PBL pada topik kandungan kimia hidroponik metode nutrient film technique dinyatakan valid dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kebutuhan adanya modul mata kuliah kewirausahaan terintegrasi STEM topik pakan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas ikan mujair. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa semester 7 Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Sriwijaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Diperoleh nilai rata-rata uji validitas angket yaitu 0,763 dan uji reliabilitas angket yaitu 0,963 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 30,8% mahasiswa sangat setuju dan 69,2% mahasiswa setuju adanya modul pembelajaran kimia pada mata kuliah kewirausahaan dengan topik pakan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas ikan mujair yang dibutuhkan di era pandemi covid-19 dan berminat untuk melakukan budidaya ikan mujair.

Abstract

Design thinking is an innovation methodology that combines skills, processes and mindset. Design thinking is becoming increasingly popular in education as a way to encourage students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Teachers and students can solve wicked problems creatively using design thinking. This research aims to determine the validity and practicality of an ethnoscience-based design thinking e-book. This research was conducted using walkthroughs and questionnaires. Validation data was analyzed using Cohen's Kappa while practicality data was analyzed using percentages. The results show that the ethnoscience-based design thinking textbook that was developed was said to be valid in aspects of design, systematics, substance and writing style. The textbooks being developed are also said to be very practical in terms of design, language, material and interest aspects.

Abstract

Team-based learning is learning that is imposed on students to improve students' critical thinking, problem solving, solution finding, and communication skills. This learning is also useful for lecturers as teaching staff to improve higher abilities and skills. Researchers will combine practicum instructions with a team-based learning model. Team-based project practicum instructions will be able to make students together do practicum utilizing the surrounding environment to produce practicum products. This research is a research development with ADDIE development model and Tessmer formative evaluation. The research stages consist of self evaluation, expert reviews, one to one, small group. The innovation and originality of this research is the valid and practical team-based project practicum instructions used in Biochemistry practicum lectures. The results of the research were tested and used in Biochemistry team-based project practicum lectures. The results of laboratory development validation show the Aiken coefficient of 0.86 for material experts and 0.90 for design experts. The results of the implementation show the practicality of 96.45%. It can be concluded that the biochemistry lab instructions on team based project developed in the Biochemistry practicum is valid and practical.

Abstract

The urgency of this research stems from a follow-up to previous research that mapped the level of inventive thinking among chemistry education students at Sriwijaya University, which was found to be at a moderate level. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct further analysis of the factors that influence inventive thinking. This study aims to determine the relationships among Attitude toward Learning, Interest in Learning, and Digital Literacy and Inventive Thinking among Chemistry Education Students at Sriwijaya University. This research is a quantitative, cross-sectional study. Data were collected through a survey. The instrument used was a 59-item Likert-type questionnaire with 4 points on the scale. The questionnaire included 23 items on inventive thinking, 18 on attitude toward learning, 8 on interest in learning, and 10 on digital literacy. The sample for this study consisted of students in the Chemistry Education study program at Sriwijaya University. The research data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the measurement model test indicated 26 indicators that were valid and reliable. The results of the structural model evaluation showed no multicollinearity problems, and the model explained 61.1% of the variance in the inventive thinking variable, which was classified as high. The results of the path coefficient significance test showed that only Hypothesis 3 had a t-statistic greater than 1.96 and a p-value less than 0.05, indicating that only digital literacy had a positive and significant effect on inventive thinking. Then the results of this research will have implications for the development of learning designs/learning environments that can support the inventive thinking of chemistry education students by integrating learning with digital literacy.
