Abstract

Abstract

Education in Indonesia has undergone substantial transformation with the widespread integration of technology. In this context, technology training for teachers is essential to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in elementary schools. However, only approximately 30% of teachers report feeling adequately prepared to integrate technology into their instructional practices. This reveals a gap between the increasing demand for educational technology and teachers’ readiness to adopt it. This pilot study aims to evaluate the reliability and construct validity of an adapted instrument designed to measure elementary school teachers’ acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in East Jakarta, Indonesia. The study incorporates six key constructs: Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), Social Influence (SI), Facilitating Conditions (FC), Behavioral Intention (BI), and Perceived Trust (PT), with a total of 22 proposed indicators. Data were collected from 61 elementary school teachers who completed a structured questionnaire based on the proposed research model. The results indicate that the instrument meets the required thresholds for both construct validity and reliability. However, only 21 indicators met the established criteria, with one indicator excluded due to low factor loading. The findings from this preliminary study provide a valid foundation for applying the instrument in larger-scale research on teachers’ acceptance of AI technologies in educational settings.

Abstract

Communication management is considered as an important factor related to performance improvement in construction projects. This study aims to identify and determine communication management practices (CMP) in construction projects correlated to project outcomes (PO). Data were obtained from 209 questionnaires distributed to contractors and consultants in the West Sumatra province. The research questionnaire was divided into two components the respondent's profile and four PMK factors, namely Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Communication Skills and Competence (CSC), Communication Management Plan (CMP) and Team Work (TW). Each factor has 4-5 statement items. In terms of project results, it was seen from the project scope, cost, time, quality and safety level. Data were analyzed using Principle Axis Factoring (PAF). The next analysis was the Spearman correlation to evaluate the relationship between each CMP factor and PO. The results showed that there was a strong positive correlation between the three CMP factors (ICT, CSC and TW) and PO. Conversely, no relationship was found between the CMP factor and PO. The may not be fully generalized due to some limitations. However, it helps construction practitioners to recognize the communication aspects that could be improved and strengthened to increase performance of the project.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines indoor air quality (IAQ) in Poltekkes Riau's laboratory building through systematic measurement of six parameters: CO₂, HCHO, TVOC, PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 per Minister of Health Regulation No. 48/2016. Direct measurements were conducted in ten laboratories under three operational conditions (active use, no activity, ventilation shutdown) across different time intervals. Results reveal significant deviations from standards: 60% of spaces exceeded CO₂ limits during active use, while PM2.5 and PM10 exceeded thresholds in 90% of measured spaces. Notably, 70% of rooms exceeded formaldehyde limits and 80% exceeded TVOC limits, particularly in spaces with MDF materials. Original findings document passive off-gassing phenomena where formaldehyde peaked during non-occupancy periods, and establish correlations between architectural features and multi-pollutant accumulation. Recommendations include strategic exhaust fan placement, low-VOC materials, and cross-ventilation systems for tropical educational environments, supporting the urgent need for updated building regulations addressing multi-pollutant environments in health education facilities.
