Abstract

Mastery of mathematics is essential for developing critical thinking skills; however, many students still struggle in this area. This study evaluated the effectiveness of Android-based interactive multimedia, MatHub: Pattern8 Edition, in enhancing critical thinking within PjBL using a STEM approach. The research took place at SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung in the 2024/2025 academic year, employing a quantitative approach with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Using cluster random sampling, class VIIIC with 32 students was assigned as the experimental group, while class VIIIF with 33 students served as the control group. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, critical thinking assessments, observation checklists, and supporting documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills among students using MatHub compared to those applying discovery learning without multimedia. Overall, integrating MatHub in PjBL-STEM improved learning quality, motivation, and student participation, offering an effective alternative for enhancing mathematical thinking

Abstract

Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di SD IT Fitrah Insani Langkapura menghadapi tantangan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Mayoritas guru belum terbiasa menyusun buku ajar secara mandiri dan mengalami kesulitan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi dalam penulisan referensi yang valid. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, LPPM Universitas Sang Bumi Ruwa Jurai menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Manajemen Referensi Berbasis Teknologi untuk Mendukung Penulisan Buku Ajar yang Efektif dan Efisien. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan perangkat lunak Publish or Perish untuk pencarian referensi serta Mendeley untuk manajemen sitasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam menyusun buku ajar yang sistematis serta berbasis referensi akademik. Pernyataan ini dibuktikan dari peningkatan rata-rata skor peserta dari 52,4 menjadi 82,8, yang mencerminkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan menggunakan Publish or Perish, Mendeley, serta penulisan buku ajar. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dan menjadi langkah awal dalam pengembangan bahan ajar digital berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Numerical abilities and educational character are very important in learning mathematics at school, some of the student characters that must be considered are disciplinary and religious characters. This study aims to determine the effect of students' disciplinary and religious character on numerical ability. This study uses survey research methods with descriptive research types with survey techniques. The population used in this research is all SMP/MTs/equivalent in North Lampung for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique used in this study was the cluster random sampling technique, so that MTs Negeri 1 North Lampung and MTs Negeri 2 North Lampung were obtained as samples. Three classes were taken from each school as a sample consisting of representatives from class VII, VIII and IX. The instruments used in this study were a numerical ability test and a disciplinary character questionnaire and a religious character. Data analysis technique using Multiple Linear Regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the influence of the disciplinary character of the religious character on students' numerical abilities was very strong, amounting to 73.6 percent. The results of the regression equation analysis show Y = 32.586 + 0.286X1 + 0.368X2. This equation shows that every 1 increase in the disciplinary character variable will affect the numerical ability variable by 0.286. Likewise, for the coefficient of the religious character variable, it will affect the numerical ability variable of 32.586.

Abstract

Design interactive worksheets based on Canva and Liveworksheets is the aim of this project to assist students in developing their social arithmetic problem-solving abilities. The research methodology employed was research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which comprises the phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants were seventh-grade students and a math teacher from SMP Negeri 5 Kotabumi, Lampung. Tests of problem solving skills, observations, interviews, and questionnaires were employed to gather both qualitative and quantitative data. Subject matter experts' validation assessment, which received a score of 0.84 (very valid), media experts' score of 0.90 (valid), and students' and instructors' practicality index scores of 0.80 (practical) and 0.90 (very practical) all demonstrate the study's findings. The effectiveness of the interactive worksheet developed can be seen based on the testing of the n-gain data hypothesis listed in the significance section (2-tailed), which is 0.0017. There is a difference in the improvement of problem solving skills for students who use interactive worksheets. The novelty of this research lies in the development of interactive worksheets based on the Canva and Liveworksheet digital platforms, which integrate visualization, direct interaction, and automatic feedback to improve students' problem solving skills in social arithmetic. Thus, these findings show that the worksheets are valid, practical, and effective in improving students' problem solving skills.
