Abstract

AbstractWay Belerang Baths is one of the unique tourist attractions by providing a relaxation experience that comes from natural sulfur resources. This bath is located in the middle of South Lampung Regency. The existence of this tourist attraction can have a significant impact on various aspects. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the impact of Way Belerang tourism development on South Lampung Regency's PAD, socio-cultural aspects, and physical environmental aspects. The method used in this study is mix-methods. This study was conducted using the Purposive Sampling technique based on the Cochran formula on all visitors to the Way Belerang Kalianda South Lampung tourist attraction, resulting in a sample of 96 people. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis used in this study were quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. This study used simple linear regression analysis to see the economic impact of Way Belerang Baths tourism development on South Lampung Regency's PAD, and qualitative analysis to analyze socio-cultural aspects and the physical environment. Based on the research that has been carried out, it is known that Way Belerang Tourism levies do not have a significant effect on South Lampung Regency's PAD. Furthermore, Way Belerang Tourism Development has positive and negative impacts on social and physical environmental aspects.Keywords: Economy; Physical Environment; Local Original Income; Socio-Culture; Way BelerangAbstrakPemandian Way Belerang merupakan salah satu objek wisata yang memiliki keunikan dengan memberikan pengalaman relaksasi yang berasal dari sumber daya alam belerang. Pemandian ini berlokasi di tengah-tengah Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Adanya objek wisata ini memberikan dapat dampak yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak pengembangan pariwisata Way Belerang terhadap PAD Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, aspek sosial budaya, dan aspek lingkungan fisik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mix-methods. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling berdasarkan rumus Cochran pada seluruh pengunjung wisata Way Belerang Kalianda Lampung Selatan, menghasilkan sampel sebanyak 96 orang. Teknik poengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis kuantitatif dan analisis kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana untuk melihat dampak ekonomi pengembangan wisata Pemandian Way Belerang terhadap PAD Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, dan analisis kualitatif untuk menganalisis aspek sosial budaya dan lingkungan fisik. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilaksanakan, diketahui bahwa retribusi Pariwisata Way Belerang tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap PAD Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Selanjutnya, Pengembangan Pariwisata Way Belerang berdampak positif dan negatif terhadap aspek sosial budaya dan lingkungan fisik.Kata Kunci: Ekonomi; Lingkungan Fisik; Pendapatan Asli Daerah; Sosial; Way Belerang

Abstract

AbstractTeluk Nipah Beach, located in Bulok Village, Kalianda District, South Lampung, Indonesia, is an attractive tourist destination with stunning natural charm, including stretches of soft white sand and clear sea water. Although it offers stunning sea views and a calm atmosphere, Teluk Nipah Beach faces obstacles in infrastructure development. This study aims to explore the impact of tourism development in Teluk Nipah Beach on the economic and socio-cultural aspects of the people of South Lampung Regency. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were representatives of Bulok Village residents totaling 41 people consisting of Village Apparatus and representatives of Bulok Village residents. The analysis in this view uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes three activity flows, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was found that Teluk Nipah Beach has a positive impact on the economy of Bulok Village, such as creating jobs, benefiting local businesses, generating taxes for highway repairs, and improving the economic conditions of the population. However, the community does not agree with the negative impacts such as increasing prices of goods and services, as well as the cost of living. Socio-culturally, tourism development maintains public services and cultural activities, but also brings negative impacts such as increased crime, changes in traditional arts, and cultural exchange between residents and tourists.Keywords: Impact of Development; Economy; Socio-Culture; Teluk Nipah BeachAbstrakPantai Teluk Nipah, berlokasi di Desa Bulok, Kecamatan Kalianda, Lampung Selatan, Indonesia, merupakan destinasi pariwisata menarik dengan pesona alam yang memukau, termasuk hamparan pasir putih lembut dan air laut jernih. Meskipun menawarkan pemandangan laut yang menakjubkan dan suasana yang tenang, Pantai Teluk Nipah menghadapi kendala pembangunan infrastruktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dampak pembangunan pariwisata di Pantai Teluk Nipah terhadap aspek ekonomi dan sosial budaya masyarakat Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui kuesioner, wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan perwakilan warga Desa Bulok yang berjumlah 41 orang yang terdiri dari Aparatur Desa dan perwakilan dari warga Desa Bulok. Analisis dalam pandangan ini menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tiga alur kegiatan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapat bahwa Pantai Teluk Nipah memberikan dampak positif bagi perekonomian Desa Bulok, seperti menciptakan pekerjaan, menguntungkan bisnis lokal, menghasilkan pajak untuk perbaikan jalan raya, dan meningkatkan kondisi ekonomi penduduk. Namun, masyarakat tidak setuju dengan dampak negatif seperti peningkatan harga barang dan jasa, serta biaya hidup. Secara sosial budaya, pengembangan pariwisata memelihara layanan publik dan kegiatan budaya, tetapi juga membawa dampak negatif seperti peningkatan kriminalitas, perubahan dalam seni tradisional, dan pertukaran budaya antara penduduk dan wisatawan.Kata Kunci: Dampak Pembangunan; Ekonomi; Sosial Budaya; Pantai Teluk Nipah

Abstract

Students' poor critical thinking and mathematical problem-solving abilities are caused by a variety of variables, including teacher-centered learning and an ineffective learning models. In order to increase students' critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving abilities, it is required to use an appropriate and unique learning strategy. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the Blended Learning models, as aided by Schoology Media, on students' critical thinking and mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study used a quasy experimental design as a research method. The population used in this study were all class X students of SMK-SMTI Bandar Lampung. The sample technique employed in this research was cluster random sampling, so that class X KI 4 as the experimental group and class X KI 1 as the control group, each group consisting of 28 students. The instruments used in this study were tests of critical thinking skills, tests of mathematical problem solving Skills, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using descriptive data analysis and inferential analysis. The hypothesis test is in the form of a One-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance (One-way MANOVA) Test. Based on the results of the analysis, 1) There is a difference between the Skills to think critically and the Skills to solve mathematical problems between the two groups of students; 2) There is a difference in the Skills to think critically between the group that is treated with the schoology-assisted Blended Learning model and the group that is given the conventional learning model treatment; 3) There are differences in the Skills to solve mathematical problems between groups that are treated with the schoology-assisted Blended Learning model and the group that is given the conventional learning model treatment; and 4) there is an influence between the Blended Learning learning model on students' critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving.

Abstract

In reality, the level of mathematical literacy among students remains relatively low. On the other hand, although digital tools have significant potential to enhance the effectiveness of learning, their application in the educational process is still limited, compounded by the low level of students' digital literacy, which further hinders the optimal use of technology in mathematical learning. Based on these issues, the aim of this study is to determine the effect of the reciprocal teaching model and digital literacy on students' mathematical literacy skills. The population of this study consists of X AKL students at SMK N 1 Kalianda. The sample includes classes X AKL 1 and X AKL 2. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a 2 × 3 factorial design. The data collection techniques in this study include mathematical literacy tests and digital literacy questionnaires, with data analysis using two-way ANOVA. The results indicate that 1) There is an effect of the reciprocal teaching model on students' mathematical literacy skills; 2) There is an effect of high, medium, and low levels of digital literacy on students' literacy skills; and 3) There is an interaction between the reciprocal teaching model and digital literacy on students' mathematical literacy skills. Based on these results, the implementation of reciprocal teaching learning and digital literacy in a synergistic manner can enhance students' mathematical literacy skills. This highlights the importance of integrating interactive teaching strategies and digital literacy development into the educational curriculum in the digital era.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap interaksi antar model Pembelajaran Index Card Match, Course Review Horay, dan curiosity (rasa ingin tahu) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis, serta perbedaan kemampuan konsep matematis berdasarkan tingkat curiosity. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Desain Eksperimen Semu. Siswa SMP Negeri 01 Bunga Mayang kelas VIII sebagai sampel yang didapat menggunakan  teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan siswa yang mendapat model ICM, model CRH, dan model tradisional dalam memahami konsep matematika; 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika antara siswa yang rasa ingin tahunya rendah, sedang, dan tinggi; 3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara curiosity dan model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan memahami konsep matematika.

Abstract

The open unemployment rate in South Lampung Regency remains high, particularly among high school graduates who lack job-ready skills. This study aims to assess the feasibility of establishing a vocational training center (Balai Latihan Kerja/BLK) using a multidimensional approach based on nine aspects outlined in the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower (Kemnaker) No. 8 of 2017. A qualitative descriptive method was applied, involving observation, questionnaires, and interviews with 100 respondents. The feasibility assessment covers employment, demographics, geography, law, socio-cultural aspects, economy, science and technology, management, and funding. The findings suggest that the proposed Vocational Training Center (BLK) is deemed feasible across all assessed dimensions. The majority of respondents expressed the need for training in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), supported by demographic factors and location readiness. The training has been shown to improve skills, facilitate employment absorption, and foster entrepreneurial interest. In conclusion, the establishment of a BLK in South Lampung has strong potential to improve workforce quality and reduce unemployment. Government commitment, industrial collaboration, and continuous development of facilities and training programs are essential. Future research is recommended to evaluate the post-establishment impact of the BLK on employment absorption and local economic development.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate “MatHub,” an Android-based interactive multimedia application designed to support students' understanding of number patterns in middle school mathematics. The research followed the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants included eighth-grade students and a mathematics teacher from SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The application was validated by media and content experts, who confirmed its strong visual and linguistic feasibility, as well as the relevance and clarity of its content. Student and teacher feedback highlighted that MatHub featured engaging visuals, user-friendly navigation, and accessible language, which enhanced motivation and comprehension. Revisions were made based on suggestions, particularly to improve multimedia elements. Despite facing limitations related to application size and device compatibility, the product was successfully implemented and received positively. These findings suggest that MatHub is a valid and practical learning tool that can enrich classroom experiences and is recommended for broader application in mathematics education at the junior high school level.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the numerical ability improvement in terms of curiosity and creative character education. The study employs the descriptive quantitative method with survey techniques. The cluster random sampling technique selected 120 students from SMP Islam El-Syihab and MTSN 1 Bandar Lampung. Three classes were chosen from each school which consisted of the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades. Each class consisted of twenty students as the respondents. The analysis technique used was the multiple linear regression to investigate the effect of curiosity and creative characters on students' numerical abilities. The results showed that the curiosity character had a more significant influence on students’ numerical abilities (0.870 or 87%) than the creative character (0,294 or 29%).

Abstract

The role of mathematics teachers in the success of the learning process can be seen from the perspective of the work period, which reflects the level of experience. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the comparison of the implementation of the mathematics learning process from the perspective of the teacher's work period. The type of research carried out in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this research were 2 mathematics subject teachers at one of the state junior high schools in South Lampung, with the criteria being 1 junior teacher and 1 senior teacher. Data collection techniques use participant observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementation of the learning process is measured using instruments in the form of observation sheets and interview guides. The observation sheet uses the Guttman scale and the Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's steps, which consist of data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and verification or drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it was found that both junior and senior teachers had good criteria for implementing the mathematics learning process. So, it can be concluded that differences in teachers’ work periods do not affect the process of implementing mathematics learning. Based on these results, support from the school must play an important role. Both junior and senior teachers must receive sufficient support from school management, continuous training, and guidance so that they can achieve good criteria in implementing the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

This study examined the implementation of problem-solving-based learning in mathematics education within schools in Victoria, Australia. It aimed to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing students' critical, logical, and creative thinking skills while identifying challenges in integrating this approach into the curriculum. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving literature review, classroom observations, and informal interviews with teachers and students. Data collection focused on exploring instructional practices and their alignment with curriculum objectives. Results indicated that problem-solving activities fostered conceptual understanding and practical application of mathematics in real-life scenarios. Examples, such as measuring distances using average steps and solving optimization problems, demonstrated increased student engagement and comprehension of mathematical concepts. However, challenges included teachers' limited understanding of problem-solving strategies, insufficient resources, and language barriers in interpreting real-world problems. Despite these obstacles, integrating structured activities and diverse instructional strategies proved to be a promising method for improving mathematical learning outcomes. These findings underscore the importance of aligning pedagogical practices with curriculum goals to enhance mathematics education.
